My hegner has the same benefit for bottom feeding. The clamp and blade pop in and out readily, Making bottom feeding very rapid and easy. My problem with spirals is getting the blade to seat in the top clamp (hegner quick clamp). I have to twist the blade so that the top and bottom tips are in the same plane. If not the blade pops out as I tighten down. Very frustrating and time consuming. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
I don't use anything specific for blade lubrication but I do change the blades pretty frequently. I can't recall exactly how many I used on this project but I imagine it could have been 5-10.

I know what you mean about twisting the blade to get it set right. It usually works out easier after the first few clamps.
