Fun Fact: When Insaniquarium 2 was being developed, it was originally made with the DS in mind, of course, Insaniquarium 2 eventually was scrapped and redeveloped into Plants Versus Zombies. So it's less of a demake and more of a standard version compared to the HD release on Computers. (Plus, exclusive to the DS version is a minigame based of Insaniquarium but with scuba diver zombies!)
@@drakewahl7609it is on mobile as well (the ds version does have an exclusive minigame called air raid but its only in the physical version not the dsi ware version)
@@AlmightyCatumzabsolutely agree, and the best game to even to this day. Escape from mobile prison with ads, and enjoy it on your DS with no interruptions.
The Zombatar is also in the PC version, but there you can save multiple in the game, save a picture on your computer's hard drive, AND see the Zombatar lead a horde of zombies.
@@jasonmoore289 unironically as in I am not joking, many people enjoy using irony online, and it’s hard to tell when people do and don’t (in some cases)
PvZ on the DS was always so underrated. I love how the music was translated differently onto the DS speakers and how they made a different version of Air Raid
I never played PvZ as a kid, guess I was scared of the zombies. But watching this makes me wish I did, this just absolutely spits DS and early chilhood vibes. Just the way the zombie on the top slowly gets closer, straight up ds right there. I miss it
That ending part was real smooth and satisfying on the ears with the finger slide on the cartridges. Like flipping through pages of a book, or playing with the bristles of a comb. Yeah, I'm weird cause they make cool noises.
I played the shit out of my copy of PvZ DS version. I even used download play to play with my brother. I felt like knowing about the DS version of PvZ was some kind of forbidden knowledge. The exclusive mini games were pretty alright. They weren't amazing though. Edit: I no longer have the cartridge and my blue 2DS I played it on broke. Plants vs. Zombies has always been part of my life and I wouldn't have it any other way.
whoa I didn't know Plants versus Zombies had a DS version I also think it's cool on the top screen There's a Zombie keep walking past so you can have a little show as you play
This is why i prefer to game on these old consoles. My 3ds was the best purchase ive made in a while. Im tired of constantly being pressured to buy something
By far the best representation of PopCap KNEW what they were doing with PVZ... They didnt just port the game to mobile they port the games to PS3, XBOX and even the DS with multiplayer online and VS modes.... EA just trow ideas around some where good like Garden Warfare and some where questionable at the very least... PVZ2 mobile exclusive... making it a free to fast (FREE GAMES WITH THE OPTION TO SHORT YOUR TIME PLAYING THEM WITH PAYWALLS) or make PVZ Heroes and PVZ3 so mobile games and lack of personality... PVZHeroes is ok but is just mediocre and PVZ3 come on thats not PVZ3 the biggest evolution are more paywalls and a timer to play the game
@@ddsunused nope, not only the original developers mentioned that EA was the one who pushed PVZ2 as a Mobile only game with microttansactions, and they did Heroes the game it is...and also made the idea and budget to Garden Warfare (something they did right) but PVZ3 was EA idea... Not many of the original developers are on PopCap nowdays
When I first saw and even played PvZ on the DS, I always wondered what was the point of adding a mobile game to a console since we could just play it on mobile phones and tablets or computers. Nowadays, with so many ads and shoehorned microtransactions, I'm willing to argue that PvZ just might be the best way to play the game since you don't have to worry about ads and in-app purchases. While I'm on this topic, Angry Birds Trilogy on the 3DS also offers that same privilege. You get the good old Angry Birds Classic, AB Seasons, and even the crossover game with the movie RIO. Angry Birds Trilogy is perhaps the only legitimate way left to play those old Angry Birds games, which are now delisted and no longer playable on mobile phones, and the ones that are still on the app store have ads and in-app purchases. If you want to play some good old classic mobile games without having to suffer the hassle of watching ads, or having to deal with in-app purchases, then Plants vs Zombies on the DS and Angry Birds Trilogy on the 3DS are some of the perfect options for it.
I’ve been playing through adventure 2. Easily the best port of the game. Not only is the soundtrack a banger, it’s also portable. I think the PSVita has a port though but I’m not sure.
I have plants vs zombies for ds but it is still a good game for Android ds emulator because you can use you finger like the plants vs zombies mobile version just saying I prefer the d's version of the game🙂

Pvz DS is such an awesome demake of the game, not a lot of developers do that ever

Man... All these sounds bring me so much nostalgia.
Fav version of the IG PVZ, loved the zombies walking on the top screen
I like how the whole game is just the bottom screen and the top screen is just... There
ds was the golden era of video games change my mind
Nobody can change ur mind
Ps2
Xbox 360
Psp better😊
yeah that x360, ps3, vita, psp and ds era was awesome

Console versions have to be the best ones. Mostly because of the VS mode and CO OP
This is my childhood right here. I played it for about 1000 hours across the Ds and 3ds family's.
The pixelation makes the plants and zombies look very cute! How charming!

I never had played this game, only new plants vs zombies versions and the ds version is my favorite now, Sorry for my bad english
For sure some of my fondest childhood memories

i love how they went for a retro look with the ds port
A demake not a retro look because it would have ran in 2 fps because the Nintendo 3DS isn't known to be a good console for tower defense games

One of the greatest videogames on Nintendo DS👍
Wish they still sold DS Games, I lost 2 of my DS Games

Yes.
I just got a ton of flashbacks from that. Thanks
The DS definitely had a better screen for games like this and this game is definitely the best graphics display I've seen.
