Thank you for all the comments and positivity on here! Appreciate the reaction looks over emotional but I can’t stress enough how big it felt at the time! It’s great to hear so much nice feedback! Thanks Harry for sharing my story, I hope somebody out their finds the courage to take the plunge and shave when they see it!
Men lose their hair. Been shaving my head for 10 years and I’m 33. Met my wife and lost my hair. Probably sucked more for her than it did for me. My kids have never known me with hair and it’s just what men have to go through.
Well done man. It's an emotional step to take. when I did it I told myself 'I'm not that vein, i'm not wasting anymore emotion on this, it's just hair' etc.. but when it comes to the crunch , it's a tough step to break through. But i'm sure you'll agree, once it's done.. you can move on, it's liberating. You look handsome af too. smashed it.
You look 1000 times better, the fact that you are rocking an awesome beard with great coverage makes you look even better. I took the plunge 20 years ago when I was 28 and have never looked back. My wife loves my shaved head and massive beard look and so do the girls at work. Best regards, matey.
This type of video might be even more important than the “I loved it immediately” versions. I had a mini panic attack in the barber chair bc it didn’t fix my issues right away, but it takes time to get used to it and really see the positives. Thanks for sharing!
If he’s looking through the comments… firstly a big thank you for having the bollocks to post this, not the usual head shave video - it was nice seeing a different type of reaction compared to the usual head shaves, I’ve always wondered how people have felt (those that haven’t had the super elation upon first shaving) 2. You look quality with the shaved head mate, honestly nothing to worry about
Thank you man! I'll be honest I just tried to share everything with the moment and when I look back even i think it's a but over emotional but you can't underestimate the way you make yourself feel in the moment! Thanks for watching
You make it sound like you're losing an arm, seriously... Also if you're having a really hard time like this guy shaving it off, it's very healthy to do so, even if you're not balding, just to for a lack of a better line, "man up a little".
@@Arman-ch5vi Actually being passionate about a hobby, any hobby, is like at the very core of being a man. Men have had alll kind of different ideas and dreams, from art, to sailing to animation to robotics to farming, and it has shaped the world we live in today. Now what is not very manly is trying to shame someone for a hobby they do have.
Had the same experience when I shaved mine almost 10 years ago. Took me several days to be okay with it but I got nothing but compliments and I've been buzzing/shaving my head ever since.
Good for you, man. You honestly look so much better shaved. You’ve got a great beard that compliments the look. And congrats on your daughter! All the best to you.
This is usually biggest heard mantra and safe-mechanism which is clear indication towards what only bald people will say. It's actually required in order to keep their illusions grandeur despite of opposite reality which is just sad. Because mental wound from balding is so deep and painful that they refuse accept the reality and be truthful to themselfs. In reality they are suffering and being victimized from Stockholm Syndrome.
Appreciate sharing a reaction like this 🙏🏼 I had a similar reaction when I first shaved mine (after watching many BaldCafe videos). I’m still not fully used to it and still mourning the hair I wish I’d been able to have. But videos like this help me see that others have had a “disappointed” reaction initially, before eventually realizing it was the right move Seeing everyone be so happy with the change is great, but I also appreciate seeing the reactions of people who weren’t sure at first
Are you kidding me, dude looks amazing with the shaved head. You've got the killer beard to even it out so you're golden, my man! I think it was just the emotional/psychological shock of being without hair (which I can TOTALLY understand). I think you just relieved a ton of long-term stress off your shoulders and now you can move on with life and hopefully gain confidence in knowing you look even better now (even if you don't believe it just yet--I"m telling you, you pull off the new look seamlessly mate).
He does look better shaved! I stress out cause my heads a peanut shaped head...i never knew it till i was buzzed in the military. Im now in my 40s and hair thinning has got me not as confident as i used to be
@@robd1329 I hear u. I'm curious about using hair systems. I'd shave my head n go the hair system route in a heart beat, but they're pretty pricey for each wig and if you need at least 4 or 5 a year, it adds up--specially with maintenance and time and energy. I don't wanna go down the minoxidil or finasteride route though. Not a fan of meds. Try thr shaved look, buddy. If you have a beard to even it out, you're golden.
Yes IF either were balding/comb’overing they would look better shaven. Full head of healthy hair is obviously preferable, but life aint like that for most older men.
every single time i've watched any of your videos, the person in question has always looked better post shaving. You can literally see the weight lift of their shoulders as they realise they don't have to worry about it anymore. It's inspiring!
Bro as a bald dude myself who shaved his head in 2019 at age of 28 its not a big deal. I remember thinking damn wtf but than i realized there are people sick in bed wishing they had your problems. Its insane how crazy we get over the smallest of things. You are healthy. You look good. Grow the beard a little and youll be fine.
