I have a degree in Geology and when you first picked that nice ambered colored item up, I thought I noticed a bit of a ammonite shape on part of the edge. That could just be my imagination though. Without being able to test it, it does appear to be amber like some suggest on here. Or it could be an amber colored resin, something that came off a boat maybe and washed up. That's why it may look cracked up the way it is. Amber would be heavier, I would think, than resin. Though amber is a pretty light substance. Items in nature can be fossilized into amber. Wood, shells, sap enclosing bugs from trees...it can take millions of years to form. So, if it is amber, it would be a significant find. One that may interest geologists. I suggest taking it to a University with a Geology department to ask them to analyze it and find out what it is. That would help in finding a value of what it's might be worth if it is anything of value. It's definitely a very neat find!
I have found several of those pieces and found another one that is way bigger. Waiting for somebody to get back to me and have not heard from her for a while. She has a piece of it.
I do believe you found some good pieces of amber. It's from th ocean floor. It breaks free from the floor during big storms and other disturbances on the floor. Frequently, happens in the North Sea. Unlike other gem stones amber is quite light and floats at sea, washing up on to various beaches. You may have made a discovery. I hope this works out for you. Keep searching the other barrier Islands. You may find more and more may arrive after future storms. I wish you well. Wow! Wow! Wow! Let us know how this goes for you. Good luc
Only found your video today. Lovely walk n thank you for sharing your knowledge too.Very interesting. That's a lovely piece of Amber, yes? I love driftwood n always come back from a day at the beach with some.
The angel wings your finding!!! wow, It took me months to find nice ones and it cost me over $110 for 6 of them because I dont live near ocean. But you could be rich if you sold those😄 What is that a giant chunk of Amber??
I didn't see any escape windows on the blue crab trap. Here in the Pacific Northwest we have similar traps we use for Dungeoness crabs. But they're required to have escape doors/windows with rot cord/cotton that will rot away and allow trapped crap escape if the trap is lost, to prevent the trap from continuing to trap and kill crab or other sea life.
Thanks for noticing.. I been having few issues with my electronics. I was doing my voice over at work where there are many people around and didn't want them to hear me lol. I am the boss but didn't want to speak too loud. I was also using my laptop and not my Samsung phone like usual. Working on getting things straight one by one. :)
Awedome shell treasures and mysterious discoveries! We all what to know what thise are.. hopeful dug up the lobster trap thank you for reasing and opening the doors!
Wow You truly have found a special treasure today. When you have a confirmation of what that gorgeous piece is I would love to know. All the comments say “Amber” and I am sure they are right but I am just so curious. Be safe & Thank you for another journey ⚓️⚓️⚓️
WOW that's a lot of mystery finds...cool! When I read your title I was like, "he found another megalodon!?!? 😍LOL That amber glassy thing was cool! I can't believe all the oysters in your videos--crazy how many. I'm sure it makes it so fun hunting all the shells in all of that ❤
I used to walk and never took my camera. Found lots of stuff but never did video. It helps now that I have Gopro instead of my Samsung S10+ .. That phone was very good to me but dropped it and it got ruined :( .. I used to video..edit and post with it took. On the Go.
@@inletboy I totally understand. There were SO many cool things at the beach when I first got interested in shelling and didn't record. Sometimes even now I just want to go and relax w/o taking anything w/me. take care!
Looks like you were walking on an ancient Native American shell Midden. Please let us know what you found out about the amber rocks. That really looks like something valuable.
Look up how to test for amber, i believe it involves heating a pin and seeing if it will melt into it and the smell. I dont know specifics off the top of my head.
🙋Hello from Ga. That tank is a propane tank for grills or whatever. If it has holes in it, it want blow up, which is a good thing. Stay safe and thanks for the adventure. Great shells. God bless
The smaller piece is beautiful and does look like amber. No clue for larger one, it’s flat on the bottom, you think it could be a piece of meteorite that fell from the sky?
Its called ambergris (not amber). It is whale vomit and is used to make perfume. It is very rare and VERY expensive. Look it up, worth a lot of money!! Amber that you see in jewelry comes from the sap of pine trees and is completely different.
I agree it looks like amber. another FABULOUS beach walk!
Thanks:)

We enjoy the nature and try our best to protect and respect it. Shelling is fun and never know what you find shelling.
😅😅
Awesome finds. Great video as usual.
Thanks buddy
I think it might be whale Vomit , and is rare if it is and worth a lot of money, I may be wrong but it does kinda look like one. WOW
That has a strong odor and he didn't mention a smell. So I wouldn't think so.
Beautiful shells
Thanks
@@inletboy you're welcome 🤗
Jackpot!!!!!
Could that be amber that you found? Very cool. Please let us know if you find out.

Thank you for watching my beach friend. :)
Is it ambergris? Did it smell weird? It is very high value in perfume industry.
Whale 💩! Big bucks

I'm often on Cape Cod, will look for angel wing shells now ❤ Our beaches don't have piles of shells, we have rocks.
You need to come south my friend. Thanks for watching.
It looks to me like amber 😃
Have to test it

I will try that. I did read that somewhere. Thanks
🙋Hello from Ga. That tank is a propane tank for grills or whatever. If it has holes in it, it want blow up, which is a good thing. Stay safe and thanks for the adventure. Great shells. God bless
It was same shape but had other things attached that I am not familiar with. Someday will dig it out. :)
Good man
Thanks
The tank is for an air-conditioned compressor
The smaller piece is beautiful and does look like amber. No clue for larger one, it’s flat on the bottom, you think it could be a piece of meteorite that fell from the sky?
Not sure.. I will examine it once is at home. Might pressure wash it to get the sand off of it.
You better go get your wagon!
Agree..
Looks like ambergris. If it is you are now very wealthy. It is spit out by whales and is used to make $$$$ perfume.
Fossilized dinosaur poop😂😅
Lol.. lol. That will be worth money now lol
Its called ambergris (not amber). It is whale vomit and is used to make perfume. It is very rare and VERY expensive. Look it up, worth a lot of money!! Amber that you see in jewelry comes from the sap of pine trees and is completely different.
It was not ambergris.
Duuuuude! You find so much ambergris if it were legal to sell you'd be sitting pretty!
Tell me about it.. :)
It is legal to sell. Perfume makers will buy it. It is made in the throat of a whale and is expelled by the whale$$$$$$$
It’s probably a fridge or freezer compressor motor
Looks like Amber, does it feel .ore like plastic than stone?
Is hard to feel but you can hit it and break a piece of off it. Not sure..
it looks like a propane tank for grills
It does but is not.. the bottom looks like stainless steel and the top has different gadgets. I will take gloves next time and will try to dig it out.
Yes it does look like Amber. Amber is worth money you know. They use it to make really expensive perfume.
Or ambergris.😊
Will have to check it.
Amber is fossilised tree sap worth money , use it for jewellery, im in the uk sometimes it washes up here but only after a storm ,
:).I been studying it. :)
Ambergris from a whale?
That second one kinda looks like a coptalight, but could also be amber.
Propane tank off a boat?
That is amber gris
Could be amber grass from a whale, could be worth a lot. Used in perfumes and such.
Is it wale amber griss?
Are those things Amber or whale puke if so are they not worth a lot of money?
Maybe a chunk of petroleum that has solidified over time.
Maybe a septaian carnelian
Somebody looking at it soon. :)
They are fossilized turtles.
