The stock market was choppier than usual today. It has been on one of the best bull runs in a long time, and we have some fascinating charts to dive into today. The first half of July is usually one of the strongest periods of the entire year. So far, July is holding up to its historical expectations. Investing does not need to be complicated. In fact, the simpler the better in my opinion. I'm retired and did so at age 42 with about $1.1M for two people. We had an advisor from Morgan Stanley in our corner. Maxed 401k for many years and then saved additional in index funds in taxable account. Our rate of return has been around 10% percent per year in the taxable account over the last 10 years.
I have Fidelity and they offer financial advisors...met with them and I was already in line with my investment choices like above, and followed the flow chart....Have my Roths, IRA, Brokerage, and 401K.
I will go back soon to discuss rollovers to from IRA to Roth.

You have lost some compound strength but trust me you're still relatively early. I have a financial advisor for you. Her name is Nancy Magaret Delony. Look her up, she has an extensive following.

I use vanguard personal advisor services. They charge 0.3% a year.
I could tell you what he has me invested in, but AGE matters so much. I am 52 and retired. So I have stocks and bonds. Stocks are in "Vanguard total stock market fund", and some in "Vanguard international fund". There might be a third similar one.
I'd have to look at my bond fund. For you at age thirty, mostly stocks is advised.

Congrats! I jumped into the market in 2022 and had a huge run in energy and tech stocks with appreciation and dividends- just hit the coveted ~$1m mark, but I’m thinking we may see another rate hike with the market going bonkers.
The market will keep going up for another year, in my opinion
I am up $30k so far on Nvidia which is crazy as I have only had it for just under a year. They are building a whole ecosystem which most people are missing. Chips, robotics, autonomous cars meaning they are well positioned for the new growth waves! Happy to hold for the long term. Generational company in my opinion.

I refinanced the house as it was just paid off got in at 3% ,3 years ago. Tried with buy raw land to sell. Took 2 plus years. And the housing market is low now with an 8% interest. So i moved to see how stocks go. I bought in 05 during housing crash barley got the loan, nobody wanted to give out. So theres 40 plus year olds just now paying off there house to get into the market. Over a so called bad economy.

Id swing with a smaller percentage of your portfolio but wait for that pull back and try to jump back in when it starts swinging back up. Hard to know how far it’ll pull back though
