- It's a fateful moment in history. We've seen divisive elections, divided societies and the growth of extremism -- all fueled by anxiety and uncertainty. "Is there something we can do, each of us, to be able to face the future without fear?" asks Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks. In this electrifying talk, the spiritual leader gives us three specific ways we can move from the politics of "me" to the politics of "all of us, together."

As a Muslim...I adored him....I learnt few things from him....a very wise man...first class brain and a true humanist...may Allah bless his soul..rest in peace...
indeed. He was a beacon of light to me in my childhood. He led many people to God/ HaShem/ The Word/ Allah.
Beutiful comment
👍👍🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏
Exactly. Such a brilliant and articulate mind and what a sharp sense of humor and elegance.
I had the privilege to listen to one of his presentations in person... I was truly sad when he passed away. The world needs more wise and clearly above the average role models like him. Such an intellectual, spiritual and value oriented light in the dark of a very material and ego oriented world. Everyone should listen to the incredible speech King Charles of England (Prince Charles back then) gave on the day on his passing. Truly magnificent. Available on TH-cam🙏☀️
He was a giant. He is thoroughly missed in today's world.
So many valuable messages in this brilliant talk. RIP Rabbi Sacks.
Rabbi Sacks NOT Mr

I’ve a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS/Mormon), and I’ve been reading the Rabbi’s book “Studies in Spirituality” and it has filled my soul, inspired me to be a little better, and brought me to a deeper and closer relationship to God. Thank you Rabbi, God bless you, rest in peace.
I just want to say, I'm a Muslim and I love this talk. I want to say it because although, in the West, we have people from all walks of life, we don't know each other. We are a lot more together than we realise but we do need to talk to our neighbours more. I loved this talk not because of the rhetoric (lovely rhetoric) but because a person stood up for "us" and a better future.
DO NOT START BYT SAYING "I AM ...ETC" OK ?? U SEPARATE FROM THE START, DO U UNDERSTAND ?
@@StarvEgoFeedSoul I think it's perfectly fine to start by giving the reader some info on his background and belief system.
@@StarvEgoFeedSoul The way of your typing is so provocative that you will never be the one of US
God bless you.
We need more elders like him in the society today.
Thank you so much for your books, your kindness, your love toward your people, the state of Israel, Great Britain, and your loyalty and love to all humanity, and the message of peace between nations.
You were a beacon of light in a world full of darkness and hate, we will miss you dearly Rabbi Sacks
My father z"l fully took on this mindset. He would constantly get into arguments (usually political) with people who disagreed with him but it would never stop him from being their friend and being positive and joyful when greeting them. He loved those people even more than those who agreed with him because arguing with them was his "exercise" as he called it. And he so believed in telling our stories. I know all about my ancestors and my people because my dad told stories over and over again. Having a family story is one of the things that holds a family together, and even more so holds a people together.
May the neshama of Rabbi Sacks z"l and my father z"l have an aliyah.
A true giant of humanity.. whose words provide a path if followed, to the survival of mankind!
May the memory of Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks be a blessing for all.
I didn't expect to like this man so deeply !!! Amazing talk
that is why we have, all of us, to learn not to judge...but we never learn that do we....and even though we are so often wrong....all of us

Beautiful talk, rest in peace Rabbi. May your name be a blessing to all of us "We the People"
"& when we move from the politics of me to the politics of All of us together, we rediscover those beautiful counterintuitive truths. That a nation is Strong when it cares for the weak. that it becomes Rich when it cares for the poor. It becomes invulnerable when it cares of the vulnerable thát is what makes great nations."
Why,
WOW! I got chills. So wise and inspirational.
3 yrs and these truths still illuminate; friendship, loyalty, love and trust. The future us ' relationships, identity, responsibility'. Blessed memory always, 💜
What a wonderful human being. I loved listening to him. Rest in peace Rabbi Sacks.

Every single lecture from you provides deep truth and healing. I am very grateful to have recently found your videos. Thank you so much.
Love this man, Im a Christian and love the Jewish people very much
Great teaching from Rabbi o.b.m, his words will remain a light to many!
RIP Rabbi and thank you for your profound wisdom, knowledge and understanding.....selflessness!
Indeed, differences is what underpins diversity across cultures and societies around the world, and it is precisely what makes the world as interesting and fascinating as it is.
Wow, this was an amazing talk!
Its more on the poetic beautiful side of things... and yes, its an amazing one... but it still lacks the depth to find solutions and talk about the sacrifices needed in this modern day and era...
Baruch Dayan Haemet, such fantastic talk, great Rabbi and thinker.
Brilliant, clairvoyant Rabbi Sacks, you are dearly missed 🌻 🌞
This is wonderful thinking! What a great man he was! We are so blessed to have his speeches and writings.
This is the best talk that I've seen until now.
Thank you!!!!!! I feel blessed hearing your message!
RIP Rabbi! Such a great message.
I got chills😭 Sir, you will be missed.. Chief Rabbi Sacks
"A nation is strong, when it cares for the weak. A nation is rich, when it cares for the poor. And a nation is Invulnerable, when it takes care of its most vulnerable".
This is everything.
One of the best speeches Ich ever heard!!
"We can face the future without fear." Wonderful Rabbi just wonderful.
praise god for rabbi sack who give more inspiration to christians in England than any archbishop of canterbury in his life time
I needed this now more than ever. Thank you, Rabbi Sacks.

