I remember seeing her in an interview on tv, in 2010, when I was visiting family in France. She was saying how lucky she was to be the mother of his children and how she couldn't wait til he came home from filming because she missed him every second he was away.She said he was a gem.

The way it ended was so sad 😢 I have a lot of respect for him and the way he's been so open and honest about his problems with alcohol. The saddest thing is that he fell for a lie that others had seen through, and strayed from a loving relationship and family. As he says, a lot of people have been hurt by this; but the pain started years ago. 😢 Sadly, he ended up realizing he was in a very toxic and dysfunctional relationship far too late, and he paid for his choice in a huge way!
I'm so very glad he looks so good again! He was looking pretty tough for a number of years, but getting away from AH has freed him up to be happy and healthy again! And I swear, he really aged with her, but whatever he's been doing this past year, it looks great on him!! He looks 10 yrs younger!! And I've been comparing his photos over the past 10 yrs, and he looks so good right now, his eyes are clear, his eyes are smiling, and he looks almost like he did pre-AH! Unfortunately, that's what narristist do when you're in a relationship, I know this from experience. Narristist suck the life out of you, they strip your soul, they are literally exhausting. That's what aged him. Narristist main goal is to unlive you and I believe Johnny was on the verge. It broke my heart to hear him say on the stand that he was "broken ". Yes, I am thrilled that he's getting his life back. So happy to hear that him and Vanessa are still good friends. ❤

Vanessa was the best that could ever happened to him.But than Amber came, young, sexy, beautiful ( yes, she is beautiful), and Johnny? Johnny is a man, how could a man not fell in love with Amber? But a grown, emotionally and mentally mature, self-aware man who knows what real love and real relationships are wouldn't take a second look. Vanessa was the best thing that ever happened to him. He fucked up when he went off track with a barely adult women predator, simply for childish lust.

This just shows you the legacy of an abusive home & parent/guardian. He had many long-term relationships that were healthy with good stable women. And yet when he finally does marry someone, she’s his mother all over again. Despite all his growth & learning about life & himself, being with an abusive irrational drug-addicted woman felt normal for him. Now his whole private life is being exposed & ripped to shreds by a few people in the world who think that anyone who uses swear words, or drinks a hell of a lot, is automatically a total shyte, or physically abusive. JD has always sworn. I love my man of 23 years dearly, but there are of course times, when I get frustrated about him, and chat to my close friend, and I've dropped the F bomb, when referring to him, but I most certainly do not love him less. You have to understand another person's way of talking. I've heard men say to each other, " You stupid/crazy c*/f* to each other without major anger issues, or refer to another person in the same way, and still like/love them very, very much.

This also is indicative of how childhood trauma can effect you for your entire life. Why was it so important for JD to have his Mother’s acceptance, after she was SO abusive to he and his siblings, both mentally and physically ? His Sister’s testimony at the defamation trial was heartbreaking. It’s not surprising that the Mother tried to come between he and Vanessa (arguably, VP was the best thing to ever happen to JD). Johnny even said that he woke up, not long after marrying Heard, to the realization that he had married his Mother (ie: a sociopathic abuser). Really Sad - and knowing how fiercely private JD is, I’m sure Heard is enjoying every second of him having to discuss his life in Court. I hope he wins his case, and can spend some quiet time with his kids and recharging.
It is sad..it's like a Stockholm syndrome type trauma bond where you unconsciously feel inferior to your abuser and believe that if you please them then maybe they might accept you or treat you better.
Is is because in trauma bond, acceptance from the abuser it means to be somehow lovable and not damaged...😔.

This actually reminds me a lot of my ex-boyfriend. He came from a horrible abusive childhood and his mother had a lot of control over him and still does at the age of 61. I feel like he and I were soul mates and we had a wonderful love affair that lasted over a year but, his trauma bonding with his estranged wife ruined our relationship. She was very abusive but, it reminded him of HIS mother. This reminds me of the hold that Amber Heard has over Johnny Depp. It is all very tragic and sad.

She cannot sing!!! She never would have made it big in the USA with the little singing talent that she has, IMO. Her tone is interesting, but she can't hit all the notes on pitch and that's what makes her not a great singer. Maybe a parlor singer, but not of a professional level.

I believe what kept them together so long was that she let Johnny be Johnny! She had her own career her own interests and a life outside of her relationship. It healthy to have interests independent of your partner. It makes you appreciate each other that much more and you get to really be friends! That is honesty the glue that keeps the love there! Sexual attraction is powerful and people build a relationship on that without ever knowing who their partner truly is! It’s unhealthy to only want to do the same things together and have no friends or interests, passions, dreams other than your partner. In this case I think Vanessa didn’t try and keep tabs on Johnny all the time and instead of worrying about what he was doing or where he was who he was talking to, she had her own life! She appreciated him and supported him emotionally when he truly needed it and that’s more important than just satisfying him in the bedroom! The truth is, Vanessa put her life on hold to enable Depp to keep his career going. She said in one interview that they had problems right from the start. It's clear from this article that Depp was abusing substances. I think he used the situation with his mother as an excuse for not going out to France to be with Vanessa. It's actually Vanessa who left Depp, taking the 2 children with her. She said she didn't want to discuss what happened so I'm pretty sure he was being violent and abusive. She left him because he was targeting his next victim, Amber. I don't know how some people have got it all upside down, but Depp is the perpetrator. He's manipulated people into seeing things from his deluded perspective. He's a narcissist who always had to have the younger, more beautiful woman. Vanessa was okay up until she wanted to luck start her career. I imagine he went into a rage more than once which is why age decided to leave him and return to France. She got married and is very happy, her career is flying. She was invisible whilst she was entrapped with Depp. I think she has a lovely, emotion filled voice, and that special French, rasping quality. She's lovely and deserves some real happiness now.
