That’s why I no longer give to op shops and will just give to savers themselves as all stock goes out. They are screwing themselves in the long run. Wait for them to complain when savers gets into Brisbane
So long as you know that Savers is not a charity like StVinnies or whoever. They're a privately owned for profit corporation. Canadian owned if I'm not wrong.
@@mCblue79 with the current prices at salvos I’d barely say they are helping the poor. CEO also making millions. If those op shops are doing deals for others that’s enough for me to avoid them as that’s not right. My local savers gives money to diabetes Victoria so I’m ok with that.
Savers staff that receive donations call contacts when putting items on the floor too. It happens everywhere. Management also have arrangements for bulk purchase of certain goods that you’ll see never hit the floor.
Don't know if it helps you in anyway but good condition wii guitar hero controllers are converted with nunchuck adapters and used to play PC games like Clone Hero with the official guitar, it's all picked up massive traction again at the minute definitely a good item for ebay rather than local selling!
EBay is always #1. Every antique shop uses it to get the best prices. Brick and mortar gets their cash sales and customer walk in sales though. Benefits of both ☝️
I wish I had mens knowledge about tools and typically related high ticket price mens interests. I'm trying to up my knowledge. i sell on Ebay and at a good tourist Sunday market in Victoria. At the market men are always looking for something to buy for themselves.
Carrara junk markets is a joke, sellers sell for stupid prices cause cost so much to sell there so sellers put prices up Go to yatala car boot sale , 3rd Sunday of the month at yatala drive in

Savers is good, but they also do deals with resellers. It’s part of business 👍
@@DannyFlippingDealsno one I know has had a deal with savers. At least not in Melbourne. They also give 20% off cards to reinvest money

Would you keep the Michigan in your username if you moved to Detroit? Cheers 🍻
Markets are one of the most expensive ways to buy anything.
Depends on the day. Plenty of people use markets to get rid of unwanted items, vs to make money..

I don't know how they make a profit when a stall cost $90.
Most of the sellers there get their stock from their op shop contacts and the ones I know sell $2-5k a weekend

@@zoedorival Yatala is 100% better. Mt Gravat is also great!
@@DannyFlippingDeals I find Mt Gravett to clustered together and not much space,
People who have contacts at op shops are lucky but in the name of charity it should b fair to all , nothing is fair though I know 😂
You create your own luck! One QLD op shop staffer has shipping containers of stock at her own house that she sells to resellers☝️
@@DannyFlippingDeals nice sideline, might b worth volunteering at my local Vinniess if I can cream the premium stuff for myself 🤣
