Hi Mike Thanks for adding your touch. It makes a lot of sense. I have a 2020 American Coach Dream and I just carefully inspected the skylight and didn't like what I saw so I may be performing a preventive maintenance as well. Carl Bullock Newtown, PA
Mike, Great job building the frame... I am a little concerned on 2 fronts. Please share your thoughts. The first is Corrosion from the water maybe even salt if you get close to the ocean, is running down and under the Alum. frame. The frame is creating a pool for water to stand next to it. Did you use SS screws? I will have to replace my skylite on my Dynasty shortly and I will most likely use SS screws and large SS washers to cover more of the surface. I may even use SS plate but not as wide as you did and seal under it before putting it down.. Thanks for sharing what you did. Jon
Jon, no worries with water pooling as I'm sure it will evaporate and each layer as well as under the aluminum frame has butyl caulking applies soon no chance of it getting under the frame. Yes, I used stainless steel fasteners. Thanks for watching. Mike
Many Monaco's use a squared off triangular shape as well. I would still use the same process even if mine was the other shape. I remember seeing the other Monaco's shaped skylight on several websites that I looked at when I was researching mine so I know they're available. Mike
Used to be an old Holiday Rambler Scepter owner. I remember you when I used to browse the IRV2 forum. Enjoying your vids.
Thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and for the comments.

Nice job Mike. I’ll have to take a closer look at ours now.
Quality and well engineered as always Mike. Have a great travel season. 👍
Thank you. I appreciate that.

Nice job Mike, I'll probably be doing this here soon on my coach, thanks for a great example. I tend to go on the overkill side as well.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and for the comments. Best of luck in your skylight replacement.
Mike
Nice job as usual Mike. What size screws did you use?
Thank you. If memory serves I used #6 stainless steel screws.

Nice job! I would like to do mine this way, but I need to find the parts first. My skylight isn't square. Quinn
