for anyone wondering, this is the worst answer. you should go onto qualifying questions "how often do you use a pen" "would you be able to do your work without a pen" "what would a day at work look like for you if you had absolutely no access yo a pen"
Thats not even a good way. Maybe they don't use pens most days.
The best way has to be simple. Like asking "how much would you pay for this pen? "

I used to get asked the dumb question all the time in interviews and it was the only answer they wanted to hear. Smart, witty, funny and still effective. Literally everything someone wants from a salesperson

I was almost embarrassed in a business meeting.
So there is this meeting I was representing my company on and as the only representative I had to take down minutes. Before going for the business meeting I had made sure I was fully prepared, I had taken my minutes book and my new pen that was gifted to me by my boss.
Halfway through the meeting my pen started cracking, I didn't know if it was the pen or that I was writing with too much force and I couldn't excuse myself self in the middle of a meeting ,since I would be interrupting
We were also not allowed to come in to the meeting room with our phones, I could have just recorded and write down later. At my lowest point , I saw a little piece of paper on the pen and decided to see what it was, to my greatest surprise it had directions on how to use it
Apparently the pen has different compartments and each had its own functions,so I was using it wrongly all along.
WP digital pen has different parts for different ways of writing.
It has the function for left handed people
It also has the one for fast writers , slow writers and also for relaxed writing , each compartments are very great for their different functions.

One more thing nowadays interviewers are smart they give you a normal pen less than a dollar price so what to do I always say I see you are a higher authority in this company right so suppose you are in a meeting with a client (high ticket) so you have a fountain pen too (expensive one) so you took that to sign but the ink got over if at that time you took out a ordinary pen from your suit Or anywhere and sign it's shows he/she is prepared for worst conditions too so yeah we can have a trust regarding this project so this way you can sell a ordinary pen to an extraordinary man too

Sir, i assure you that people don't buy these pens for the pretty ink, they buy it to be imponent. Grandma's good ol' golden ashtray, Uncle's pretty Rolex and Daddy's trusty steel pen that used for paying taxes and that let nobody touch it, let alone keep it out of it's box! I got my Dad's steel pen right here.

The seller's dialogue being longer than the buyers is because, when selling something, you must have tongue, be quick, talk clearly and try to "relate" to the buyers life at some point either by memories like the seller or by a cheap price. In this case the seller sold 2 pens without the buyer thinking about spending 12 bucks for pretty pens.
