It looks like you can finally make your own characters, hopefully u can be able to see them throughout the story when you play that. anyone know when this comes out, and if you'll be able to go to ssj4?
I got this game because it reminded me so much of when i was a child. I here that all the new dbz stuff totally sux so i want to check it out for myself. I personally don't mind all of the cut-scenes because it really helps me to catch up on what i missed from all of the episodes i didn't watch
I was in middle School when this game came out so I loved it and still do 😂 I know the game isn't as hype as the trailers made it look but I still enjoyed it.
Yeah…it does but when you really think about it those who mod the game are better than the own developers, like when the gave use the SSJ4 outfit…the tail was stiff. Yet the mods allow your whole body to change, when you transform your hair doesn’t change except for Ssj 3 which makes it seem bland and lazy. If there ever is a Xenoverse 3 they should really fix some of these things. It really came as a shock to find out that anyone who mods the game will be banned, some people used it online which is typically wrong. Now if you mid the game and play locally, or in a single person server you can see a HUGE difference
My favorite Dragon Ball games to date are BT2, Budokai 3, Legacy of Goku II, and Buu's Fury (although I do own GT Final Bout). The Hero Mode is really selling me on this game.
I've played Dragon Ball Z Budokai: Tenkaichi 3 in PS2 and so far it's the BEST Dragon Ball Z game I ever played. I hope this game is as awesome as Tenkaichi 3 in PS2. I havent' played Ultimate Tenkaichi though.

well, i agree with you, but i liked the tenkaichi series more, because that was like you can move around as you want, this is the way back to the old games, and i liked those too, but tenkaichi 3 was unique, so i really miss that :)
Are you people crazy? The cinematic's in this game are amazing, the graphics are beautiful, and the fights are insane. Although, BT3 was probably better, I think this game is a step in the right direction since the Raging Blast series.

people, this game is not bad as you think, it's not only cutscenes, once you get the hang of it, it actually does feel like the best dbz game. i thought the gameplay sucks before buying, now i understand what it is, you can controll the game all the time, but it feels like automtic to someone who's just watching

Playing by yourself this game can get boring fast but once you take your character online this type of gameplay works well its very strategic having to save your ki and know when to use your super and strike booster

My only wish was that they gave us the option of making our own people sooner. DBZT3 was the best DBZ game I ever played...once I saw this...I went absolutely crazy...I might get it but only 62 people....DBZT3 had over 120 characters.....it looks soo awesome but I dunno....I might just Mw3 instead
Man this game is awesome I bought it it was well worth the money I'd even go as far as to say that this game is one of the best DBZ games created it has free roam which eveybody wanted badly, it has character creation which again everybody wanted badly, and last but not least it has GT well SSJ4 Gogeta and Omega Shenron as playable characters and Golden Great Ape Baby Vegeta as a boss battle in hero mode/character creation mode so that's 3 GT characters that appeared in this game so that's 3 th

@hyperkevan While in Hero mode, do the Training option, as you complete training with each charecter, you gain their supers, ultimates and aura's. Also, although I haven't checked it, it seems each class is limited in the skills they can pick up, Heavy get more physical supers and hi physical stats, Small gets more Ki supers and ki stats, Standard gets all supers but only averaged stats.
Well, I know everyone dislikes this game. I wouldn't like it either If I were a DBZ fan. But since I am, I'm happy with it. I bought it for 14,99€ and I like it. I just finished story mode and didn't even started Hero Mode. I bet I'm going to like this game even more. As a DBZ fan, I give this game a 7.5. I probably would give it a 3/4 if I were a regular gamer wanting a fighting game.
Running on Valve's Source engine or CryTek's Cry Engine 2 or 3, this game would be awesome. More dynamic and maximum interaction with environment - this like it should be.

@ThallesNinja Actually there are a surprising number of people that didn't like it that much. In fact when asking around most of the people that enjoyed them either didn't play games before them or didn't like the tenkaichi series.

tenkaichi 3 is the best dbz game ever made. this game is nice but you don't have a lot of control over your character and there are few characters to choose from. however, i think they might add characters as dlc
people who say this game sucks are people who expecting to get into this and button mash their way to victory and didn't bother spending at least 30mins-1hr on tutorial and training. Give it a shot guys, IGN and other game reviewers wouldnt have given it a good rating for no reason!

Ultimate = best it can be. Budukai = Actual Game Tenkaichi = Superb graphics and stuff. A lot easier too. Call me when they make "Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Buokai Tenkaichi"
this game looks like a game where it looks like the whole game is a rush attack game game all they do is rush attacks and barley blast attacks i think that's really good because in Tenkaichi 3 online mode they spam blast attacks
Let me put it this way... Ultimate Tenkaichi was setup to reference the original Budokai series, but more all in all, it's more of a Burst Limit setup. Think of it, Burst Limit was put the same exact way, only with less movements and less 3D. I tend to think of this game under that category, because it doesn't deserve the rank of Tenkaichi.

They should've modelled the creation mode around Dragon Ball Online/Dragon Ball Heroes, with the different species (Namekian, Saiyan, Human, Frieza race) and fighting styles (martial arts schools) and wrote a better story line depending on said species.. I would buy that in a nano second

i bought this game used, then brought it back the next day and exchanged it for DBZ Infinite World. much better game imho