I accepted my thinning & hair loss during lockdown - well done mate! People don’t realise the pure blunt force impact this can have to a persons confidence! People will try & help by saying “it doesn’t look that bad” - that just makes it worse because we know that if we can see our own bald spot, everyone else can!! I miss my hair, but shit happens & now I don’t have any! You won’t regret not having to worry about it anymore ❤
Harry, thanks for uploading this. After years of watching your videos, I decided last year to shave my head. Much like Joe here, I did not like my look. I was fully bald for 6 months, but I just lost all confidence in my appearance. I then decided to grow it back. I have diffuse thinning all throughout the top and it’s clear I’m balding. But I think I look a lot better with hair than without. All this is to say, from someone who went from thinning to bald to thinning again, I can understand Joe’s and other’s reaction about the initial shave not always being a triumphant moment. It can be even more devastating because you think you’ll look great bald, but you feel as though you are not. Again, thanks for uploading a video where it’s not all bliss.
It’s all good man. The way I see it, I’m not sure if you’ll agree but… it sounds like you are more comfortable now with the thinning hair than you were the first time “pre” head shave? In my book you’ve won. You took a step, ok it wasn’t all fun and games but it’s gotten you closer to comfortable than you were before?
Watching this brought so many memories to my own experience. But i can completely appreciate the process, especially where you took a breath and then just decided, “do it!” And made that first swipe to your head…I remember that moment for myself. It’s the point where you think, “it’s now, or never…here we go!” But You look amazing and you’ll be so happy you did it. No longer have to worry, no hair products, and showers take NO time at all. Congratulations!!!!
Such a great choice. I accept it was hard at the time and admire you being honest about your feelings. Hope it allowed you to feel more confident, your daughter will love seeing you just being you ❤
The buzzcut looks great on him since he's got a hairline. I couldn't really do a buzz as i lost my hairline first so I just clean shave instead. But we all went through it , we all hated shaving our head the very first time but it only gets better the more comfortable you get as the days go on. The more you embrace it, the more better you'll feel.
Looks good Joe (from someone who razors his hair off every day), and congratulations on the birth of your daughter, I hope her and mum are both doing well. My son has never seen me with hair, I put on a lady’s wig for a joke one day when he was a baby, and he immediately started to cry, but stopped as soon as I took it off again. 😌
@@CancelRevival if that's your choice that's your choice, but once your brave enough to shave it off and deal with it, it doesn't matter anymore, I've been there and done it, it's the going bald that's the worst bit, being bald doesn't bother me in the slightest, it just isn't a thing anymore. So good luck to anyone, who decides they've had enough of hiding it, and shaves it off. Great channel this 👏
I mean, I had my head shaved for my first FUE transplant and just said "ew, I look awful" and moved on. 35 years of having hair and 9 years of that was fighting baldness, shaving didnt really phase me. Crazy to see people get so emotional. You have a good headshape for shaving, lookin good.
I started losing my hair at 17, and it was devastating for me. High school kids can be brutal! I was extremely insecure about it for over a decade. Then a funny thing happened. I started to realize that the only reason I felt negative about my situation was that it wasn't the "norm" for a young guy to lose his hair. Once I got into my 30s, I started to see more and more of my peers starting to lose their hair also. Now in my 40s and most guys start losing a little. I no longer feel like the odd man. I wished someone explained that to me when I was younger...it would have helped me feel better about myself. I now prefer my shaved head. I shave it myself, so I never have to pay a barber, and I never have to worry about my hair getting messed up. No bed head, no hat head. Overall I look tougher and manlier. You do too, mate! The sooner you embrace it, the sooner you'll love yourself again.
Same brother started losing mine at 17 aswell and it was a permanent annoyance but i embraced it more and more and eventually people turned from teasing to admiring the shaved head. Only bad thing was that girls my age never liked it but i gave it a few years and the women loved it so all good 😁
Bro I was absolutely dragged by every hockey teammate my whole life for being bald, even my 40 year old bar league teammates still give me shit about it lol. I was 13 when someone told me I already had a receding hairline lol. Not kidding I may have been the only bald hockey player in the entire NCAA Div 1 at the time.
man just be glad Ur able to hold on a beard I'm 21 but I'm not balding but if I ever do me being able to grow a beard and my jacked body will be my backup plan for going bald
I remember being more upset than I'd be willing to admit to people the first time I shaved my head, its such a massive change for blokes who've had longer hair their whole lives but have crossed a threshold and need to bite the bullet, it really messes with your self image. But my girlfriend told me any stranger who saw me walking down the street wouldn't think twice about my hair, it looks totally fine. The only reason its tough right now is because of how different it is to what I was used to. Same goes with you, you suit the short look, its looks fine and normal and no one would think twice about it. I got used to it pretty quickly and eventually felt a lot of relief, not constantly fixating on how my hair looked every time I saw a mirror has improved my life.
