Madam Ayo mentioned that she worked her way up, but let's be clear it's a privilege. I don't entirely agree with her statement. Folashade Nimota Okoya, the MD/CEO of Eleganza Group, inherited the company, which was founded by her husband.
As Dr Abati rightly pointed out, it's insensitive to flaunt such wealth, especially given the current circumstances. The timing is wrong, and it highlights the widening gap between the rich and poor, fueled by greed and oppression.
What I know, remains it's very difficult to have a clear mindset and speak for this government.

Older home-grown Nigerian public servants are at it again! My sympathy is with Ajuri Ngilale. Put simply, in our country, home-grown professionals do not often welcome more dynamic 'Young Turks' trained overseas. Many highly qualified Nigerians who out of patriotism had shunned fat pay checks and superior lifestyles in the global north, often get mired in sinister office politics engineered by 'dead woods' who think age and grey hairs must be respected over and above modern job skills, new global professional practices as well as the ability to think outside the box at work. A typical Nigerian public servant waits to be spoon-fed by his employer - the government - to get things done. This mindset accounts for why China, Japan, and the east Asian tiger economies have eclipsed our country economically. These 'aunties' and 'uncles' who have forever been calling the shots in our public services, government agencies and universities are the reason why our country's economic liberation has been sluggish and laiden with a millstone.
I wish Ajuri well! He can always go back to the United States, his mom's homeland and sell his skills.

My plea to the Arise crew is to be more meticulous in sifting and selecting through probable headlines that can really resonate with your numerous audience. Some of your story choices in this particular broadcast just did not cut it. My opinion!
I wish Ajuri all the best and pray for God's mercy upon his family. For me, the suspicion revolves around why he had to send his resignation letter through the Chief of Staff and why the vague "Presidency" issued a statement as against a personal letter from the President himself, given that Ajuri was a close aide. Its just fishy and suggests that Ajuri indeed had lost his previous level of access to the President
