My hubby told me he dated white girls while in HS and early 20s. He said that it was b/c they talked to him first. They flirted with him first. They would even buy him clothing and other things (which his parents and grandparents advised him to stop taking). He said the black girls were never clear as to whether they liked him or not...they’d just tease and joke or be mean. Maybe they were nervous or afraid of rejection? I say this to say that non black women do the most when competing and proving to black men that they can be valuable to them. I’m black and YES I wrote my hubby love letters while we were dating. He told me that they actually changed my status to fiancée. I used to sing Mary J Blige Love No Limit to him when we were dating even though it was an older song by then. To me those lyrics said it all!!

I've been on 100+ dates since 2014. The only woman who showed up late was a black lady. She arrived, wait for it.......an hour too late. All the other women (who came from all kinds of etnicity) would take 5 minutes to get comfortable and talk for hours on end, all I had to do was ask questions, jump topics and crack some jokes and the ladies would feel safe, open up, be honest and share their life experiences. The black lady would be sceptical, hesitant and nowhere in the date (I had to end early) did she give me the impression that she was interested. Yes she was beautiful and eloquent, but no thanks she was not joyful or fun to be around. My 2 cents.

@mike smith Its my own brother. I am a philosopher and mentor. I dont post that to throw shade on BW....but do you not hear BM's reasons for checking out?? When KS speaks of HV men...I am one of them. Mid 40's, in shape, and definitely well off. Men have to work to get here and when we arrive, we dont want drama and a loud mouth waiting when we hit the door. Most of us would prefer a BW on our arm, but we will marry out if it means not dealing with victim mentality and disrespect. Its not just women...think, would you rather deal with a white cashier who threw your groceries around or a black one who was pleasant and respectful. Here their behavior is the change factor. There are many white women I wouldn't spend 2 minutes in a room with, those are not the ones HV BM go for. A loud abrasive woman of any race is a no go! If you understand the quote it tells on itself. Its why many white boys marry Asian women, its why MGTOW exist.....men are checking out on women in general due to bad behavior and their corrupt mentality.

Not every man deserves a diamond. There should be as many diamonds (high value women) as there are high value men. It makes sense that they are rare. Women who want to get a partner and are willing to lower their standards always find a partner. Only those who "won't settle for less", stay unmarried. But for older men, who are not high earners, overweight and single, life gets really hard. Because they can't get any woman in most cases.

KS is telling the truth. Some of the White women take Black men by being friendly and freely giving or offering help. When Black women have the same positive, friendly attitude towards Black men, they're told "Don't chase no man". In my opinion it's not chasing a man but being friendly. Black women who have the fun, cooperative, giggly personality are shamed and called weak by many Black women. It's sad

I remember reading both books in the "How to Love a Black Woman/Man" series to get a perspective from both ends. For the women was an interesting narrative the author put together (paraphrase): Woman was complaining her A/C wasn't working well during a heat wave. She calls her boyfriend at 6am knowing he's heading to his job at a construction site for 8am to ask to check out the A/C before work. He does and, 35 minutes and a glass of water later, it's working fine. She thanks him, kisses him on the cheek goodbye, tugging on him but he says "I gotta run babe, I'll call you at lunch." And he's off to work, maybe late.
Immediately she wonders if he's seeing someone else. He wasn't as affectionate or playful as usual. He seemed tense when he came in. "Just focused on the A/C, barely looked at me." She calls him 3 times btwn then and lunch. He's not answering. Wth?
He calls at lunch and she barks at him: "What's up with you? You acting a bit standoffish. Like you don't want to be around me. You don't love me anymore?"
Finally he gets a word in. "Babe, how can you say I don't love you? You called me at 6 something AM, I came over, late for work, to fix your A/C. No breakfast, not even toast was offered. I fixed it and was running late. *Of course I love you. I showed up."*

I'm Puerto Rican and married a Puerto Rican recently and she's hot, skilled, cooperative, and feminine. Do you know how it makes a man feel when a hot lady asks if you want some coffee, makes you breakfast or just wants you to do her?

I didn’t see my father every day but I always had respect for him and loved him, My mother never talked bad about my father to us children. I was blessed to spend time around other women that were wives and we shared a joy in cooking, raising our children and taking care of our men. The mistake I made was that I allowed my mother to move in with my husband and I when we were first starting off and that was a big mistake. She had an opinion about everything and disrespected my husband. She caused me to see him in a different light and it wasn’t her place to have anything negative to say about the man that choosing to stand by my side and take care of our family. My husband can get loud sometimes but most of the time I cater to him, try to make him feel appreciated. You want to do something for modern women, wives spend time with your single sisters to show them how it’s done. Show them how we are kind to our Kings, how we are the ones they want to share how their day went. Middle Eastern marriages aren't "arranged." That statement proves how ignorant she is. The amount of times that actually happens is so minuscule compared to 50 years ago or so and when it does rarely happen, it happens overseas, not here. We just "date" differently than other cultures in the west. The families are very involved in the courting and marriage process because we're very family-oriented. And it is rare that we marry outside of our race culturally. That lady was just looking for excuses.

I'm a black man and I have always dated whoever I wanted. I'm in my early 40s now so we know that's been looked down upon throughout my lifetime. I couldn't care less. I also love my black women. Dating outside of my race doesn't mean I hate black women. The fact is, it's about qualities. We have to compliment each other. This is the case with my native American gf. We both run businesses. We put each other first. She pays me compliments, as I do her. She's straight forward. I don't have to guess what she's thinking. She always has a smile for me, even after we disagree about something. She embodies the feminine qualities I love in a woman. Most of all, she doesn't try to manipulate or emasculate me. Lastly she wants to be loved, not handled.
