  • Re-uploaded, my review of the Black and Decker Crisp 'n Bake.
This has actually been a very reliable toast in the months following this review, however is still has a hard time shutting off at time.

You're suppose to turn ot past 10 minutes the go back to the light setting and it should work.

I'm not sure what leaving toast in until it burns proves.

You didn’t follow the directions, so this is on you.

I just used my Black & Decker Air Fry Toaster Oven to toast a slice of sourdough bread using the half and half toast picture setting.
It perfectly toasted the top and bottom of the toast.
    Model #T01785SGC

I have watched about 10 other people with this exact oven get great results. You did not set the settings correctly. Read the manual! lol

Using the pliers and sticking your hand in there...gave me anxiety. If you are going to toast bread, please use a $7 toaster. Might be easier for you and safer. Good luck!

Yeah most toaster ovens I've used you have to wind the timer abit to clock it. Totally normal. That link looks like another model just a heads up.

You're right, you definitely have to coil that spring to get it to shut off. Unfortunately I think this specific model has been replaced by a new one. That may be what I linked.

Yeah. Right by the knob. What does that say? Turn knob past 10 then to desired time.

i dont undestand this, i turn the knob past 10 then it wont allow me to turn it back, it feels like am forcing it if i try turning it back

Perfect. That's exactly what I wanted to know. I want to replace my current cheap toaster oven because it, for the 3rd or 4th time, failed to shut off after it reached 0. That's dangerous. If I hadn't noticed it, it might have run all day long. Knowing that this one can do the same thing and costs twice as much as the one I've got settles it. I ain't gettin' this one.

Are you turning the knob past 10 then to desired setting? Like it says by the knob?
