I keep rewatching this many times, the more it gets endearing and pleasurable to watch. I love how they closely focuses on the athletes faces, how they take time for the entry march of all nations athletes. It must not be the greatest or largest venue for it is done in an indoor arena setting, but it plays well on making close contact with performers, audience, athletes and the rest. This opening did not use advance technical aesthetics, they use it moderately, and instead focuses on people and highly engage them on the ceremony - both performers, athletes, and expectators played their part well in this opening. Even if you just watch in your small phone screen through youtube, as if you become part of it. It is different from other opening ceremony, that you mainly feast with your eyes on the production effects but not as experiencing it. What an experience watching this! Thank you Philippines, thank you all SEA Nations, here we see and feel we are of one origin - true brothers!

They chose the venue really well! I was there before and it was soooo cold and you can clearly see the stage wherever you are seated. The lights were also so beautiful from the stage when the phones' lights of the audience are on.

After Brunei Darussalam withdrawal of its hosting for 2019 SEA GAMES, the SEA Games organizer decided and passed on to the Philippines the hosting. This is the shortest preparation for a host country in the history of International games competition but still able to build a 20,000 seating capacity Stadium, a world class swimming and diving pool and a sports athletes village. Remember it took less than a year for the PHILIPPINES for the preparation. The opening venue was the largest indoor Arena in the world, the schedule of its opening already predicted to have a rainy weather. So the organizer decided to place it in the close/indoor arena - The Philippine Arena with a seating capacity of 55,000
Right!! Kaya andaming fake news and photos circulated online na hindi pa daw prepared ang PH for the hosting. Usually preparations for this event lasts 3 to 5 years! But PH still did a great job finishing the Facilities and hosted the event organized and left foreign delegates a positive feedback! Malaking sampal to sa mga haters ng DU30 admin.

Kahit yong 2011 sea games sa Indonesia, angat din ang technology, at more on bird's eye view. Yong sa atin mas focused sa pag showcase ng talent kung ano talaga ginagawa ng mga performers. Pero kung sinamahan ng kunting high-tech na part yong sa atin, kabug yong mga naunang host sa overall.
Yun naman talaga ang advantage natin mga Pinoy, pag magperform tayo laging galing sa puso, hindi natin sya dinadaan sa pa high tech, kahit alam natin kaya din natin yun.

I flew from Davao to Manila just to watch my friend Keilah Rodriguez competing for Obstacle Course Race. I did not expect this Opening Ceremony right in front of my face, after hours of waiting, could be an event thats so heartwarming, exciting, vibrant, fun, thrilling & most of all proud moment for athletes who were able to join and of course the Filipinos who are watching showcasing our homegrown talents and how we are just so accommodating & appreciative of other countries. This is purely an event of human race, of sportsmanship and glory of athletes and the country they represent. Thanks to the Organizers and Govt of the Philippines for accepting this challenge to hold SEAGAMES 2019 just months before the Covid19 caused the Pandemic. Looking forward to another sports events in the near future. Mabuhay!

I keep rewatching this many times, the more it gets endearing and pleasurable to watch. I love how they closely focuses on the athletes faces, how they take time for the entry march of all nations athletes. It must not be the greatest or largest venue for it is done in an indoor arena setting, but it plays well on making close contact with performers, audience, athletes and the rest. This opening did not use advance technical aesthetics, they use it moderately, and instead focuses on people and highly engage them on the ceremony - both performers, athletes, and expectators played their part well in this opening. Even if you just watch in your small phone screen through youtube, as if you become part of it. It is different from other opening ceremony, that you mainly feast with your eyes on the production effects but not as experiencing it. What an experience watching this! Thank you Philippines, thank you all SEA Nations, here we see and feel we are of one origin - true brothers!

They chose the venue really well! I was there before and it was soooo cold and you can clearly see the stage wherever you are seated. The lights were also so beautiful from the stage when the phones' lights of the audience are on.

After Brunei Darussalam withdrawal of its hosting for 2019 SEA GAMES, the SEA Games organizer decided and passed on to the Philippines the hosting. This is the shortest preparation for a host country in the history of International games competition but still able to build a 20,000 seating capacity Stadium, a world class swimming and diving pool and a sports athletes village. Remember it took less than a year for the PHILIPPINES for the preparation. The opening venue was the largest indoor Arena in the world, the schedule of its opening already predicted to have a rainy weather. So the organizer decided to place it in the close/indoor arena - The Philippine Arena with a seating capacity of 55,000
Right!! Kaya andaming fake news and photos circulated online na hindi pa daw prepared ang PH for the hosting. Usually preparations for this event lasts 3 to 5 years! But PH still did a great job finishing the Facilities and hosted the event organized and left foreign delegates a positive feedback! Malaking sampal to sa mga haters ng DU30 admin.
Ang hilig kasi mag self-deprecate ng Pinoy. Ung tingin natin wala na tayong magagawang tama. Kaya sa PH Arena hi-neld kasi inisip din na bagyo season na nagkaron nga.

Kahit yong 2011 sea games sa Indonesia, angat din ang technology, at more on bird's eye view. Yong sa atin mas focused sa pag showcase ng talent kung ano talaga ginagawa ng mga performers. Pero kung sinamahan ng kunting high-tech na part yong sa atin, kabug yong mga naunang host sa overall.
Yun naman talaga ang advantage natin mga Pinoy, pag magperform tayo laging galing sa puso, hindi natin sya dinadaan sa pa high tech, kahit alam natin kaya din natin yun.

I flew from Davao to Manila just to watch my friend Keilah Rodriguez competing for Obstacle Course Race. I did not expect this Opening Ceremony right in front of my face, after hours of waiting, could be an event thats so heartwarming, exciting, vibrant, fun, thrilling & most of all proud moment for athletes who were able to join and of course the Filipinos who are watching showcasing our homegrown talents and how we are just so accommodating & appreciative of other countries. This is purely an event of human race, of sportsmanship and glory of athletes and the country they represent. Thanks to the Organizers and Govt of the Philippines for accepting this challenge to hold SEAGAMES 2019 just months before the Covid19 caused the Pandemic. Looking forward to another sports events in the near future. Mabuhay!