Thanks man! Tried to lay it on the table and when I look back now I was overly emotional about it but I'd built it up for while convincing myself it was bigger than it was!
Genuinely really suits you, it just takes time to adapt to the unfamiliarity of having a shaved head, you don't even recognise yourself for the first few weeks As somebody who was initially gutted about shaving my head (I'm 24 years old & single) I can fully relate to the mixed emotions, but I personally feel far more confident about the decision now after being clean shaved for around nine months You've got a cracking headshape for it and your beard compliments the look, all the best mate!
Well done this man. Had the same reaction a few months ago after shaving for the first time at 40. Think there is the sense that by shaving it off somehow the thickness might 'magically' come back. After a couple of weeks feels very different and going out on a windy day without worrying is great. Thanks for sharing.
from a man that started balding in my late 20's, I remember how upset I was when I realized it wasn't coming back and the anxiety I felt when I realized that shaving my head was the best option. I'm 41 now and I can't imagine myself looking any other way! You look great brother!
Going bald is completely a choice. There is so many different solutions to use towards it and you don't even need to take hair transplant. For my case i started balding and i took first finasterine and then minoxidil, which completely stopped my balding process and hair started growing and coming back. What i found best solution to cope this problem and what really fixed it was taking dosage of propecia. Now someone may say that your dick will stop working while taking it, but back in the days wasn't even aware of this problem, never faced this problem either myself but if anyone decide to try it at your own risk and each at their own i guess. I been having history of taking steroids so taking this wasn't nothing new to me at this point.
Honestly man, I think it's a huge improvement! Looks sharp as hell with that beard too! Chin up man, own it and keep learning to love yourself brother.
I literally turned 50 two days ago and still can't even grow a beard 😂 Your initial emotion was pure shock, but seriously you got lucky it suits you. I glad it all worked out for ya
I feel you man I'm 35 and can't really grow a beard and my hair is thinning and I'm a little worried about what I'd look like with a shaved head and no beard lol
Thanks for the positive message man! When it comes to the beard I couldn't grow one always, generally I just kept shaving it and the more I shaved it the thicker it got. I hear minoxidil is great for beard use too? I chose not to follow that route with my hair but if your desperate for a beard I hear it works! All the best man!!
Good on ya pal, I went through the same as you when I was 23....best thing I ever did was shaving the skull, 54 now and been blading for years, I actually love being bald and if they found a cure I wouldn't have it.... freedom from hair is the way forward. No faffing about in the morning or going out. Quick shave and done. You rock being bald...fair play for sharing 👌🏻
You look great, pal! Thank you for sharing your story with us, and, most important, thanks for exposing your vulnerability. Well done! True manhood in my book.
I went through the same exact thing a few years ago when I saw that my hair was going. It's a huge mental obstacle, but once you get that first shave in, the 100 strands of hair you had left, feel like a 50 lb weight has been lifted off your shoulders. Now I can't imagine myself with hair lol
Big respect to you. I'm 53 and was born into a family of bald men, all by their mid 20s. Lucky me I thought 35-40 still got my big ass head of hair... then as you and all watching your video know, shit it starts going... I've gone 13 years dragging it out but I'm at the same point you were, apart from mines now grey not dark brown which is a double whammy. But as I've found out Time and Hair wait for no man, so if in the next couple of days or weeks you feel a sharp stab in the side, thats just me cursing you for making me do it... Cheers.
Similar to the reaction I had when I first buzzed my hair down. Hated it. Thought I looked stupid. While I already knew my hair was thinning, I was surprised by how much the buzzing exposed what I hadn't seen before. My thinning had extended beyond what I already knew. I was mortified! I ended up growing it back, but now I knew the truth. I was thinning rapidly and I understood I could not hide it much longer. I ended up doing something similar to Harry. I buzz it off, I let it grow back, and just try to be comfortable with it no matter what. Openness is freedom. I'm certainly not the only man who is going bald, nor am I the only man who has chosen to buzz it off, or just exist with it as-is. The most important thing is just to be comfortable with your hair, no matter how much or how little you have.
Dude I've been going through the exact same thing! I've known I've been thinning for the majority of my adult life but I always kept it long and styled it to the side to hide the more thin areas. Than my last haircut the barber didn't listen to me at all and basically gave me a number 2 buzz cut. I was mortified by how thin my hair actually is! It's been almost a month since and it's grown longer and doesn't look quite as bad, but now I know the truth. Now I can't get it out of my head.
