- A long-awaited documentary on the life of beloved Indian saint Anandamayi Ma (1896 -1982), known as the Bliss Permeated Mother. The film includes precious archival footage of Ma Herself, moving reminiscences from devotees who actually knew Ma, and personal stories from others who never met Ma but are deeply affected by Her. Most filming was done in 2011, with the exception of archival interviews and footage. Jai Ma!

I randomly came across her picture on the internet, and felt such magnetism. Then I came across her audio, again the same attraction. It's today that I'm finding who she is.

I visited Her ashran in Dehradun and in Haridwar many times. I never met Her but I received many graces from Her. . When I entered in Her ashran She said clearly to me - You are in Me and I'm in you - She also visited my house in Sao Paulo in the early hours to heal my son. Jay Ma!!!

Taira Stuart - My son was sick getting worse day by day and doctors did not discover the problem. Every day he got a blood test and the result got worse and worse. The doctor said if tomorrow does not improve he will be admitted to the hospital. I asked her for help and that night a friend (who didn't even know of her existence) who slept at home "dreamed" of a lady of great light coming down the stairs on the 2nd floor, long white barefoot tunic. My friend took her to my son's room where she made various healing gestures. Only when walking out the same stairs she can see Her face and in the morning told me- came here that Indian lady from the picture you have. Was her! That morning we repeated the exam and the results were already normalizing. Years later, my 20-year-old son went to Dehradum's Ashran, in the simple little room where she died to thank her. On another occasion I was meditating at Haridwar Ashran when one of the servers working inside the mandir, where only authorized people entered, came out and presented me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I marveled at the gift but couldn't imagine what it was about. Upon returning home to Sao Paulo I underwent surgery for ovarian removal and a benign tumor. Months later, during a meditation I was revealed that She who had precipitated the removal of that toxic burden that had been burdening me for many years. She freed me from it. That was the gift she gave me with the flowers🌹

MA always said that She has come because the devotees wished it and wanted that. It was Her devotees will and a hugh desire to feel and see Divinity. Jai MA. MA please bless my soul. So all you people who have experienced Her presence are truly pious and have pure heart. Keep praying.
I had no idea she existed before she came into me in a dream. As it seems she has done for many. She was beautiful of course. It was all in her grace, the way she moved. I was too dumbfounded the whole time to say anything. I felt I could only stand there like a damn fool, staring, mouth adjacent. I managed a word at the end; before she passed through a door. I felt the word leave my lips, drift through the air, and enter her being. She paused, turned, warmly smiled at me, and then proceeded.
I was still frozen in place, but felt volumes of joy and love. When I feel her near, I cry the most holy tears.
Something that really stuck out to me was that "mere presence is simply enough."

I was fortunate to get her darshan a few times , she was goddess in human form , actually there are no words to describe her presence, the english language is simply inadequate . I suggest persons who have not seen her in person , please take some time to visit her Hardwar ashram where her samadhi stands . Go with an open mind and you can feel her divine presence, Jai Jai Sri Sri Ma

I find today is 27 th August... The day she left her mortal coil... back in 1982. 37th anniversary ! Same as my age :-). I was destined to watch this today !! My ever adored figure of spiritual ecstacy.. Ma Anandmayi 🙏

I have met Anandamai Ma way back in 1976...She was at Konkhol Ashram that night She was preparing to leave for Utrarkashi Ashram next day early morning.I felt sitting in front of her the peace and the love flowing from her we were just staring.

All I knew about Ma was the little section I’ve read out of Be Love Now, many months ago. I started reading Autobiography of a Yogi yesterday. And She came to me in a dream overnight. I didn’t know they had any correlation, or that she was in Yoganandas book before watching this documentary. I awoke from the dream with this very confused feeling. It seems like it’s happed to many people in the comments as well. I’m going to order her book and spend some more time with her.

Jai Ma! Happy Guru Purnima! Beautiful documentary on Ma! I enjoyed hearing the stories of Ma & could relate to many of the experiences. Thank you so much. I first connected with Ma in July, 1977 in LA California, through a photo of Her given to me from one of Her devotees. From that time on, a miraculous transformation occurred, due to Her Grace. She showed me that She is the Eternal Atman (Self), and I experienced Her universal awakening in the Heart. That changed everything. From August of 1977, until Ma's Maha Samadhi in 1982, I spent a few years, off & on, following Ma in India. Much of Ma's teaching was through mirroring and silence. Simply being in Her purifying Presence caused profound spontaneous insights to happen. I became aware of old patterns (kleshas) that caused my, and other's, suffering. Not only insight of these patterns arose in Ma's Presence, but the habits often naturally dissolved. Ma has been the greatest teacher in my life! Wow! so fortunate you are...I would love to hear of your inner awakening that occurred in Ma's presence. Particularly the habits and patterns you mention. Mirroring and silence sound so mystical, but I do believe in them, though have never experienced them. I read about similar accounts of communication from some devotees of Ramana Maharishi.
I have only just learnt about this wonderful human being, it is easy to understand why she gathered such a huge following, what a beautiful soul full of grace, knowing that a divine presence walked the earth once upon a time gives me hope, that this is possible, Mankind has been given a chance. If it happens again, let's not waste it, in fact there are powerful spiritual beings coming out of India, the treasures you have there have great mana (Maori phrase meaning power/authority/prestige) and aroha (love/compassion). Come to our end of the planet, we (the Maori) know when we are in the presence of greatness, we're not totally sucked in by capitalism, we're still humble - aroha to you all 💖

