I think the reason why you got 2nd place music was because it's a very close finish.
@@obscurelad9847 Yeah he was actually second I saw the mini map and it said he was 2nd. But the reason why you and him might have been 1st is because of the hitboxes players have. Maybe it was just at the right angle to declare a tie between 1st but it wasn't fixed cause it was barely noticed and it didn't seem like there would ever be a close tie. Until 2 years ago lol.

Zackarie Andrews I managed to smuggle A blue shell and bullet bill into 1st in Mario kart 8 deluxe and I thought I was going to come 2nd but at the very last possible moment it said I came 1st and succeeded the blue-let bill combo item smuggle

The circuit at the 7:22 (idk the name in english, my game is in spanish) if you go up in the last "flying" section and go up the goal you can get to the cave and then land. I also don't know if that is a shortcut or not But I thought It could be useful to know nwn

I'm so glad I stopped playing MK7.
All of the heavy-using tryhards doing nothing but snaking down every straight-away just made me feel like I wasn't playing a racing game anymore.
It was like watching a bunch of MMO players take the optimum grinding routes no matter how tedious or boring those routes were to watch or play through, because of efficiency.
Of course, MK8 on Wii U got almost as bad with all of the Roy and Dry Bowser users cramming every single lobby.
Thankfully 8 Deluxe seems to have a lot more variety in the userbase's character choices, and taking out the snaking BS was an excellent decision for 8 in general.
