Hey Tim, I had the same issue with my 675LT. The car was not driven for a few weeks and the battery level dropped low even though it was on the charger. My issue was that the C-tek charger needed to be reset. Once I hit the reset button it started charging the car without issue. I also had a charging issue when the car IRIS display did not turn off after turning off the car, this then ran the battery dangerously low after a few days on the charger. After hard resetting the IRIS system things were back to normal. Cheers!
Yes I agree Tim is great but the guys are also great so we need to bring it up on all the channels comment boerds so that Tim knows and doesn't forget also the guys should get a car for each of them one they are passionate about because it's all about passion
You guys definitely need a trailer for moving large objects, then a closed trailer for transporting cars that might not be able to be driven on the road/other large objects adding.
I really like the behind the scenes aspect of this channel. The 675LT issues are standard fare for older performance or super cars that don’t move much. You should consider investing in a diagnostic tool for the garage, it will help give you an indication of an issue before you need to take it to someone. An iCarsoft or Autel unit can do multiple cars including Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc. they are not crazy expensive in the grand scheme of things.
Regarding the SF90 and the PPF on the roof...(you may have already tried this, and I missed it...) have you tried applying heat to the PPF roof area? I thought that PPF would reshape/heal itself when heat is applied to the area. Just a thought. And thanks for the great content on the Shmuseum channel!

Valid question. Although they do have a system where the cars won‘t sit for any longer than the Zenvo did, so I don‘t know if it‘s actually a potential issue.
@@ArKritz84 It is not. Not only do they try to rotate the cars, they also shuffle them about quite a bit. I have cars sitting for 4-6 months sometimes, and zero issues with flatspotting. It was a bigger deal on the older Pirelli PZero, but not on the PZ4. If the car is on MPS4S or MPSC2, it's even less of an issue.
Like the S8 gents. Please include something like it or a Rolls, moving onto an S class etc. you could fund it, surely you wouldn’t miss one or two of the supercars, they’re the same thing. Just saying
Never seen so much dust on your cars before. Haven’t the guys doing the work heard of dustless sanding? It’s going to be like fog in there when they sand that filler on the walls if they don’t. I know they have no idea how to paint but surely they should be on top of the dust levels with that fleet of cars in there.
I can only imagine the problems that the McLaren is going to have with it not being driven regularly. I’m guessing it’s going to be a nightmare in the future because McLaren definitely cannot build a car that doesn’t need ridiculous maintenance costs and issues 😢😢😢😢
At my old job, we had some Lenovo laptops that needed a firmware upgrade for the battery as they were “failing” after 12 months. Only brand I have had to do that for.
Do you know which type of lithium ion battery it is? Is it LiFePo4? At least BMW LiFePo4 (used in F80 and F82) batteries require special program from CTEK. Maybe it is the case with McLaren as well to keep them check. If I recall right the battery internal overvoltage protection kicks in with LiFePo4 when you charge it with the traditional Lead Acid / AGM battery charging mode.
Coming from Canada, that is not snow boys, and you're driving in cold rain really lol. You know what it's like to drive in snow Tim, so just busting your balls.
I love what you're doing with the place but I can't help but ask what's taking so long to finish the build out? I don't know if it's the way you edit and order you post in or if it's real time and it's looking like that this week... I'm just saying I would have expected everything to be done by now. Lights installed and flush with the ceiling which would be painted ceiling white and your wall's choice of color flooring done. The amount of work they seem to have gotten done is either they put in not so many man hours due to winter weather and you not being there, which is very possible. But if they've been working on this and this is current, that should have been done right now. I'm talking with two guys working 9 to 5:00 business days.
Surprised Tim, because of your OCD you haven't put any hooks up on the wall behind the cars to hang the charger plugs and cords, lol. The space is coming along great bud.
@@docpj9665 Tim definitely has OCD for sure not that that's not a bad thing at all, I understand the mess, but there are all types of OCD focused personalities. He is very detailed orientated and that is how he can produce so many different videos in so many places. He calculates everything, oh and checked the roof rack suction a lot, lol.

I think if you ask Tim he will say he is on the spectrum....again it is not always a bad thing for some peoples lives. I feel bad for the people who are literally crippled by it.
I think he's done with McLaren. I don't think either part has very much of an interest in one another. I think he's also done stomaching the McLaren depreciation game.
It may be best to just get a new battery 🔋 for the LT because using the laptop analogy as when battery behaves like this, it is probably on its last legs

I would never get rid of the 675,it's arguably the best car MacLaren ever made,even smèe said its the best car he's owned! Also when Harry Catchpole tested the 765lt spider he complained it suffered from scuttle shake which the 675 never did !
Have you thought of having an air compressor installed? Could just blow the dust off outside, instead of having to wash the car each time. It works well when my bike gets dusty at work 😁
@Goobi with the products they use while washing the cars, all the dust will do is sit on top of that, and the ppf. Easily just blown off. If dust particles caused abrasions then every single car would look like crap 🤦

True, but this is not a Lipo. Add to that the controller INSIDE the battery, not the external IBC, will put it in storage charge if needed be. At any rate, these are LiFe batteries, and they are much less prone to some of the issues associated with LiIon and especially Lipo.
True. I think the more odd thing is that Tim claims to use it, but for what? His Lusso was purchased at a Ferrari dealership. The Aston was purchased at a dealership. There is the Clio V6, but that's about it. Just about everything else is new.

That would simply destroy the paint.
@Goobi no it wouldn't? 😂 I work in a car repair shop, painting cars on a daily basis. If it destroys the paint, then the paint was terribly done.
@@Jake-pd2hj yes it would. Each of those dust particles will render minute abrasions in the paint. It has to be carefully rinsed off before washing.

Keeping a LIPO battery permanently topped up is bad for it.
We use CTEK Smart Chargers, they don't constantly provide full power to the battery