Thing is, you have guys on YT shaving their heads that have model quality heads and facial features that just makes a bald look work, but bald really isn't for everybody, for instance i have a slim face, i just don't have a lot of fat deposits in my cheeks, just genetics, i know for a fact that i would never ever look good bald, even my family members were honest and told me that i must keep my hair, in fact i look kind of sick with very short hair, i pray to fucking god i never go bald, 31 and so far so good.
HUBBA HUBBA! Looking great with the bald head and beard combo! My hairline started to recede in my mid 20s. Because of it, I rocked a variety of mullets and eventually got tired of doing anything with my hair and took the plunge to shave it. Having a nice shaped head is thankful, but I also think it gives you a sense of confidence you didn't have before. Before, my hair was a security blanket. It was a statement. Shaving it off was a weird feeling, but one I had to learn to cope with. I've received a lot of positive comments on it and have even been told I look very attractive with my head bald. It definitely made me feel a lot better and confident in myself as a whole.
You look wonderful my guy. Life is full of ups and downs and this experience really defines that. Such an experience will only make you a stronger and more resilient person. And, like I and many others are saying - you look incredible.
I have been shaving my head for about 25 years now. I don't have a problem attracting people and honestly my confidence is so much stronger. Took a bit to get used to it but I have say I like it a lot now. People love to touch my head which is fine and I can't tell you how much I have saved in hair care. Looks great on you too man ,actually looks really good . Welcome to the club.
It really suits you mate , I was in your position just before lock down , that did help me a lot with not much socialising , 3 years down the line I feel great
For years I was anxious about my terrible thinning and receeding hairline, I shaved it off during lockdown and I'll never look back! It took years to have the courage to do it, looking back I wish I'd have done it sooner!
It always strikes me how much other blokes say it affects them. I’m going bald but it doesn’t bother me that much, I’m not checking my hair every 30 minutes at work or anything. I don’t really look at it other than brushing my hair in the morning. If it is impacting you that much, shaving might be the best thing for your mental health. Stay strong brothers!
I think the ones that are affected the most are the ones who have had success with woman or have gotten compliments on their looks before or feel like they are finally reaching their potential and will now get woman but the balding ruined it, and now they feel that because of the balding/baldness that they will no longer be able to attract woman. Usually the man that accept the balding are married man or man who have a family already
This is honestly how I feel about shaving . I have the same sort of pattern, but I just can’t bring myself to shave it although I know it doesn’t look good. I’m always walking around with a hood up, even in my own house. A few family members have already braved the shave but I’m scared in case women just won’t be interested. I shaved down to a 3 all over when Covid started, and hated it. I haven’t been able to even find the slightest bit of courage to do it since.
@@SkankHunt3000 glad that worked for you. It’s just not my cup of tea. I will eventually just go for the shave, but it probably will be spur of the moment.
I gotta system. My system is shaving soap and a double-edged safety razor…took a few tries to get it right, and takes a little bit of time, but it’s the closest shave I’ve ever had in my life and leaves you feeling freer than a bird!
@@gmcc759 Doing a buzz.cut possibly still makes you look like you are balding. Taking it all off takes that situation away. Yes you will be completely bald lol, but it will not look like you're going bald LMAO if you know what I mean. In fact when hair grows back you will want it off asap. It kind of feels clean and fresh when it's off.
Top lad for not only posting this but also how you were thinking throughout the time... I completely sympathise with this especially when you said about looking ugly on the mirror, personally I still gate it and believe I was better looking with hair but after watching your video for the first time in over 11 years or possibly more you made me realise and think that maybe I think that way because we spend the last years holding on to out hair truing to style it in certain ways to hide it and me personally always use to picture when I had a full head of hair (that maybe the reason I keep hating being bold) and should maybe look in the mirror and realise yeah I ain't that bad... sorry for the long winded message but honestly it's a relief to think that way so thank you again 👍 this video really helps
I feel i need to say this brotha u got a great beard and facial features u really are stressing over nothing u look good w the buzzed look. It sucks that your completely overlooking and ignoring all your other qualities over something you can honestly do with or without. You really have nothing to worry about. Buzz cut, hunters eyes, great beard. Here in south Texas the ladies like em extra extra masculine. Youd be spoiled for choice here if female attention is what your worried about.
Honestly you still have a great hairline for the buzz cut! For me, I have a really high hairline so its hard to make the buzz look work, but yours is great!
As a woman, I never realized how emotional it is for a man to lose his hair and how much of a defining moment it is when they finally have to shave their head. It's as if they're losing their youth or something like it. When in a way, it's time to embrace a new phase in their lives.
