  • Klein vs Snap On - Crimper Tool
Without question the two most Respected and Celebrated brand names in the tool world. But Which one makes the best Crimp Tool? Klein or Snap-On?
I explore this question and come away with a clear cut answer. And the winner is. . .
Sorry that this is one of those "Talking Hands" videos, but that was really the only way I could film this (And Do It Right). I try my best not to make any "Talking Hands" videos but sometimes it's unavoidable.

You are crimping on the non insulated portion of the tool, when for your application you should be using the insulation designed portion of your crimper

Exactly! That's precisely why the insulator was damaged and looked crummy. Both tools do well if the demonstrator knew what he was doing.

IMO, i think it jus comes down to personal preference myself!!!!.. snap-on and klein both are excellent company's and both produce excellent tools!!!!

Are you unable to read the words right there on the tool? The "mash side" as you call it, is for insulated connectors. The other is for non insulated. That's why it's tearing the insulators.

I get your drift but I get what I can afford and Kleins is what I can afford. For those who can afford snap-on all the power to them but I get the same lifetime warranty with klein as well. But good video and comparison of the pliers sir. Mac tools makes good tools like snap-on but if I was able to afford them... so have blessed day and keep on bringing good videos like this one I love them.

Stopped watching @3:31 butchering the crimp/

Using the non-insulated portion of the crimper all the while. Hmm.

Don't use the tooth on the seam unless it is a brazed seam is what I'm saying. Best to throw away the insulated sleeve so you can see what is happening. Use heat shrink if needed.

Wait at least 3 days between the two videos, TH-cam gives that extra “NEW” label so that’s a nice boost. As soon as one new label boost runs out you have a video ready to take its place. People can literally filter by new release videos! It’s awesome!

Worry about what you do, not what content creators do with their time. Got it?

Because you are using the non insulated crimper to crimp an insulated terminal....😂 I've never had a problem with the Klien. I use NON-INSULATED terminals

The ideal industries 9" crimper with smart grip is pretty close to the snap on. The crimp is on the bottom. Like the snap on. I have a wire stripper cutter crimper from snap and few other ones. I will buy the snap on crimper I was never a fan of klein crimper way too flimsy for my liking.

I just got turned on to Snap-On in 2017. Before that I always.associated them with the Automotive repair industry (and rightfully so). But once I started with Snap-On, I loved it. The only Snap-On pliers that I haven't liked was their Wire Strippers, just too bulky, and maybe I am just too used to using my Klein strippers for too many years. But everything else I gotten from Snap-On has been great.

Great video! I prefer KNIPEX quality....

Yes knipex is great water pump needle nose and cutters. But knipex cannot touch this snap on crimper. The handle the crimp every thing about is top notch. Snap on does make the best terminal crimper out there.

DON KARLO I will definitely have to get them in my hands and check them out, That’s a solid statement, I love quality tools man, you have a great weekend bud.

You should learn how to crimp terminals first before you show others how to do it.

In the HVAC-R Field, I got both of the Snap on crimpers. Far superior than the Klein crimper in my opinion. Excellent crimps on spade connectors everytime. Just my opinion though.
