Just in case that a few phones are stubborn and the restart doesn't help, here's something that might help. A couple of hours ago my phone fell and when I picked it up it had washed out colors. I tried to adjust in settings and then forced restart. Nothing worked. When I went to settings/ display/ Visibility enhancements under "looking for something else"/ color correction, I just switched settings on the bottom from Deuteranomaly (red-green) to Protanomaly (red-green) and the problem was fixed a few minutes ago. I don't know what all of that means in technical talk but I'm grateful it worked.
It did work actually. While the force restart there was maximum screen flickering. I thought it will mess up the screen completely but instead screen is back to normal. The faded tint is gone. Finget crossed.
18MARCH2022 It happen to me just now.all of sudden my note10plus having faded screen or tint even the phone never dropped it happen and i have try to fix via setting display.or might thinking maybe connector ribbon loose.and ready to back up and reset.ive restart so many time.and thinking this the last memory since replacement out of warranty for super amoled super expensive .just thinking to buy a new phone. But amazingly this video shows up .and i follow all the tips.especially on the part which ask me to force restart the phone....using volume down and button hold until it force restart.... AMAZINGLY at the moment it solve my issue INSTANTLY!!!! No more faded..no more tinted.just like it never happen at all . THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS CONTENT. 💓💓💓💓💓💓
I experienced this faded effect with the colours on my screen. Turned out, my blue light filter was enabled. For those of you who didn't get a fix with the suggestions from this video, you can check your drop down menu to see if you blue light filter is enabled. If so, turn it off. That fixed my faded issue.
For me, my Galaxy M51 screen kept going from faded to normal abruptly. Sometimes it would stay faded for more than a day. After watching the video, did force restarts a few times and always kept the brightness to max for a few days. Nothing seemed to work. Just when I had lost all hope, it went back to perfectly normal after almost a week of absolute chaos. Now it is as good as new. So, don't lose hope people!
my phone Note 10+ had the faded screen, turning on focus mode then off fixed it. for my case it's observed on apps that black color will appeared to be tinted with light grey. taking youtube in dark mode for example, background on comment area would be appeared as faded grey, but upon inspected clearly, the notch area (time, 4G, wifi) displaying black normally. for those who had same symptoms as mine, probably had some software issue. turning focus mode on will temporarily disable most app, forcing the setting to reset, then turn focus mode off and will keep the reset setting. your result might vary, good luck.
It really worked man!! I literally spended 4 days for the fix like hell on internet everywhere but didn't got one. This one really fixed my issue thank you so much buddy keep it up❤️
For me, only pressing a bit harder on the screen fixes this temporarily. Therefore it must be a hardware issue in my case that unfortunately cannot be fixed by software. This was my last samsung phone. They get more expensive every year, but the quality gets poorer and poorer.
@@freshbakedclips4659 yeah i had to eventually send in my s20 ultra for repair which at least samsung did a good job on. My screen is working again, but it took almost 3 weeks to get the job done and hopefully i won't have this issue again in a year 😅
Thankyou so much for this, it really works. First it was not working and my light was going faded and coming back to normal. But after sometimes it got back to normal automatically. Again thanks for this sir🎀❣️

Is Samsung aware of this bug? I have it for over month now and it wont go away. As soon as i lock and unlock its back again. Only thing left would be a factory reset but i really dont wanna do that cause of all my data/logins etc.
bro i got a a30s and my lock screen wallpaper has a lot of brighter pixels added to it. on the split second between scanning the fingerprint and unlocking the phone it gets darker and fixes the issue, but it only fixes then. how do i fix it so that it always looks dark (like the original image)
Thanks. Had to come back so i can thank you and like your video, since when you said to hold volume down and power button,my phone Reseted and now my screen color is good!!!! Thanks again!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Pretty sure this is temperature related! I have an S9+. After waking up from a sleep/reboot for at least a few mins it's usually "bright" or normal w/o the fade problem. If your device is "warm" after a few seconds it will fade. I used a refrigerator and CPU-Z app to help confirm the theory and indeed getting the device cool helps. Specifically when temperature for gpu0-usr is below 35C it's usually "bright" or normal. As soon as the device warms above that it fades. Yes this can definitely be software (and/or hardware) controlled. Either software (planned, via an upgrade) obsolescence or the device it getting too hot and backing down non-essential things (desktop CPUs do this so to not cook themselves, usually a setting in the BIOS). If this is software controlled, makes sense this would happen after an update. Backing down to a prior version may help or rooting it to get a different OS running? Anyone want to try? I've never rooted a device but sure beats having to buy a new phone.
The faded look on the display can NOT be 100% fixed. Is related to the low quality of the display panel. Samsung is using lower quality panels on some phones other than S series to cut corners and save money.
Doing the force reboot worked for me. Thanks! I selected. Shut down from menu. Then turned it back on. I think I had "black crush". The black color showed pixelated blocks of blacks and grays.
IT seems to me that it is stuck "ultra bright" mode (when you drag your brightness into the red, as the phone does automatically in the direct sun). However, none of the speps mentioned here helped me :( And I am not fond of reseting my phone just now.
it happens to my samsung s8 plus too, went on ultra brightness while exposed on direct sunlight. i just cleared the system cache in recovery mode then have my phone turned off for straight 12 hrs. Now it's working just fine.

I replaced the screen from local shop. because branded showroom repair was too costly and too far from my location and also they said data will be wiped completely. but local shop said data will be as it is. looks like there is no fix in my case.
Possibly temperature related. Phone gets warm and software sees it and tries to protect itself from overheating (or other reasons)? I put mine in the fridge and it was good for 2 solid minutes. Need to test this theory out a little more.

Just swipe up using 2 fingers from the bottom and your color changes back to normal or normal to faded
Don't increase brightness to warm your display this will burn your screen pixel keep brightness low
