Audit the internal employees in the EDD department. Someone knows something and are in it together hence why they received the info to acquire it smoothly. The crime ring is OBVIOUS!

Will Dill some of them used them on legal fees and other services to help them be released earlier. Most of them probably have the money waiting on them for whenever they’re released...all of them don’t have life sentences

That's what happens when a state celebrates criminals and treats them like royalty.
There's so many HOLES in this story... So you're saying that these checks are being deposited in inmates' "bank accounts"? Inmates have bank accounts? Then the reporter stated that these checks were "mailed" to addresses on the "outside" so which is it? Were they electronic bank deposits or were they checks? Also, how are the checks so hefty? There is a cap in each state as to how much you can collect in UI. For example, even if you earned a million dollars annually on a job or self-employment, you are only entitled to the state's max or cap for that state. Also, is there no verification process? Normally the state unemployment office verifies with the former employer whether or not the individual is even entitled to UI. For example, if they "quit" and were not "fired" then they would not be entitled, or if they never worked there, they wouldn't be entitled. For self-employed persons, there is still a verification process that the individual was self employed through filing tax returns. There is always a paper trail. This sounds like an "inside job" to me. 🤔

The State is really the Wild West of Bureaucracy and politics. Poor citizens questioning themselves "what did I do wrong".
It’s EDDs responsibility to insure shit like this doesn’t happen, and the solution shouldn’t be to freeze millions of claims in order to rectify the situation.

I know people who have waited 7 months since April who have not received one cent from EDD. They have been confirmed to be eligible but EDD is not providing access to certificating dates for benefits and no one is answering the phones. It’s absolutely ridiculous! The entire EDD system should be completely replaced with new system and new management.
it's impossible, because Inmates doesn't have any access to the regular bank's account, credit/debit card or any other legal tenders. incoming mails are opened for inspections before they handing to the inmates. any missing part of the addressee likes " Washington Correctional Facility " inmate's #, Inmate's housing unit etc....
Edd should be invested that sounds like a inside job

It takes hours upon hours to file for unemployment benefits. You need all your correct documents, have access to their website, get verified online by a third-party.

If you guys didn't have a screwed-up system and making people struggle people would have to do things like that so sometimes you have to work the system and you guys allowed to happen maybe to divide people but don't do nothing about it and you keep on screwing decent people it says a lot about you guys right

it won't anything good to lock fraudsters up longer. The murderer is already doing Life- can't add more to that sentence. How about instead if we get rid of all this computer applying? Go back to in person interview application process. Stop letting the super rich spend so much money on themselves (I'm looking at U Kylie Kardashian!!!) & force them as is done in Norway, etc to pay for all the extra EDD workers we need to get the job done instead.
