Yeah they are privileged, nothing new though. Vegas is nothing, if they want they would even be able to have an ad-hoc vacation in Japan or Philippines. But just because they can doesn't mean they are bad people. After all, its not like they are avoiding paying taxes or something. Beyond that nothing much under their control other than their own lives.

I have a relative based in LA as well who reacted similarly to the streamers because they have a work from home job and also have relatives elsewhere ready to support them if need be

They are literally far from the fire. A lot of evacuation centers are even near them. The fact that one hour later those celebs house got burned means it is not far. After a while they received a notification that there was a mistake on the text
it was a error in the emergency alert system. sent to pretty much of all of la county. people dont realize how big la COUNTY is not just the city of LA, but the county is 4k miles. i live in la county and like 24 miles away from the fires and got the alerts as well, and 5 min later got a second one, saying to disregard that previous one that it was only for a specific area.
For those that don't know there was an error and they sent a a false alarm to all of LA county (which is HUGE). That's why they're so chill