Baruch Dayan Ha'emes, blessed is the true judge, God, who often does what we don't understand....Who is here to review rabbi sacks timeless message since his untimely passing?
Boy do we need to hear this today in America.
Yes, we live in what appears to be trying times throughout the 🌍. And, I agree we spend excessive hours worshiping the "I" and the "we", which is unfortunate. It is unfortunate because we miss out on connecting with others, who are not like "us". Thanks for recommending the importance of holding out our hands to others that are not like us; it is a great way to close the huge gap of polarization.
Let's get back to "we the people". 👏
Great idea for all nations that dwell in the fear of the feature by Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks. Neither of the both extremes will help . One can disagree and yet can live side by side.
I love this comment of telling a story, linking to the past and the identity, just not take it for granted.
Thank you so much for this inspirational talk on this Shabbat night. Rest in peace, Rabbi. We will. Never forget you.
Woah he should run for president.. A compassionate leader who can listen to and work with both sides of the aisle
Great idea Jangmo but since he is a British citizen he can't. Also as a clergyman it would violate the religious separation of church and state.
harlan krissoff no it would not. A man of any faith can be president. The Constitution says congress shall not establish a religion.
, that’s it.
Rabbi Lord Sacks, we love you endlessly, we miss your physical presence, and we all are better humans for your having touched our life. Your every word is of truth so high that it becomes grace and poetry, such as in this speech where you speak to "the coreography of altruism". Your words will continue moving forward throughout all future generations.
Exceptional! What a Marvelous Speech, words of motivation in a present day. Thank you very much.
Beautiful mind,beautiful soul beautiful we.
It's the people not like us that help us grow. 🎓
such a short talk yet masterful powerful wisdom...im sold.
So crazy to see how relevant this speech is today, more than 7 years later!
Love your neighbors ❤ Love God
A very real man saying very real things that the world needs to hear.
Sounds like a brilliant guy.
Very true words! I wonder many times tht we must talk more to other who think different instead being surrounded by people who think the same as what we think! We should not filter!
If the whole world were like him the world would be a better place
You are dearly missed Rabbi Sacks. If only you were with us in the flesh 🎗️🎗️🎗️.
Wow, such a powerful talk!
An insightful message. Definitely worth the watch!
Absolutely best TEDtalk ever!!! I am so grateful for the opportunity to hear it.
24 x 62 Don't be a racist.
24 x 62 please elaborate on how the message of accepting and including all types of people (political, religious, racial etc) and talking to them is jewish bait?
If presidents, prime ministers and politicians held these views, shared that wisdom and gave that hope... our planet, our global community and future would be in safe hands.
"We can face any future without fear as long as we know we will not face it alone".
"Es la gente que no es como nosotros la que nos ayuda a crecer."
You start with a good question, which is easier asked than answered. I suppose another way to ask it is, What do we hold sacred? What do we set aside as special and holy.
I still miss him, a Christian from Korea.
Magnificent!!!!!!! thank you Rabbi Sacks
Such an amazing and smart person, ברוך דיין האמת.
Best Ted talk I have ever listened to.
I Agree with that the humans collectively are responsible for their actions but they still need a leader.
I loved this!!
You will be missed Johnatan Sacks. ברוך דיין האמת
Very moving...
A real hero
If we all would just act on the thought of calling our Mother, Father,
loved ones.. Love one, love all, forgive our enemies and remind each and
everyone in our lives to just breathe.. and have a moment to forgive,
reflect, never forget.. never forget to breathe.
great talk, thanks Mr. Sacks.
Wow!! I need some of this man's wisdom!
Great speech! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
O mundo ficou mais feio...sem a presença carismática desta pessoa que acrescentava tanto para nossas vidas...
Very enlightening and moving. I'm glad I didn't skip this TED talk because I'm an atheist, and he was wearing the little Rabbi beanie :p
Nihilistic One it’s called a kippah 😝
Nihilistic One Jewish wisdom is great
"rabbi beanie" is now my new favorite word for the kippah lol
