I never get tired of listening to you ramble on. As you were painting I could see your new technical skills shine through before you pointed them out, specifically with the lighting & texture. Stunning! And that’s not to say your other works are less stunning, I love this new piece, and all the new details in your style. But I also still love the older works and the exaggerated anatomy & ambient lighting. Loved this piece and am happy for you attending art school and being able to grow faster and see so much progress. i’ve always admired your art and loved the spontaneity of your older pieces though, but artists themselves see their own work through a different lens than others. Sadly not everyone has the option to attend art school and will just have to do our best being self-taugh :)
I used to watch you in a time when I found mostly strictly realistic or too abstract pieces, you were (for me) a breath of fresh, eerie, surealistic but technical air!! I came back to your channel after a long time after a sudden unexplained urge. I met with this piece. Wow! Now that I have grown and you have grown, I can safely say I love the new direction and style. The layers are charming, the realism in such a surealistic theme give the mind a puzzle to solve, the lighting and all the shades and shapes that come with it, are just delicious. My favorite so far!
Dang girl. The expertise here is apparent, and it is just stunning. The level of color effects on the butterflies, the pink wisps behind their trails, are just breathtaking. I haven't obviously seen this piece in person, but it looks here like the portrait isn't the focal point. The tree details and movement of the moths/butterflies just grabs the attention. It's really refreshing in your style.
Wow! I see all the changes you mentioned. This may be one of your best pieces. But I think that with each new piece you make! I can't imagine what beauty you will create in 30 years. Brava!

Hello, you are very talented. Tell me, do your pets interfere with your painting? I just have 2 cats and a lot of cat hair. Usually, any dust particles and wool stick very strongly to crude oil. Do you keep them out of the room or how do you solve this problem?)

Thanks for the great question - I definitely won't be creating more "serious" pieces (or any pieces that are purely academic/realistic in nature) outside of practicing/doing studies to help learn the skills. For my personal work, I will always stick to my old style and I still love to create more fantasy style pieces! Though I will be open to seeing how my style is able to evolve and grow over time with age and me entering new seasons of life. But no matter what, I don't see myself ever abandoning the fantasy imaginative art because I'm just so in love with its limitless potential 🥰
What a gorgeous piece! I'm curious, did you start out with the intention that the shape/outline would look like the brain with brain stem? Or was that just a happy accident? Either way, it's beautiful.

I also didn't realize until the final stages how much the tree resembled a brain 🧠 I didn't intend on it, it was definitely a happy accident that emerged during my attempt to render the leaves in a way that seemed natural but also part-leaf-part-nebula hybrid. It's a good example of when art can start to take on a life of its own and essentially start "painting itself" 😉
