I agree with your choice of tools. I do electrical work only when necessary but when I do I grab my Klien and knipex tools. Snap-On have great tools too but I rarely can justify the cost. But those crimpers are reasonable. Thanks for the information.
Thanks, I just recently started this second TH-cam channel for Electrical tool reviews because it felt awkward posting tool reviews on my "Mount of Olives Channel with Gary Sawyer" channel that is mostly for my ministry video's.
137ACF or the 47ACF are my favorite pliers to use everyday. I'm not sure the difference between the models thats how I found this video was looking for up close shots of them.
47ACF has a typical shear cutting pivot and the 137CF has an induction hardened cutting section similar to combination pliers and linesmans. Otherwise identical. TBH, the cutter on the 137 is so tiny it may as well not be there.
Lmao, just bought the Snap on plies here a few weeks ago, they actually come in a set. I also had the Carlyle ones but sold them to a co worker when upgraded
I've owned every variation of those snap on strippers, the VIM style, the carlyle style, and I found the Snap on has the best ones and the sharpest. The carlyle didnt cut as well as the vim and the snap on, the VIM's chrome started to flake off so yeah.
I have those flush cut pliers and they are the best ever. For the money, buy the Carlyle crimpers over the Snap on ones. Yes the Snap On ones are nicer, but not 3 times the price nicer
Klein strippers are junk…. All of their hand tools have went way down hill…. I have Klein linesman pliers and needle nose from the 1910’s and up that cut better than anything they sell these days…. If you think the Klein strippers work better than the Forged Knipex ones maybe never used a pair…
One cool thing is they sell all 3 tools in a kit
