We always look forward to your visits - keep coming aboard with us!!! Thank you for everything you have helped us out with - we would not have made it this far without you!!
I just found this site and watched as many of your fantastic and beautiful videos as was possible in a short afternoon. you've reconnected me to the dreams of my youth which are still very much of who I am. Thank you!!!
Great video!! That weather is so crazy! Stay safe. Above freezing will feel like a heat wave when it warms up. Your videos make me laugh, appreciate the beautiful scenery and bite my nails. Lol. Love you guys!
Amazing scenery, thank you for sharing ❤ Can you please tell me what month was it.. does the water freeze to the point you can dock to marinas during winter?
Fantastic footage and music on this one - I'm so impressed with the adventurous nature you both have. I'm curious why the fishing plant wasn't considered 'safe'? I cook from your cookbook all the time, so I missed the cooking segment on this one. Looking forward to more! Also, I love the outtake at the end - you two are adorable and so sweet.
Thank you!!! Ha! The fish plant had a couple issues - One: it is in pretty bad shape from years of neglected upkeep (the plant has been shut down for quite some time) so there are multiple missing timbers along the wharf, but the massive bolts/pegs that used to hold the timbers are still attached to the timbers behind the missing ones. That meant, without adequate protection fending us off the wharf those pegs/bolts could do serious damage to the hull if we were to have hit them. I spent 3x the amount of time that day trying to get Hakluyt situated on the dock than we did sailing from Ramea and still wasn't super happy. Two: there was a serious incoming storm with 50+ knots of gusts and it had a south easterly component and the wharf was facing an easterly bay. We were told it would be ok there by several sources but the Coast guard - a couple hundred yards away on the more protected side of the bay - offered for us to tie up at their dock. We took their offer and we were super glad we did as the height of the storm hit at high tide and the waves were crashing over the top of the fish plant wharf - it would have been a rough night had we stayed!! We are experimenting with doing separate videos for the recipes and share those in a different format or medium. If we get more requests for the recipes then TH-cam will hear that and we will look to putting them back in!
Love this segment. We lived in Francois for a time and also sailed the South Coast of Newfoundland. But never in winter. Brave souls safe travels.
Thank you!
Thank you for video 👏

It was lovely to visit Hakluyt in Burgeo and awesome to visit with Wes and Judith and the puppies. You all are fantastic - what an adventure.

Thanks Mark!! Much appreciated! Hope you are well!
Wow, very beautiful sailing and towns. I hope you have great sailing memories.
Gros Morne is spectacular as a maritimer I was impressed though rough sailing and keep a eye out for blue whales.
We hope to get to Gros Morne this summer! Can't wait!
My old stomping grounds!

Super cool but you guys have to go to rencontre East.. its the most amazing remote town on the south coast!
Thanks for the tip!! We just might go and check it out!! Cheers!
Let me know if you guys are coming to Norris Point, Bonne Bay in Gros Morne National!!! Safe travel
We will do! If you see us heading that way - which is very likely in a few months - reach out again!
How thick is the hull

I would rather listen wind noise than some silly music.
