1:03 But doesn't doing the vocal harmonies on the pc like that removes the depth effect that a doubled track recording would give? Isn't always better to record these harmonies aside from the main track?
After you edit the lead vocal notes to become harmonies, its no longer is “the same audio” and doesn’t cause that unwanted phaser effect like you’re thinking. You can even offset the timing to further emulate a “layered vocal”effect.

Are you using OBS to record your tutorials? And how are you getting DAW audio into the software to be able to demonstrate recording in pro tools? I’d like to record my sessions so I could post content vids later. Been having trouble, hope you can give some insight.
I record my Mac screen with ScreenFlow. I record my DAW audio using the “digital loopback channel” feature in the Apollo x8. Logic is running in the background recording my mic & ProTools DAW audio

Prism has better sound quality and converters but no special features or DSP FX to play with in the app
I have a little problem with this autotune. When I save a project and exit the program it doesn't save the manually set pitch and when I go back to the project again I have to set it. I don't know if I am doing something wrong but I don't understand how it works. Any advice on this ?
are you using pro x in this course?
No, this course uses the previous version of Autotune Pro because we often find Graph Mode looks/works better in the older version

Is it possible to do something relatively similar using garage band? I’ve been struggling for a while and would like to try music production for a bit before dropping cash on a new daw, expensive plug-ins, and courses.
Garage band doesn’t do this. However Logic has built-in a knockoff called Flex Pitch

Only AutoTune Pro offers this important feature for manual pitch correction. The rest of the versions don’t
Unfortunately, there's no other software that can give you that sound. Waves tune is too "artifacty". Plus if you've got ARA in your DAW like Studio one, Autotune is as good as Melodyne. I can close my eyes and use both but for pop or modern music I'd choose Autotune Pro.
