PLEASE READ! For me, the only vocal performance that would have made sense for this song, on Plastic Beach, would have been Bobby Womack. I couldn't find any vocalists with his style (no surprise there, the man was a legend), and I certainly didn't want to use any AI, so ultimately I decided to leave the track instrumental. I'm still very proud of it, and it's constantly stuck in my head. Dima's horns turned out even better than I hoped for. I hope you don't mind the lack of vocals on this one, and rest assured the next one will likely have some pseudo-Damon singing (as usual)😎 Cheers!
Yeah, that makes sense, this would sound amazing with Bobby womack on vocals so I see why you'd leave it instrumental if you can't find someone who can sing in his style
@@user-Mandu0987 I’ve never been big on Dead Butterflies. It feels like it has all of the pieces of a good song, but the final product feels a little messy. Otherwise I’m pretty hard pressed to find a Gorillaz song I don’t like.
@@miasweatman7340 Many people have theorized that it’s the evolution of one of the Electric Shock demos! I’m on the fence myself on whether or not that was intentional , but it absolutely has that sound!
youre genuinely so damn good at these, you transform the songs so wonderfully and completely understand what makes the sonic signature of a given album or artist. you deserve so much more recognition!! keep em coming!
This indoubtedly sounds like a real genuine lost Plastic Beach song The story goes, that the idea for Strobelite was as far back as 2008, but they never had enough time and such to actually produce it and finish it, and unable to find a guest artist, so the song was eventually scrapped in favor of Welcome To The World Of The Plastic Beach. Years later, after Gorillaz reunited, they found the old demo sitting around in the studio, and decided to finish the song finally, with Peven Everett. And eventually, in 2017, Humanz was released with none other than 'Stobelite'
I LOVE THIS, and it makes me almost confirm the reuse of electric shock for this song, could you do another one like this but with she my collar, PLEASE.
Wow! I felt like i was at the plastic beach live show again ❤ ive never really liked strobelite but i like this one. People are mentioning electric shock, i LOVED that demo
OMG I LOVE THIS❤️❤️ it definitely gives me similar vibes to Stylo. If you're taking requests for other Gorillaz album swaps maybe Hallelujah Money on S/T?
@@HudsonB-pd3ud November Has Come and Hong Kong are way up there. Probably a tie between those two. Opium and New Gold are up there, too. It changes a lot!

@@eggbeatz Yesssssss that's true 😭😭 and with She's my Collar I don't like the collaboration and it's not a song I would listen to.
we gettin' Electric Shock fellas ⚡⚡⚡
I never thought about it but Strobelite ABSOLUTELY has a Plastic Beach sounding melody

Such a good recreation of the plastic beach sound!
dude, New Genius (Brother) in demon days style would go so fucking hard
It's amazing how it feels like something that is actually part of the Plastic Beach album.

Suena como welcome to the world of the plastic beach es muy bueno❤
Absolutely banger🔥

Awesome!! Strobelight was one of my favorites off Humanz!, how about Superfast Jellyfish and Empire Ants on Humanz?
I just had an idea. How about a "what if Empire ants was in humanz" And instead of the voice of Little Dragon put the voice of Kali uchis
Revolving Doors on Demon Days would be cool!! What is your favorite Gorillaz song?
