Beautyful video...lovely islands, I have visited Hydra and Spetses and i love them both ,you have manage to describe the atmosphere and the summer vibes very well, thank you
Very well done , for someone visiting Greece for the first time do you think visiting Poros and Hydra will give me a glimpse of life here . I am trying to to get another Cycladic island to this .
Thank you! Poros will definitely give you a glimpse of Greek life. Hydra is amazing, but isn't typical. These are both Saronic islands. To get to a Cycladic island from here, you'll first need to go back to Piraeus and catch a ferry from there. In the Cyclades, I suggest Syros and Tinos, but not Mykonos which is sadly very touristy, although beautiful. Feel free to ask any questions ❤
@@VoyageVoyager77thank you , I can’t tell you how crazy it is trying to get an idea of what it is really like especially when you want special in a limited amount of time . Thank you again
Very nice presentation! But you put us in charge of something very difficult - which of the three is your favorite! In Greece, in general, you can't make rankings! There is no podium! It is only a higher step, from the 1st place! I have been all over Europe, but the combination of nature with the aesthetics of the places and the friendliness of the people is unique in Greece! What can you say about food, music, art, history! There are some stereotypes about food, for example in other southern countries, that they would be great in this regard. I don't want to name names, not to offend, but I always got up from the table hungry! Monotonous dishes, with two,,zz,,...., or a few that were for weight loss...And you still paid for sitting at the table! In Greece, on the other hand, you are offered so much for free, from the house!
Excellent video! I will be spending 5 days in Greece, landing in Athens in the afternoon, and taking an immediate ferry to Poros, where I will spend 2 days. I was then thinking of spending a day in Hydra, since as you said, the ferry from Poros to Hydra is only 20 minutes, and then spend the last 2 days back in Athens. Do you think that this is doable, or would you rather visit just one island out of Poros/Hydra/Spetses?
Hi Matthew, it's definitely doable. Poros is a great Greek experience and quick to get to. Hydra is so special it's worth stopping here even just for a few hours! Just check the ferry times to ensure you spend enough time on Hydra. From Poros to Hydra takes 25-30 mins depending on ferry, and Hydra to Athens under 2 hours. Leave Spetses for when you have more time, it's also further to get to. I like using Ferryhopper.com to book my ferries, choose the "Island hopping" option and book all your ferries all at once. And book them asap, the demand is high. Enjoy! And thanks for the compliment, glad you enjoyed the video. Patrick

Greece is a country with unique geography and so much character! My favourite of these 3 islands? To me they are all perfect for different moods. I really do love all three!
