It was very messy but more creative. Teams not afraid to try some unorthodox moves even on the first tackle as opposed to the predictable footy played today
Gee I love the retro playing strips on both teams.Adidas did a great job bringing out the proud colours of both sides.I don't know what their trying to achieve with the uniforms these days.Too many sponsors trying to get a piece of the pie. Miss these days. Not complicated or confusing.Footy was footy.Great game!
Respec to the Great Mark Graham, one of New Zealands' best football players of either code, League or Rugby. He was ranked Worldwide as a top player and a master of the unload and did I mention TOUGH, the opposition used to work hard on taking him out off the ball as they knew with him gown, the Kiwis game plan went to the pack.
Tēnā koe, thanks for the upload bro. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Many heros out there from both sides. My pick for man of the match Kurt Sorenson
We won this without Mark Craham massive games from the Sorenson s and Broadhurst
Sweet! Remember it like yesterday.
Darryl Eastlake was a good commentator. A lot better than Ray Warren
You will never see this style and brand of footie ever again, What a pity.

Good to watch the game from the 80s
Beating the Aussies, the Ultimate achievement in the game back then, the game lacks characters these days

What's even more amazing is that the Kiwis won this test without him .
Pity Kev was still playing in the UK.
Ref loves his whistle.
Man the kiwis were dirty. Swinging arms in most tackles
wright's legit cover tackle on big Mal was a beauty mate!!!
That was pretty much the game back then!
That's league mate.
Loved this game when I saw it back in 83 but to be honest, looks like a bad NRL game in today's context.
At least a couple of token Queenslanders that shouldn't been in that Australian team.
Which ones do you reckon?
@@nzrugbyleaguevidz First one was Brad Tessman, no way should he have been picked before a number of players in Sydney back then.
@@absoluteb22 Ok.
Yeah, I thought it looked a pretty average Aussie forward pack.
Where was sterling ..Kenny .. Jack .. throw in lamb .. etc @@absoluteb22
