    Love your videos. I thought I could start reeling off female artists that fit this mold, but then I could only think of Karen Dalton and even she was barely recorded. There must be so many great songs by women in particular that were never heard because the singer was not enough or too much fill-in-the-blank.

    This is hardest kind of music to try to introduce to my friends, my one friend rants the second he hears Jeff Tweedy's voice, but I love it. It's fun knowing music can come from anyone and when it hits, it hits.

      thanks dude! haven't heard of em but checking em out rn and definitely see it. this kinda rap is so lyric focused that a polished, good singer would almost be worse for what they're trying to get across. appreciate the reco
