I’ve stopped tipping all together. I’m so tired of it. I’m done ✔️ I’ve already paid for a service, so I’m not paying more for the service I’ve already paid for. That’s why I like traveling overseas…tips are not required.
Tipping was supposed to be for people that were not being paid the full hour like in some restaurants. They used to get paid $5 if the minimum was $10. But they'd get the difference with tips. If an employee gets paid their full hour rate, there's no need to give them a tip for a job they're already getting paid for to do.
FACTS: The tablet companies selling these POS systems into the corporate buyers, sell the tipping feature as an extra revenue stream. Chew on that for a bit . Even I is a capitalist, am completely grossed out by this .
In Asian restaurants, always tip cash and give it directly to the servers as I found a lot of owners , especially of the Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants keep 100% of tips paid by cards and do not give any to their servers. If you don’t have cash, ask servers if they are getting the tip paid by card , if not , zero tip, and servers will be happy that you did that “not enriching the owner at the expense of their stolen tip.
It's just another way for companies to stick it to consumers and keep their profits high. I don't tip unless I'm in a full service sit down restaurant.
NBC should be asking Airport OTG & merchants: Do they pay server, ie waitress wages or do they pay minimum wage (or higher)?? Customers have traditionally tipped dine-in orders to help servers earning SERVER wages
One word. Greed. Businesses know some people will cave in and tip and that tip is an extra profit for them, times the people who tip by hundreds or thousands or millions and you have an extra flow of profit coming in.
I agree tipping on traditional services like a a sit down restaurant makes sense but like Emily said companies could pay their employees more. In fact they should pay their employees more. Don't beg people to infused the economy with money by purchasing your stuff then guilt them into paying more, its ridiculous

I believe tipping should be different depending on the person's income bracket, so the more money someone has, the more money they should be expected to tip. Kind of like how the more money someone has the more taxes they have to pay.
Nonsense. Tipping is a reward, not a requirement. It doesn’t matter how rich or poor someone is, it’s their money and they are entitled to do whatever they want with it.
@@catdaddy2643 Cashiers are supposed to be friendly and answer questions. Isn’t that part of their jobs? No one tips a firefighter and that’s a dangerous job. No one tips teachers. I know plenty of them who worked long hours after school and showed up for PTA meetings and Saturday fun fairs without being compensated. No one tips sales clerks in clothing stores. I understand tipping wait staff because they get less than a minimum wage. I used to be the cashier in my family’s diner. I received a straight wage, and was never tipped.
I cannot pay at Panera’s without either tipping or declining to tip. There is no wait staff at Panera’s. What service am I tipping for?
that place never required tips long before and now ask for one just like oberweis, subway.

This is what I go by. Tips for waiters ok but not for all these people who were never tipped before and now think they are entitled.

The main issue is corporations understand that if they can pass on wage increases to consumers, they will do that to keep their overheads lower.
That's not an "issue," it's a fact.
I only tip waitresses and waiters. All others get a thank you and have a nice day.

@@frankfei9130 I don’t eat in Asian restaurants so I don’t have to worry about carrying cash.
I'm not shy to press the "no tip" button. Not that hard really.

Complained need to pay their employees more so that customers won’t have to tip them.
This does not include waiters and waitresses. Tip them.
I stopped going to Starbucks for this reason.
I don't tip no matter where I'm at.
GoFundMe needs to have ads on their site to pay the bills and not ask for a tip.
Finally a Tipping Backlash. Way over due !
Consumers need to stop tipping and abolish the “guilt “ tripping tipping system - maybe then the employers will pay the workers liveable wages
I can't afford to tip, sorry.
I just stopped going to our local candy/fudge store. No more tablets shoved at me. They lost a customer forever.
Emily - that is NOT want companies want to do.
I just walkout leave the item
Easy no tip goodbye . I enjoy now punching no tip every time do your job
Everyone should always tip, no matter if you are asked 2 tip or not,I 4 1 ❤ tipping, I even tip when I simply ask an employee 4 where is the restroom.

So their employer, who is making much more money, should tip more aka pay them more?
HA HA HA HA HA HA
Imagine someone like Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos tipped like $1000 because to them $1000 is pocket change.
Not tipping should be made a federal crime.
The cashier always needs a tip
For what service? For allowing me to pay?