You can be the divine presence yourself! This the teachings of yoga and Advaitā Vedantā. You should meditate (Atleast an hour daily) and learn about it. Everyone human being can be like Maa Anandmayai or Sadhguru or Any Yogi, he just needs to meditate, still his mind and feel the essence of universal consciousness. I am glad to have watched this documentary about MA on the auspicious DAKINI DAY!!! I am a Buddhist but I believe she is a Dakini in human form!!!
One thing you can certainly say about these speakers is that, as disciples of Anandamaya Maa, each of them - young or old, male or female - is very impressive in their appearance. Which means they are all genuine spiritual practitioners who faithfully and rigorously practice Maa’s teachings.

Maa is my grand aunt, I had my kumari puja in her Kolkata ashram in celebration of her birthday, and my grandfather (her nephew) spent part of his childhood with her & continued to be blessed by her throughout his life. We all were and still are blessed....She is Bhakti in its truest essence....joy Maa!

@@2sridhark There are different levels of progress in spirituality, I believe. Therefore anyone can be spiritual. Bollywood/movies are definitely more challenging, and it is almost for certain an actor/actress can't be among the MOST famous if they want to stick to what Dharmma says. But I think there are a select few who ARE considerably walking the path (they are not as well known and are actors, but still). Gagan Malik for one, and Gautam Rode, etc. That's because I don't know too many actresses.
I think Juhi Chawla is walking a more righteous path than even that Ramdev etc. actually who just promoted cow urine for an "Ayurvedic COVID cure" and making lots of money from that. And maybe Jaggi Vasudev too, a shady character selling "Kailash Tirtha" water for over $200 each copper bottle. SO one cannot be a "godman" and be spiritual either. LOL.
Spirituality is in everyone, in different levels :) Including actors/actresses who at least attempt it. Some, I bet, successfully. Everyone sins amidst their spirituality.

Maa reminds me of a childhood friend's grandmother who had a very big heart to care for such a brood of wild boys in more ways than one. Sadly they don't emulate her very well but no doubt she is the Queen of their hearts with the amount of unconditional love she showed them. How sweet it is to be in the presence of someone like that. I've also known that unconditional love in my own mother and grandmother and I've come to associate with the divine feminine I would describe in my own experience as selfless soft and luminous that I'm over the moon for as an infant is with their own mother. I can sense Sri Maa's loving presence in my own humble heart as I watch this. She reminds me of the Mother of Christ but she is completely absorbed in the love of Sri Krishna. No mistaken her ecstasy or absorption in God and Guru nor do I feel the need to follow her around like some love sick puppy either. I consider her and she is their in my heart like Christ and see I still have a long way to measure up to but grateful they are there to look up to and aspire to. See life through their blessed eyes. I think I would be lost without these true saints avatars and lovers of god and not wealth power and fame that produces such monsters still with us today. I don't see the divine teachers as god but one with and the company of saints and the love of god is their only focus and have turned away from worldly pursuits. I see many elderly types have time now to think of god if not embittered and hardened by their worldly experience like myself but I have turned within for what I seek now unconditional love in my own heart and soul. My mind is silent a mere witness to wonder of life that seems so cradled by a much greater intelligence some would call god and some would not. My God is Benevolent not angry vengeful and requires sacrifice like we sadly see out of the middle east and have had to rise above thanks to Christ and have flown East for greener pastures in the footsteps of Zoroaster not Alexander. Benevolence matters and Sri Maa surely embodies it and what I'm attracted to in the saints and sages of the Orient and any saint worth their salt. How sad we all can't sit under their tutelage and light but surely in the after life if that's what we strive for but must wait to fully ripen while others taken too young. Fate's a tricky thing either or I want to be in that golden state that's eternal and can draw near in the flesh and reflect in our own hearts and minds.

In the Total Benediction of The Universal Ultimate Love Satchidananda this self had the Most Beautiful Darshan of Ma, twice, in 1976-first time on Guru Purnima day in the Dehra Dun ashram and the second time about a week or two later in the Haridwar ashram where this self had a gift-a personal Darshan. Can still remember a few lines of her bhajan in Dehra Dun-Satyam Jnanam Anantam Anandam Brahma Om!

So im reading that a couple of you have dreamt of this beautiful soul just like I did and that's awesome!! About 2 years ago I read about her and saw two pictures of her, one as an older woman and the other of her young and deep in samadhi. I thought the images were amazing. So Im asleep and dreaming and completely aware and Im looking through a camera lens and see young Ma walking from left to right wearing a green dress, it was very unfocused and I couldn't get the focused shot before she left my sight then she's sitting right next to my left hand side as an older woman! She hands me a golden bracelet but I wasn't interested in that so I put it back into her hands, I just wanted to look into her eyes. They kept shifting all over the place so I grabbed her face and looked right into them and instantly woke up and I had real tears in my eyes!! It was a feeling I cant explain but it was glorious and I felt wonderful upon starting my day! Thanks for this video and big thanks for the name of the song at around 9:26 ive been trying to find what that song is called for the longest!! Peace and love to every single one of you good people!!
