@@helloman3676 but that is how Leslie tells a story. No clear pacing but still interesting. Her documentary is on point and sounded genuine imo.
The editing also showed symbols. First frame is California where she grew up, last frame is a plane, symbolizes her now achieving new heights. The storytelling is very fuslie and the clips implied that this is a story of a streamer.
Very nice video and I enjoyed it.

I found you in the Among us era, while Covid was at its worst and I developed social anxiety. I found a safe place with you and a place where I could cry from laughter. Then came GTA and I was stunned! It felt like you gained confidence and while it might be weird, it also gave me more confidence to start being more social again. Then I birthed my daughter and I was finally able to watch your streams live while breastfeeding in the middle of the night (I live in Europe) and I loved it. You are truly such an inspiration. I've never found a streamer or influencer that gives so many people so much confidence, joy and in some kind of weird way, friendship. Just keep being you!

If Leslie “retired” from streaming today, I can confidently say she truly left the “streaming world” a better place than how she found it. ❤

I really loved hearing your story for the first time Leslie. Hearing about how you just embraced whatever was in front of you is inspiring me to change my perspective on what’s in front of me. I’m back in school to finish my undergrad that I was doing 5 years ago and I often feel stuck in my degree because I don’t know what else I’d want to do. That’s a partial lie because I like math and science, but I hate having to study so much, mainly because I have so much trouble managing my ADHD.
Before hearing your story, I only really knew of you from watching Disguised Toast’s videos of Among Us, but I loved getting to see a part of who you really are. It’s so cool and enriching to be reminded that streamers and content creators are people too, not just the persona they put online. And, that pressure to keep going with no break is too real. Thanks for sharing your story with us, Leslie!! I think that if you keep being yourself, everything’s going to end up okay.

But i will say that, for me, Leslie has always been the brightest one that stood out the most to me. Its her warm personality. He relatable self and stories. She embodies the title given to her as the best community streamer, because she truly feels like the glue. Sounds like Leslie did become a teacher after all. With streamer camp and just her being so kind and positive, she teaches and inspires smaller streamers and non streamers to a live better life.
And the part where Leslie was talking about she thinks she gets viewers because of who she streams with or associates with...man that broke my heart because I watch her because of her, just her and content. Ryan Higa said it perfectly, whatever she does, we are here for her and her personality. Of course the collabs are a bonus and wonderful. Her banter with other streamers is top tier, chef's kiss.

Dear Leslie, I just felt the need to say thank you so much. The last 3 minutes of your video were words I didn't know I needed to hear.
It was the first time anyone has validated my feelings and I cried so much. I became a nurse (family expectations) and have been one for 8 years, but always felt that deep down it was not something for me and I've been quite unhappy. I finally mustered up the courage to go back to school to pursue something I want, something I think could make me happier. What held me back for so long was the thought of all that suffering of school and work, people questioning why I would want to give up so much time that I spent, etc. It really made me doubt myself, but thanks to you I feel more confident than ever that I'm doing the right thing by putting myself first.
So thank you, I'm eternally grateful. You are amazing and please never stop being you!

Sometimes you do think about how you miss the small community vibe that Leslie used to have because even then she really took the time to show that she cared and that she recognised her community as actual people, but watching this really just reminds you of how Leslie has also always been, in my opinion, truly fated to be one of The Big Streamer names out there. You can't hate how much success Leslie has gotten because she just truly and honestly deserves every bit of it and I am so happy for her and so excited to keep seeing her success. I just hope that if she does feel the need to take a break, that she knows she can do it, because she has laid such a good foundation for her career that no matter what, she never will "fall off". The Leslers are here to stay. Like Ryan said, we're here for Leslie regardless of what she plays or streams. Congratulations on everything, Leslie. Ever onwards and upwards c:

I've been crying since the part where your friend introduced you to league. as a young woman of color, 23, in college, (almost went to Irvine lol), this video means a lot to me. You inspire me every day to simply stream no matter who's watching or saying negative things about it. I'm sure you remember how it was when people in and outside of college tried to let your major define who you are, with you knowing you were so much more than the expectations placed onto you since you were a kid. I know what I want my career to be, in the theater. Nowadays there are actors streaming now, movie stars, doctors, scientists, etc. If I, a theater and film major, want to continue to stream and connect with people online, I am going to do just that. You just helped me realize that a bit better. Seriously, I can't thank you enough Leslie for opening up like this. I love you, praying for you and sending you hugs and wishing you nothing but the best and blessings all year round and so on.

I'm curious how competitive is Irvine (I'm not from US so Idk) and hope your streaming is doing good. And there is a surge of different people from walks of life being a streamer or influencer. There's Doctor Mike on yt and other platforms. There's also Bryan Dechart and his wife Amelia streaming on Twitch. They're actors. Their most famous gig recently is a game called Detroit: Become Human. Entertaining couple.

I love Dr Mike! Next time in in NY I hope to attend one of his speeches or something. I did not know he gamed??? That's awesome. If he just streams other content like talking or something else then thats awesome too.
I've heard of the actors and now realize I'm familiar with their work. Motion capture is something I hope to get into. If I don't get an acting role, I'd probably be handling the props and set pieces or something.