I love a shaved head and like to see some balding as men get older. Older men (over 50s) with lots of hair make me think they have a problem with their hormones. It's good to see a healthy balding man
Dude you look great! Everyone who ends up shaving their heads and stops worrying about it looks better in the end! It took me TWENTY years to realize this with help from an amazing woman. Trust me dude it’s better to shave it than to “cling to scraps”. Ggs!!!
I feel for the guy, I would be in the same situation hence why i take my Propecia and apply Minoxidil for half a decade at this point, the thing about not worrying about hair loss is different for everyone, some accept it quickly some don t care at all and some would rather trade years of their lives to have hair
@@yuta5026 they worked like charm, finasteride stopped my progression of hairloss and minoxidil gained back what i lost althought even just finasteride can bring some hair back it just wasnt my case because my hair loss wasnt that severe when i catched and started these 2 treatments, i only have a receded hairline was similar to Heath Ledger s and because of treatment especially finasteride my hairloss stopped and i had 0 side effects and it took me 2 years until i hopped on it because i was afraid of the side effects and i lost more hair because i wassn t on treatment, now i regret now starting sooner
@hollowinside1962 Im glad you did so well. Im scared to do the finasteride because Ive heard of all k8nds of side effects like low labido low testosterone etc. And I worry its expensive. Id like to have long hair though....did it take you a long time to have what you wanted? I already said this but congrats for you king. 👏
it was like watching Clark Kent transition to Superman. Thank you for sharing this amazing moment and allowing us to celebrate your incredible new look.
I've been where you are, and I felt so much better after shaving. I feel less self-conscious and more confident. you've got some big balls bro, RESPECT.
Mate it looks fine shaved. The thing is your actually lucky because you still have a hairline. But it is a very painful transition & a lot of people just dont understand how bad it really is. You are literary losing your identity! & it hurts! But after you go through it you feel free so good man.
I was 30 years old when I started shaving my head for good and haven’t looked back and that was 14 years a go.My hair pattern was identical to yours when I started and now all I have is the hair around the sides of my head/horseshoe pattern.Going bald sucks and I felt like you when I came to my crossroads but it’s something we can’t help and I’d much rather be completely bald vs having a bad comb over or worrying about if the wind blows or I sweat and it exposes more of my baldness.Kudos to you on getting over that mental battle and going through with it 👌 👌 👌
Its only hair. we tend to get emotional because loosing our hair is like loosing a part of us and mainly loosing our youth. My head is shaved since i was 23 (39 now) and always felt good with myself, there is no bald jokes in this world that could make me feel bad. Be strong people, its just hair.
Man it looks so good - taken YEARS off you ! I started losing my hair when I was 17, I lived in hats and baseball caps until I was 30. Went to the barbers and he started cutting and I just said "Take it all off please" - he asked me a few times if I was sure. It was a HUGE shock and I had to walk through the city centre after, I felt very paranoid and vulnerable. But after a few days I started to take to my new look, especially when I went into work and my colleagues ALL said I look so much better for it. I would never go back to hair now even if there was a cure for baldness. Shaving my head a couple of weeks is so liberating !
Looks really good. You're lucky, your ears don't stick out and your head is a good shape. It's really good that you've posted this, I'm sure it'll help a lot of people.
Joe, you look so great with your shaved head. You're very handsome and your features are highlighted by this new look. It took a LOT of soul searching and courage. Well done, really you look fantastic. Congratulations on the birth of your second child.🎉
Honestly mate you look sick💪🏻 No more worrying about someone standing above you taking pics and being caught out on thinning. Takes balls to do what u did and give it a few months and you will understand properly that u made right decision
Never understood why people got so emotional over hair... But fair enough. Might be because I shaved my top bald by choice. Like 18-19, just wanted to try. Could always let it grow back if I didn't like it. Nothing was taken from me. From then on, I just liked it, and been shaving my head for the past... Almost 20 years. Had nice thick hair back then... Tried letting it grow back a few years ago... Again just to try it. Damn man, it have gotten VERY thing in the front. Back to bald xD
It's easier if you didn't have anything to lose. But seeing yourself gradually becoming less attractive and trying to hold on to it is what makes it so painful. It's basically taking a next step into a new style and saying goodbye to an old style you will never have again.
Great and honest video, I really like your final conlusion regarding what is really important in life. And stay assured you have a great head shape, you can wear the shaved head with pride. It looks much cleaner than before. Stay positive buddy! Greetings from Germany
Bro I can totally relate how you felt at first about it! You have to look at the positives: you're young, you appear to keep yourself in shape that's a huge plus there! And you're not a bad looking guy with or without hair! And truthfully you still have enough of a hairline that keeping it shaved short still looks good with the beard and your build. You can go the route I did and get SMP -(Scalp Micropigmentation) to add the darkness and appearance of a full shadow on top which can blend in to what existing hair you have left- gives off a nicely shaved clean cut look! I eased the pain by also using a favorite Celebrity (wrestler Randy Orton) as a role model for my current new look which helped inspire me to go through with it. Being completely bald wasn't for me as I had lost all my hair on top probably wearing the hair systems for years killed what hair I had left there and they got more and more expensive plus in the heat I hated that glue on my head. SMP I can see being a good option for him and yes he looks much much better with it thinned out and blended shaved than grown out with obvious spots showing. Takes a lot of confidence and I feel for all these guys going through this hair loss journey. And Harry's TH-cam channel helped me majority realize that there's more to love in life than hair.
