This is so beautiful! I cried. So many beautiful things are made in the Name of Christ. I have visited Rome long ago, but skipped this one. I have to go back.
Yes, same here. If man can make a place so magnificent then Heaven must be unimaginably….. I can’t think of any word for it but to make sure I’ll be there one day!
Widzieć grób św.Pawła,Apostoła Apostołów,to ogromne przeżycie!Bardzo wzruszył mnie ten piękny film!
Fabulous!! 👏 👏 👏 Watching your video brought beautiful memories to mind. This is truly an inspirational Basilica!!! Mille Grazie Romano Impero. If one can't be in Rome at the present time, watching your videos is the next best thing!!
Thank you very much for refreshing memories, I have visited 2 or 3 times, San Paolo fuori le Mura, there is a beatiful quiet coister there, exactly as in San Giovanni in Laterano )not mentionning other cloisters)
Compared with the circular vault or rib vault of general cathedrals, the flat wooden truss canopy of the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls is the same as the Basilica of Saint Apollinare Nuovo Ravenna, which is very rare and unique; and the interior It is gorgeous and colorful, giving people a sense of joy ; especially without the oppressive towering verticality of Gothic churches, it makes the spatial focus pointing to the altar more obvious, and it is also sacred. I like it very much
Saluti Romano Impero !
The 1823 fire which destroyed the original basilica is one of the great tragedies of history. The original Roman building had survived almost intact as built all that time to only be destroyed by careless workers on the roof.
I’ve always liked the portraits of all the popes on the walls, but I think it would’ve been much more appropriate in St. John Lateran, considering that’s the popes seat as bishop of Rome. Also, I was surprised at how many catastrophes St. Pauls has suffered. 😮
Thanks! How about Santa Maria Maggiore, San Lorenzo? Castelgandolfo? Have you taken the train from the Vatican station to Castelgandolfo? A friend recommended me to do
@@RomanoImperoTv After that episode you did around Via Salaria and that huge villa, I found the Holy See has the embassy to Italy near by and that Italy has an embassy to the Holy See. Only in Rome 😅
We made the videos on Santa Maria Maggiore and San Lorenzo outside the walls, you can find them in the list. As for Castelgandolfo, it's a bit out of reach, but never say never. 🙂 Yes, the Holy See has embassies in Rome with many foreign countries, some of these are very old. 😉
So what's the story with the painting of each pope? I heard that supposedly that there's only one left and that after the last pope the end of the world is going to happen is this true or false?
I am familiar with the prophecy of Malachi Archbishop of Armagh who lived in the 12th century, which states: ‘during the pontificate of a certain Petrus Romanus, the destruction of Rome will take place.’ 😅

Yes, being outside the historical centre and the protection of the Aurelian Wall, it often remained poorly protected. 👍

I love this Basilica, my favourite in Rome.
One question, is this Italian territory or do the Pontifical Basilicas belong to the Vatican?
The basilica of Saint Paul is located in Italian territory, while St. John Lateran and St. Peter are in Vatican territory. 🙂👍
