- - Hey folk! Happy Friday! We had a trip to go down south and to visit Adelman peony farm in last week, what a gorgeous garden and field! If someone is considering to make a trip there for peony season, please do it now, because this is peony prime time! They have a lot of beautiful peonies including herbaceous, itoh and woody (tree) peonies. This video is just part 1-in their display garden, I will have part 2 coming for peonies in the field. Hope everyone likes it. Thanks for your watching and support! Cheers!

Can you give me the address of this farm , please

They're all so beautiful, but way too expensive!! Ridiculous!
I understand what you are saying, but keep in mind that, in order to sell a new peony, they need about 15-20 years to grow from seeds, it is including the processes to germinate the seeds, and wait for 3-5 years for their first blooming, from there, they will choose the best ones (5-10) between hundreds of seedlings. After that, they will wait for the other 2 years for first dividing from the only root, in order to have couple hundred roots from only original root they need about another 5-10 years to propagate. That’s why the first batch is usually very expensive due to labor and time consuming. For some varieties such as Pastelegance, Sunny boy, Lois Choice… are still very expensive after long time they were introduced in the market, because they are difficult to propagate and high demand as I know. If you don’t want to buy newer peonies because of high price, there are still have a lot of cheap one but very beautiful such as Sarah Bernhardt, Red Charm, Coral Charm, Bowl of Beauty, Kansas, Mother’s Choice, Elsa Sach, Bartzella….hope this answers your wondering!
Thank you for taking the time to answer this. @@smallbackyardfun
@@madelinerivera7445 it’s my pleasure!
And, I might add, one can fairly easily turn one, four year old peony into five or six divisions. Repeat again in five years and you will have 25-30 divisions. So, not such a bad investment…