You are ROCKING that hair cut!!! Wear it with confidence! You have a beautiful face and lovely eyes… and it’s that that people will see first… own it and believe it!
I love a baldy rugged beardy spectacled guy, and think most bald men look great, I think it’s the confidence factor to go for the big shave too, that goes a long way. Hot! Embrace it, I say. I know many women who like it.
You look so much better with it shaved, and definitely not uglier! My hair is thinning at the back now and I feel it's only a matter of time before I embark on the same journey as you.
I’m in the same boat brother . But haven’t had the you know what to buzz it off. You look badass man. Hopefully soon for me. I have the exact hair situation you had before. Mad props!
I battled with this for like a year. Once I shaved it off I wished I had done it half a year earlier. In the end you will realize it's not that bad and feel refreshed and not worried anymore. Have been bald for almost 1 1/2 years now, life is so much easier.
Mate you look so much better with shaved head... Im going through this exact issue, and tonight im doing this exact thing... Its difficult to process just how nervous i am, but your video has given me the balls to just get on with it, no point holding onto something that isnt there, thanks mate for your vid on here, nice work and looks spot on 👍
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 thanks mate it looks awesome and I totally get all of the emotion you displayed .......I need to do it and you've given me the confidence to do it too !! congratulations on the new little one too .
You don't sound like you're from too far from where I live. We've all been there man, that reaction broke my heart because the sou d of that shaver is like a chainsaw when you take that step man... it fucking hurts, and it's terrifying. But YOU BEAT IT. When I did mine, I turned it off and on about ten times, and paced the room shaking just like you... Fair fucks for bravely showing your emotions too dude- that is wonderfully braver than ANY head shave. One thing that gets overlooked in the headshave process is how you look there and then. You're in a different environment. A different surrounding in mind and body. You're wearing clothes that you might not wear outside (maybe you do but hopefully you catch my drift) and don't feel presentable. TRUST ME the reward of dressing nicely, having a good shape up on your beard, having a little tan on your chrome dome etc is unmatched. In the summer, having a bald head is ELITE. I feel sorry for those that don't. A plain black/white t shirt on a sunny day, some sunglasses and a radiating head is fucking bliss man... BTW this is NO WAY an attack on how you're dressed or anything, this is a general statement to head shave videos. None of us, me included, did it in the clothes we'd go out in in an hours time - sorta more the longey stuff we wear indoors. Hope I'm making sense 🤣 I'd recommend shaving it to the wood too, at least to try. It grows back after 2/3 days anyway so no real loss if you don't like it. That made me appreciate the bald look more. The experience of shaving was something I looked forward to. I loved it. You feel clean and sharp! You look fuxking amazing man! Don't tell yourself otherwise, proud of you man 👊🏼
Thank you man, really appreciate this one ! Like you said, it's a big step and when you first see yourself with no hair it's a shock! I go 0 guard now but am looking at shavers that will take me down to the skull! I'm really happy without hair now just the initial reaction was a shocker! I think part 2 is in the bio and going public soon so there's more on my journey there. Thanks for your energy man!
@Dadbodvlogs yeah, replied there also dude. Pleased on your uprise. You don't have to always like change, it's more the acceptance and embrace that is also hard. But you're doing great and I'm pleased to see you looking brighter in the second vid!
I did the same thing about a year ago. I was absolutely terrified and did not have the guts to do it myself. I got a friend of mine (who is also bald) to shave it off for me. It felt weird at first but as soon as you start to wear that bald head with confidence it's gonna feel much better. To be honest, you look awesome and your beard makes it look ever more awesome :)
Looks great! Just went through the same at 29 a few months ago, full close shave. At first it felt odd and I was self conscious about it. After a few months I do believe even if my hair came back I would stick with bald as I have come to love it. Funny saying that as 5 years ago it was shoulder length and I said I’d never cut it.
Dude, you look good shaved. Shave it down to the scalp with a razor. I first shaved my head around age 24, just for the hell of it. I went off and on for the next 9 years. I shaved for good at age 33. I always said I would give up the ghost when it was obvious I was going bald. At at 33 a workmate laughed at me saying I didn’t know you were that bald. I said angrily back, neither did I. That night I shaved my head for good, never looked back. That’s been 15 1/2 years ago. Shaved head is ALWAYS better than a chrome dome. I always said I would never be a chrome dome.
