I love the way he's absorbed in the music and his dreamy look after listening to Lifelines. Great song- really touching and deep. Nice to hear Morten talking about Norway. What a beautiful country and the shots of Norway's landscape just make the video for Lifelines perfect.
Did u know he was bullied at school, from the age of 7- 8? He was different. Verbally he expressed himself differently than the other children. Playing, he made up things in such a way that the other children thought he meant it had actually happened (I´m not an expert in Norwegian, so forgive me if I ´m not 100 % correct) so of course they called him a liar. - But even though he went through hell, and was so young, he knew he would come out of it stronger. I´m impressed! :)
Well, it´s quite obvious he does get embarrassed. In later interviews I´ve also noticed a certain frustration or irritation, ever so subtle, over interviewers always talking about his good looks. I understand him! There´s a lot more to him than good looks! He´s obviously a humble man, AND in later songs, I think in Norwegian (don´t remember) he sings about peace and the state of the world. I´ve also read somewhere that he´s really good at painting. :)
I imagine some of the frustration is not necessarily that they concentrate on the looks but that he is constantly being asked about how he feels about it. That and the constant questions about Take on Me. That frustrates ME, I can imagine how he feels about it. I mean, the European/British in this case Media and community have known about them all these years, they have released all their music there, have performed tons of concerts and yet they are still asked about their first song. The crazy thing is, that when he went to the Billboard Music Awards in 2013 and surprised the audience by singing part of Take on Me (it was sampled in a Pitbull/Christina Aguilera song) He was there BECAUSE of Take on Me. But at least the (I'm assuming mostly US) reporters backstage in the press room where they sent him after the performance were asking him other things, What is he doing now? What does he think about the music industry today?, Has he seen any promising new artists lately? That was probably refreshing for him.

I've just read his autobiography. It actually happened between age 8 and 13.