Oh, really? That's cool. He's honestly pretty cool it seems. Yeah, he did game. His first stream was alone with a techy friend of his and he played a David Cage game as well. Heavy Rain. Then he played multiple walkthroughs of Detroit and mentions his experience as an actor. He also gives giveaways a lot since he receives stuff. He also has merch so he also gives those away. And he streams a lot of games too. Not just Detroit or David Cage stuff. He also has had guests in his streams like in his The Walking Dead Streams, he brought in Clementine's voice actress as well as Katja's who voices other roles in the TWD universe. His streams with his wife (some like at the beginning they were fiances, he even has some stuff from their wedding if you're interested) are wholesome and great. He usually plays choice based games but he has played other story based games
Ohhh. Haha XD yes. Detroit. You should check out his vods of the walkthroughs. They stream on Twitch and post vods in yt. Their Twitch used to be just Bryan Dechart but now it's Dechart Games. You can really see the growth.

I think what’s really important here is the fact that streamers and content creation have a life outside of their job and it matters and impacts their job and the content we watch

This was so well made. Truly portrayed so many amazing moments. I always wonder how Leslie and early community felt of the boom because the core community and familiar faces/name feels so comfy but reminiscing old times plus going with the flow is best. And people like me genuinely are so thankful that we found your stream later. Thanks for amazing streams and this community is truly the best one can be a part of

normally i would have avoided bigger streamers and communities bc of that exact feeling of getting lost in the shuffle and losing the community energy. but something about you stood out and i'm so glad i decided to look more into that bc you are an actual legend. to hear this full story was a whirlwind but i was so invested in learning about how such a wonderful light found her way into so many people's lives. you deserve all the positivity and all the outpouring of support and all the success in the world. thank you for taking so many chances and making all these moves to end up right here today. the world needs people like you leslie

I'm crying buckets at 11:30 in the morning and it's not even lunch yet. I'm glad I watched this video now and not 10 minutes before my actual class because my professor would have probably messaged me, asking me if I was okay and why I had red, swollen eyes.
I already knew that I would tear up upon watching this but I didn't expect to straight out bawl. I found out about you a couple of months ago and although it only has been a couple of months, I feel like I watched you for years. You're constant storytelling and genuine desire to make connections with people is really something special. You truly have touched alot of humans and made your own little world where everyone finds genuine peace. Thank you Leslie and I hope you have a good rest of your day 💚

The end message has me in tears. I’m in my second year ( out of 3 years)of college ( 3D modelling) and I’m so anxious and nervous about life after school. I try to actively network/ make friendships and try to seek opportunities out but it’s so exhausting and the constant fear of “not being enough” is always there. I’m never proud of my work or performance in anything so just hearing that “ you don’t need to commit your life to a decision just because you spent x number of years in school for it” really helped me finally put some stuff into perspective. Really enjoyed the documentary style video and love ur content

And just watching this made soooo emotional just listen to your come up and things I could relate to. Just an awesome video and congrats to yours mods that made it 👍🏽

As someone who got to meet Leslie through Vikki from a College event where her, edison and sushidragon had a panel, she's wonderful and honestly just someone whose great to chat with im so happy to see her continue to grow and do bigger and better things every year. I cherish that event at UCSD as well as the chat we had afterwards and the pictures I got to take with you guys

Leslie always gave off such a good vibe. Even when I didn’t follow her, coming across her content felt like a breath of fresh air. Gucci Fuslie felt the same as “guitar” Fuslie. You can’t say that about just any streamer. Leslie is one of the most down to earth and humble content creators out there. In a sea of chatters and eyes looking at her, she still somehow managed to make her streams feel warm, intimate and cozy. After all these years, I’m glad she’s getting not only the recognition she deserves but that she has found something she enjoys doing, and from the looks of it, she has amazing people around her who continue to challenge and support her beyond business. I’m more of a lurker / supporter from afar but I’m proud to say “That’s my streamer!” (even though she doesn’t shower…)

I started crying at the end because I think there's also many people who could misunderstand you. And i totally get why you got the thoughts where you'd collab with others and wonder if people watch you because of you, or because of someone else your collabing with. I think thinking this way, you can't help it. But the way I see it, the roomies and other people you play games with often, you're all a package deal. Like you said, sometimes the most memorable moments are the social interactions you have with others. You have your own qualities Leslie, and I think those qualities is what make people stay. No matter with whom or what game you're playing. You're pretty amazing, don't let any hater tell you otherwise. Because like everyone else would probably say, they're just f***ing jealous. oi oi

we LOVE you Leslie. This documentary really made me realize some important things in life. Remember guys that your life is YOUR own journey and that things won’t go exactly how you planned but that doesn’t mean time was wasted for nothing. Yes, it might feel like the end of the world but once you realize it’s not.. you will feel a sense relief. I feel like everything you accomplished/ fail is just a part of your story being built into place for success in the future.
    stay safe y’all

Got me crying in the cubicle! Such an inspiring video to watch and many people should see. That feeling if going to college and working to so hard and having no idea what the world has in store for you is such a real and widespread feeling that so many of us go through and it’s so refreshing to be reminded that we can do whatever we set our minds to and failure and change should be praised because at the end of the day you tried!

I saw your early streams 10 years ago. I am not surprised you made it big. The algorithm brought me here 10 years later. This video was a really good but it made me kind of sad. Found you thru Rae's streams during the Among Us era back during peak COVID. I moved to Boston early last year (2022) for my first real job after college and it was scary/lonely at times.