It honestly looks great! You look hot mate!! My hubby is heading this way and i just want him to have the confidence to let go of it because it honestly looks so much better. I'm in a unique position i have androgenic hair loss in a female case so i can really empathise with the shame and loss of confidence.
Well done Joe, from one bald brother to another I admire your strength! Peace and positivity to you 💪🏽
You look fxxking fantastic my man! Have a beautiful life!
For real it took me about 2 months to fully accept it after growing my beard out
A strong reaction and important to share. PS I hope YOU watched until the end 👌
Love this! When you brought out the #1 clipper, I was like YES! Here we go! Looking good champ!
If he’s looking through the comments… firstly a big thank you for having the bollocks to post this, not the usual head shave video - it was nice seeing a different type of reaction compared to the usual head shaves, I’ve always wondered how people have felt (those that haven’t had the super elation upon first shaving)
2. You look quality with the shaved head mate, honestly nothing to worry about
This takes a lot of guts and it helps a lot of guys in the same situation. Thank you mate for sharing this it must’ve been tough
Thank you man! I'll be honest I just tried to share everything with the moment and when I look back even i think it's a but over emotional but you can't underestimate the way you make yourself feel in the moment! Thanks for watching
Men with hair do not realise what we who are losing our hair go through. It's such a big thing.
You make it sound like you're losing an arm, seriously... Also if you're having a really hard time like this guy shaving it off, it's very healthy to do so, even if you're not balding, just to for a lack of a better line, "man up a little".
Andrew Tate disagrees
Yes I agree with you here.
@@Naatewaardyou watch anime, how you talking about man up lmao

Thanks man! Appreciate it! I love the bald now!

But videos like this help me see that others have had a “disappointed” reaction initially, before eventually realizing it was the right move
Seeing everyone be so happy with the change is great, but I also appreciate seeing the reactions of people who weren’t sure at first
Are you kidding me, dude looks amazing with the shaved head.
Thanks for the energy man! I feel great about it now!

I can’t express this enough. Men don’t realize how much more attractive they are with a shaved head. Looks great ❤
Let me guess, you want likes!🤔😝
So Brad Pitt, Ian Somerhalder and Jason Momoa would be more attractive if they were bald?????
Yes IF either were balding/comb’overing they would look better shaven. Full head of healthy hair is obviously preferable, but life aint like that for most older men.

What's beautiful is how much you were willing to share with us and yourself. The honesty is awesome. It's different for everyone, and that's okay!
You look better. Welcome to the family bro.
Most men think oh no I am never going to get laid again lol 😂 life goes on
Watching this brought so many memories to my own experience.
Same here, it was such a big moment for me to take control of my life.
Good to be part of the bald fold brothers
Such a great choice. I accept it was hard at the time and admire you being honest about your feelings. Hope it allowed you to feel more confident, your daughter will love seeing you just being you ❤
The buzzcut looks great on him since he's got a hairline. I couldn't really do a buzz as i lost my hairline first so I just clean shave instead. But we all went through it , we all hated shaving our head the very first time but it only gets better the more comfortable you get as the days go on. The more you embrace it, the more better you'll feel.
Love this video. The honesty and the final outcome. I think bald men look strong and make women feel protected.
I felt his pain, but as always, it looks so much better, and you get your life back. Well done 👏
Great channel this 👏
Dude! You look great! Your confidence is not in your hair, it's inside of you. You look more badass this way so chin up, man. 👍

Only bad thing was that girls my age never liked it but i gave it a few years and the women loved it so all good 😁
True. Every year that goes by the easier it gets.
Dude you look great bald! Also, good for you for sharing your emotions and journey with the world. You're doing what most guys wouldn't dare.
Thanks man! Tried to lay it on the table and when I look back now I was overly emotional about it but I'd built it up for while convincing myself it was bigger than it was!
Genuinely really suits you, it just takes time to adapt to the unfamiliarity of having a shaved head, you don't even recognise yourself for the first few weeks
As somebody who was initially gutted about shaving my head (I'm 24 years old & single) I can fully relate to the mixed emotions, but I personally feel far more confident about the decision now after being clean shaved for around nine months
You've got a cracking headshape for it and your beard compliments the look, all the best mate!
Well done this man. Had the same reaction a few months ago after shaving for the first time at 40. Think there is the sense that by shaving it off somehow the thickness might 'magically' come back. After a couple of weeks feels very different and going out on a windy day without worrying is great. Thanks for sharing.
