@@JDoe-hb7pc Yeah, Well said. No more identify anybody with their God given traits. But then turn around and use Marriage as an oxymoron. And demand rights that supersede other people. If people don't agree!! They should lose their careers.

So true, yet so hard to believe when you do feel bad. One lesson I definitely learnt when I was going through a really tough time was to just take care of my needs in the moment, and trust that the despair, depression, etc. _would_ pass eventually, or at least ease to a more tolerable level.
Well... Major Depressive Disorder lasts for more than a moment. He's not really talking about isolated moments of feeling "down". But yes, the point is, there is always a light and things are never as bad as they may seem.
It took me a second to even realize this was Billy C. He's so thin. (he's 6'3" and normally well over 200 lbs.) Theses thoughts are philosophical and impressive to me. He's gone through some serious shit and he's processed it well. I saw him on Joe Rogan's podcast recently and he's even more thoughtful and, seemingly, at peace.
Thanks for noting that. Life is tough as hell, even for the fortunate, and I'm always pleased to see people navigate it well. Billy seems like he's really invested in better mental/emotional health. Good investment!

Years ago this helped me immensely. I since gotten on medication, got married, and live a stable happy life. Till this day a lot of what Billy says here I find myself saying to others during their dark times. 33 is my wedding song, but it wouldn’t be if it wasn’t for Billy, I couldn’t thank him enough.
Billy is my hero. He describes my life better than I can with my own words, and I already knew that before watching this video. This is the best video I have ever seen, I needed this. Thank you a lot for uploading.
I just found this and I’m thankful I did. I began recalling previous abuse I had masked for so long and I’ve had problems with emotion regulation. However, watching this displayed that I do need help and I can’t battle these demons on my own. Thank you Billy
I relate to Billy on abuse I was abused physically mentally sexually by people who were abusing alcohol and drugs. It’s a great big fucked up world we live in!
He is such a beautiful, intelligent and *wise* human being...this isn't coming from one of his obsessive fans, either. I'm just very much impressed with his views on many things and wish the rest of stardom could embrace that as well and truly be a good influence on humanity.
@@Taylor.Dude. You know, you are free to agree with an opinion or not, without necessarily using this non-funny sarcasm. That said, take care and live well, man.
He looks like complete sunken in shit. This was his rough patch during the 2000s when Jimmy left again, Courtney rejected his advances but let him move in and the band was playing their worst setlists ever. I'm actually glad to see him with weight on him now
It is your own problem. You're not going to find it at the end of a crack pipe or at the end of a gold record. You can find some solace in songs like "stumbeline" or "galapogos" Those moments mean something. Thanks Billy
He looked seriously ill here. This is when Jimmy was gone for the second time and he had fully committed to posting his rage in real time through Twitter.
thank you for sharing humbly and honestly Billy Corgan. i fully believe Jesus is the Answer for the human condition. Jesus came to reveal the mercy of God the Father. to restore us to perfect authority, love, provision and protection. Identity can only be found in the creator who took on a human body entered His creation to love us and provide mercy and justice in punishing our sins to free us and demonstrate his love for us. turn from your sins and trust the good news. that God in Jesus is not counting our sins against us and will adopt us as his own. This is my experience and my hope.
It's funny that Billy in this interview says he "made up his mind to have nothing to do with drugs or alcohol" but doesn't consider taking handfuls of LSD to have a negative impact on his life or emotional wellbeing.
Is this around the same time he reconnected with Courtney Love? I feel like that always seem to coincide with his major depressions, frankly people only connect with her when they are at their lowest (Cobain, Corgan, even Fielding). In Billy’s case I wonder if he was drawn to her damage and just got pulled too far down. Anyway, his words here are so profound I’m glad that he pulled through this and that he seems to be in a great place now.
Yes. She didn't want to be his girlfriend, but she let him move into a wing of her mansion. He was addicted to Twitter fights and Jimmy Chamberlin was gone for the second time under bad circumstances. Billy also did this thing where a contest winner won a personal lunch with him in LA, but the contestant had to pay the bill, leave tip, etc. Combined with the worst setlists to date, his foul attitude, and a growingly angry audience, he had completely lost it at this point.
This was around 2005-07... I think the 2000s were really rough for him and I know he changed his diet often which makes me wonder if he lowkey had an eating disorder. He started gaining a lot of weight back around 2011-2012. I've heard speculation about other factors but it's obvious he was pretty unhappy after Zwan collapsed and the SP revival wasn't greeted with much positivity.
One thing i realised is that you dont need to take it out on your own band members i know many people who was abused sexually including myself but i never use that as an excuse to treat other people like shit your music is beautiful your musicians are beautiful but your attitude towards your own friends can be shit
+The Wedge , Yeah but he was very unhealthy at this point in his life, not just physically, but mentally, he was sleep deprived etc. So if a slightly fatter version of him means he is overall better, then I'd say pile on the pounds.
Never liked or trusted this guy. Also his music isn’t just from the heart, he puts too much thought into what he believes people want rather than what he really feels. He’s not a “from the heart” kinda guy, he thinks commercially and tried to guess what will make him money based on what he believes will be the next sell no point. Never liked his music or trusted him as a person. Imo lol
This is true only to a point. His musical output is so voluminous and a lot of it was clearly made without that kind of pretense. His solo albums in particular are very sincere and unique, also the Pumpkins album Adore. Even his "commercial" hits like Today and Disarm are extremely raw. Now I do think his more recent output under the Pumpkins moniker has been clouded by commercial considerations, absolutely. But we are seeing more experimental fare on Cyr and Atum, alongside his more recent solo albums Ogilala and Cotillions which are definitely worth checking out.
This man is a treasure. So happy he has a family of his own now and a partner that loves him.
