Just finished this install, thanks for the great video. Made it into a 30 minutes project. FYI- the gasket that comes with the 1aauto part is way to thick to properly fit. I used the factory part off the old mirror instead. Fit was then great....Also, to access the plug, you have to remove the roof frame inside panel (two clips in upper third of panel), then the front most dash cover lifts out easily. Replacement was simple. Power/heated mirror worked fine for power only van.
Just in case anyone else has the same issue I did - Mine is a power mirror. This video is for non-power mirror. The plug is accessed through the trim just inside the door between the windshield and the door.
great video.....just a note for anyone with a power/heated mirror. The power plug is next to the dashboard mounted speaker. You'll have to slightly lift up the dashboard cover to access the plug. First remove the plastic side pillar cover and then the dashboard cover. Don't use too much force when pulling on the plastic parts....go easy on them.
Thank you for a great video. My husband and I were able to replace the power side mirror following the steps from this video. It took us considerably longer than we anticipated as the screws were so tight. otherwise it was really easy. The scary part was taking the inside trim off, but it came out perfectly as described, and I was able to lift the dash, find the plug with not problem. after that the only complaint was the foam insulation on the replacement mirror seemed thicker than the original but we were able to re-seat it in the housing and once tightened it fit fine.
Thanks- didn't know how to go under dash until you mentioned it, and about using the old gasket. On my new on the top plastic clip that holds the interior plastic frame to the exterior plastic body broke, so I fashioned a large paper clip that would follow the contours of the parts, put that under the bolt on the window side, and that held the pieces together up top.
Great video. Tracing the other end of the cable is a bit of a pain though. Have to pop out the pillar panel the runs up the left side of the windshield after taking out the bolt at the top, then pop up the back left portion of the dash (no screws), just enough to get to the connector, which I found wrapped in tape. Much easier than it seems at first.
Only extra thing to but was the T-27 screwdriver at $7.00 from Sears. Completed the replacement in 30 minutes. Would agree on replacing the gasket with the original. Great video.
gracias Amigo x tu vídeo. pude cambiar mi retrovisor y yo k me estaba ahogando en un vaso s agua. gracias y te felicito x tu canal.Dios te bendiga bro .
+Rafael Hernández Thank you for watching, and we're glad to hear you were able to change the rearview mirror! Keep us in mind for the future if you need parts. 1aauto.com
Well, we'd appreciate it going forward! :) But the important thing is that you were able to get the repair done. We're glad we could help. We love to hear that our videos are helping people get the repair done! That's our main goal. Great work, and thanks for checking us out. 1aauto.com?TH-cam&CTA%20Comment&ATony 866-403-3393
I second the comment stating that the video didn't explain how to access the connector for a motor-driven mirror. Also, the three mounting screws take a T-30 Torx bit. A T-27 will work, but it's sloppy.
2006 with power & heat, same procedure except that the new mirror came with a pigtail that had a big connector like the one in the video but there was no connector on the vehicle. I had to cut the connector off and cut the OEM mirror wires and connect them myself.
Can you post a how to for replacing the mirror glass on a 07 dodge durango? Mine is cracked in the middle and i have the part just not sure how to install it. Most seem to clip on but i don't want to screw it up.
I have a 2007 Town and Country and my dad cracked it pulling it out of the garage. We have power windows. The driver side is cracked. Does this video apply to the power mirrors? Can I purchase such mirror from your company? Please respond as our mechanic wanted $400 to order it and install it and to me that's horseshit. Thanks for your time and great video.
I got a Chrysler T&C Limited 2003, and would like to upgrade the front bumper to 2005 with the headlights and grilles, does anybody knows if it works? or there are some complication issues if i try to do that? it fix? 'cuz the replacement it seems similar. I will appreciate any help.
Ridiculous that you did not show the heated mirror removal w/harness! If you did, heated mirror installers as well as the manual mirror installers would benefit!

That's a good tip. Thanks for posting it. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
Here's a video for the kind I just had in (2006). You need to pop the top of the dash to get to the plug. th-cam.com/video/pVKCtmH7DYs/w-d-xo.html

Thanks for this. You made it easy peasy. Flipping the mirror to the front helps you reach that top screw easier. Thanks again! :)

Thanks for the video, without it I would not have been able to figure out how to take off the plastic piece covering the screws

Mine is an 03 Town & Country got off but can't reach the plug to disconnect. Any suggestions it the cord won't come out any further
You may have to take some of the interior trim off of the inside of the vehicle to access the plug. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