Those windy days make or break you. I can't wait to just shave
from a man that started balding in my late 20's, I remember how upset I was when I realized it wasn't coming back and the anxiety I felt when I realized that shaving my head was the best option. I'm 41 now and I can't imagine myself looking any other way! You look great brother!
Likewise my friend, all the same feels and like you said can't imagine any other way now! Love the bald life
Going bald is completely a choice.
I literally turned 50 two days ago and still can't even grow a beard 😂
Your initial emotion was pure shock, but seriously you got lucky it suits you. I glad it all worked out for ya
I feel you man I'm 35 and can't really grow a beard and my hair is thinning and I'm a little worried about what I'd look like with a shaved head and no beard lol
You will look like you did 15 in prison
Thanks for the positive message man! When it comes to the beard I couldn't grow one always, generally I just kept shaving it and the more I shaved it the thicker it got. I hear minoxidil is great for beard use too? I chose not to follow that route with my hair but if your desperate for a beard I hear it works! All the best man!!
You didn’t figuratively turn 50?
Good on ya pal, I went through the same as you when I was 23....best thing I ever did was shaving the skull, 54 now and been blading for years, I actually love being bald and if they found a cure I wouldn't have it.... freedom from hair is the way forward. No faffing about in the morning or going out. Quick shave and done. You rock being bald...fair play for sharing 👌🏻
Much better man. You got nothing to worry about.
Cheers.
Shave it while it's still summer and you'll get an even tan 👍♥️ you'll look amazing
Grey is a blessing when you're balding, it helps hide the hair loss. Lots of people bleach their hair for this reason.
It's good that you buzzed it and got that out of your system, now you can more comfortably have your hair however else you want
Thanks man! Shaved off and never looked back!

Me too!

Can totally appreciate your emotion at the time and I respect how you've been so open about it. But the trim is unreal bro. You look so sharp
it was like watching Clark Kent transition to Superman. Thank you for sharing this amazing moment and allowing us to celebrate your incredible new look.
Oh dear. I’m balding and never took a second thought about doing a grade 1 buzz cut. Why get so stressed about it?
Mate…GLOWING.
I've been where you are, and I felt so much better after shaving. I feel less self-conscious and more confident. you've got some big balls bro, RESPECT.
Turkey calls
Congratulations on the birth of your second child.🎉
if a bald head suited every man like it suited this gentleman, I think we'd be much better off. You look very good bro👏
Honestly mate you look sick💪🏻
No more worrying about someone standing above you taking pics and being caught out on thinning.
Takes balls to do what u did and give it a few months and you will understand properly that u made right decision
his hair looks so much thicker when it's buzzed short
You look so much better with the shaved look. 👍
Dude your honesty is unmatched way to be man rare quality.
You have a decent hairline your winning over 99% of us that shave it off as we don’t have one 😂
You look great! You should be proud that you had the courage to take this necessary step. Wow!
Thank you for sharing this with everyone! It was everything emotional and totally wonderful! At the end; for me, feels so liberating!
Great and honest video, I really like your final conlusion regarding what is really important in life. And stay assured you have a great head shape, you can wear the shaved head with pride. It looks much cleaner than before. Stay positive buddy! Greetings from Germany
Good on you brother ! From Indianapolis, IN ! ALL THE BEST !
Honestly. It's not for everyone. Not everyone looks good bald. Specially skinny guys. For those with good head structure it's a blessing.
I love a baldy rugged beardy spectacled guy, and think most bald men look great, I think it’s the confidence factor to go for the big shave too, that goes a long way. Hot! Embrace it, I say. I know many women who like it.
Man this took some balls and I can feel the anxiety but you turned into a beast man. Looks great.
Have been bald for almost 1 1/2 years now, life is so much easier.
my man, you look very good with the buzzcut/bald head. from one bald brother to another, i really like the way it fits you
Looks better then before. You look younger mate. Good on you
Hey bro, sorry you are dealing with balding. You look good with and without hair. Happy to see a good amount of support.
Fair play to you mate. It's tough that you felt you had to do it but personally I think it suits you.
The beard helps carry it off as well
You don't sound like you're from too far from where I live.
Hope I'm making sense 🤣
I'd recommend shaving it to the wood too, at least to try. It grows back after 2/3 days anyway so no real loss if you don't like it. That made me appreciate the bald look more. The experience of shaving was something I looked forward to. I loved it. You feel clean and sharp! You look fuxking amazing man! Don't tell yourself otherwise, proud of you man 👊🏼
Mad respect for this comment man. This as absolute PRIME Baldcafe. Proud moment in this community right here. 🫡
Man I did what you did and I’m 61 yrs old! It killed me! I’m making my head great again!
Man this suits you so well.
Nice buzz and a fade on the sides will look amazing for you.
