(Las Vegas) Private Ambulances Code 3

AMR and MedicWest are private ambulance companies that are contracted with Clark County Fire Dept. and Las Vegas Fire and Rescue. the first clip with AMR was a unknown medical call, and the second clip is of MedWest transporting a victim from the mass casualty incident on the strip.

Do these ambulances just transport? What is the point of these guys if LVFR has their own paramedic ambulances?

+DanielR the purpose of the contracted ambulances is for transporting all the patients for Clark County fire and some of the transports for LVF&R

they respond to any calls needed, LVFR sometimes don't have the ambulances to send to calls so private ambulance companies would respond and provide care

That second clip is awesome with the two Ambulances and the sirens there. Lovely smart livery.
