I love my 2006 5.7 Dodge Hemi truck has a solid back window as well which I love and the squatted look it has to it, I owned a Chevy before the Dodge but will never go back to any other truck, when I saw this truck for sale I had to and it was at a decent price. And last but not least the sound it puts out every morning i start it, its the neighbours wake up alarm lol.
Thank you very much for your videos, I am looking forward to find my own 3rd Gen Ram(searching since the end of last year). Here in Germany you only find cars which became total loss a few years ago or damn high prices which aren't any realistic.. Same with the F150's just a sad story
Thanks for watching and I’m glad they could help and I wish you the best of luck on finding one. Just keep an eye out and hopefully something good will come up
Dude I love your truck.👍🏻 I have an 03 1500 that looks a little bit like yours but mine has the sliding window in the back, hasn’t really bothered me all that much until I wanted to put my Custom offsets sticker on it. So I like how you have a solid window.😂
Hey did you need to do anything to make that 06-08 grill fit on your truck or is it just a straight bolt on...I really like how it looks I see a bit of a gap but I can deal with that. It looks really good
It will bolt to the 02-05 grille support with the exception of 2 bolts at the bottom, it also has a gap on the side beside the headlights, so I am going to find a 06-08 grille support to swap over to and it should eliminate that. You will still have the gap at the bottom corners, but it you can live with that I’d say go for it. I personally like the 06-08 grille better than the 02-05
do they last over 200k miles?? there is one im interested in 07 quad cab 5.7 hemi , lifted , wheels are done already , no engine light . just 2 months ago they replaced the headgasket and ignition coils and oil filter. priced at 3500$ what do you think? and theres absolutely no rust on the bed && underneath little to none as well. any tips ?? will be my first truck.
Mine is about to hit 262k so I would say yes especially if they are well maintained and not dogged out. Sounds like a decent price but before you buy you should check it throughly, that goes with any vehicle. The only problem I would have a concern with would be head gasket being replaced, usually that comes from having a blown head gasket which then causes the oil and antifreeze to mix so that would be the cause of changing the oil and filter. Definitely a plus with no rust on the bed but you should take a small magnet and test to make sure that it hasn’t been fixed with bondo, when I got mine the bed sides looked perfect and over the next few years they started to rust out so as far as tips keep any road salt washed away from the bed in the winter if you live in an area that you get snow. Another tip would be to let it idle after you park for 30secs to a min before you shut it off so it doesn’t heat soak the engine, one of their flaws is a ring around the valve seals that can drop out from excessive heat or overheating. Keep me updated and good luck!
@@TruckLifeProductions Thank you for the tips ! , ill definitely let you know how things end up going , but as im looking through the car fax , 191k miles , but when i said the headgasket got replaced , incorrect , it was actually the valve cover gasket that was replaced, would that be less concerning?? also ignition coils were replaced as well one more thing i noticed while i drove it around , oil temp gauge would go from the middle mark up to about 3/4 of the gauge every time i accelerate any idea on that one? that was the only thing i encountered while driving , i will get a code reader and see if anything pops up.
@@TJT153 yes that is less concerning and perfectly normal, they could’ve been leaking. Mine were at one time and I replaced them. It’s good to change ignition coils when they get higher miles on them because they don’t work as well as brand new ones. Definitely run a diagnostic test to check for any codes that may not be showing up. The oil pressure gauge can fluctuate when accelerating that is normal.
@@TruckLifeProductions just got back from running codes for the truck , I got 3 codes 1. C2206 vehicle configuration mismatch 2. U0141 Lost communication with FCM 3. U0100 lost communication with ECM/PCM. Are these concerning codes ?
@@TJT153 C2206 Code - when the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module detects the signal from the gateway module relevant for vehicle characteristic is missing for a period greater than the specified fault duration.
