For those that don't understand, the games between these two were MUST WATCH football during that era. People were going to get rocked, people were going to get fucked up, and nobody knew who was going to win. Without a doubt, these were the best games of all time.

The most important part Bthorn about this rivalry's era was that those games mattered. We like to sell rivalries today, but few routinely mattered 2, 3 times a year. Who's getting to the playoffs, who's winning homefield advantage. Who's going to the SB. These were two teams that at that time, if you beat them, you were worse for wear.

I’m a Ravens fan and the Steelers always won the most important games. The Ravens won the ones that didn’t matter. So frustrating. There were a lot of very questionable calls (and non-calls) in this game though especially the hold on Webb’s kickoff return TD. But the Ravens deserved to lose this game after blowing that gift of a lead the Steelers gave them, and then giving up a bomb behind the defense on 3rd and 18 with the game on the line smh

@@StefanHolmes-dr5fcIt’s like the Steelers playing bad teams. Throw them against a 10-2 Ravens and the Steelers would have no problem going toe to toe. Put em against a 2-10 Browns and the Steelers redefined choking. It was the weirdest thing to watch.

The Steelers still just might have a great defense with the draft picks they got. Sure Ryan Shazier is gone (temporarily at least), but Devin Bush is a great substitute. Also, I know this comment was posted in October of last year when the Steelers defense was not so good due to the absence of Ryan Shazier, but now the Steelers have good draft picks, and could become a great defense again.

@@fruitbythefoote Yes you are right. "Could" is a key word. It can happen, and I believe with the right instructions, the Steelers can beat the Patriots in their home stadium off the bat in week one. I can agree that the offense is good, however, due to the new draft picks it is hard to tell if the offense really has improved or not. In my opinion with Benny Snell at RB, the Steelers will have a dangerous running game should he get the chance to play a game. If all goes well, there could be a new "Terrific Trio"

    • @fruitbythefoote

I was at this game with my dad and it will forever be one of my most favorite games we've ever been to! At halftime, the whole place was dead quiet because the Steelers were looking like they were gonna be one and done, but then the fumbles galore, the comeback, and the AB helmet catch had the stadium LITERALLY bouncing. We were in row A of section 511 and we could see that the whole upper deck was bouncing up and down like there was an earthquake. Then when they played Renegade, OMG...the energy from the crowd was unmatched. The defense was feeding off of it. Houshmandzadeh dropping that ball on 4th down was chef's kiss..Terrible towel curse got him!
Then after the Steelers won, we were all chanting "J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!" as we were leaving the stadium because we wanted to see the Jets knock the Patriots out of the playoffs, which they did! LOL...Really sucks that this team couldn't seal the deal and beat the Packers in SB XLV. Haven't had a complete team like the 2010 Steelers since

They wouldn't be able to pay them all though. The Steelers' O-line back then was the result of prioritizing a strong front 7 backed up by a decent secondary (besides Polamalu) en route to a consistently dominant defense with Woodley, Farrior, Keisel, Ziggy, and Harrison. There's NO WAY we would be able to have that AND the O-line we have now not to mention Brown, Juju, and Bell, especially when you consider how Bell is demanding to be paid right now.

Good times watching this game I was a junior in college and I remember when The Ravens were up 21-7 and kept saying all the Steelers needed was one turn over to turn the tide. Ray Rice fumbles, which never happens, and the Steelers recovered. From that point on, I knew the game had turned. Classic game and great finish and wouldn't expect anything less in a Steelers Ravens game.

Look at the evolution of the NFL man... pure muscle and powerhouse teams with only 50 running yards each, passing the ball almost the entire game, clutch plays and amazing performances. QBs turned from weak linebackers that take hits and keep doing their job into flexible kickers like Patrick Mahomes. Shits crazy man
