Putting this down right now before seeing if it was worth it, I was so happy when you locked coupon, with everything costing 50% more, coupon is also worth 50% more, reducing the final inflated price by 5%.
I should have done a better job talking about this during the run but that's actually not true! It just changes your item price stat by 5%, so for mutant it just changes prices from 150 to 145. it will save you the same amount of materials per item bought as on a normal character (5% of the item base price), but you'll buy fewer items so the total savings will be less over the full run.
One interesting thing you mention about luck for this character, yeah you roll more often expensive items, but the earlier you get higher tier items also mean the will be quiet cheaper.
I saw you passed over a few ethereal axes, totally should’ve tried to maintain at least one of those for the first 5-10 waves for the damage. The melee is nice, the shower of .45 spikes tearing through anything approaching you. It let’s you focus on Smalls while the Bigs get peppered still approaching.
I've found Knight is the most powerful class in the base game by far, did the cycle of all his starting weapons Danger 5 last weekend as a little challenge to myself and won all first try no sweat and I'm probably 1/3rd the player you are at this game. Only getting lvl2 melee weapons and never having to build melee since armor is 1:1 can't be beat.
I found it interesting that you dump-stat'd Ranged Damage! Obviously it works just as a hammer, but I feel like it would be something to talk about as a decision. EDIT: made this comment too early, you mentioned that the ranged portion of the damage is useless. This will be an important adjustment for me next time I pick up the cacti club.
yup, sadly the scaling on the ranged portion is so low and the cost of having to buy both damage types is so high that it's better to just ignore that they have ranged damage at all (except on Generalist and Apprentice)
5:30 I think the mats from Bag actually contribute to XP and are therefore tripled (Since you normalle get 100% of the experience you earn, on mutant +200%)
Sadly they don't - mats you gain from items are just money, not xp. You can see it pretty clearly in this video actually when I pick up a crate during the wave - our xp bar doesn't move, and it would jump ahead by miles if it was giving me xp
@@Cephalopocalypse ah damn, the wiki didn't mention anything as far as I could see, t'was why I mentioned it. Great play through and video as always. I haven't been watching as religiously as I did once, because I finally finished Danger 5 on all the characters. But these are always great and cozy to watch, and I do still come back to some of the random/random and guides for some insight. Keep it up man, your 'vibe' and style is hard to match anywhere else on this platform
Yo the biggest thing Blobfish needs to work on in the mext patch or w.e is.....LUCK. Everyone knows its a broken stat. This game is super finely crafted with everything else but luck is abysmal
So i have no experience other than a pointless wave 20 on danger 0 Well now that i bring that up, do you think is worth the grind to beat the game with every character on danger 0 and so on until danger 5? Ive completed most chacters already danger 5 without trying lower difficulty tho but im not too sure if your friend want some tips for a smother brotato experience
Personally I just played the lower difficulties once each to unlock danger 5 and haven't played on a lower danger level since, so I probably wouldn't bother going through every difficulty in order - unless that sounds fun to you :D
@@Cephalopocalypseuh thanks for your reply. Yeah i dont think is worth it to grind in every single difficulty, once i did my first pass on danger 1 i kept looking for a more complex run. btw now im kinda stall with jack danger 5 but i keep pushing
Mutant Guide: take Shotgun, avoid Bag and Recycling Machine R/R run: "hopedully I don't get Shotgun", Bag and Recicling Machine are great... Wins both runs anyways. I guess skill beats strategy...
Want to share that higher luck doesn't effect your shop items. The dev confirmed that. Sorry. This is why you can have extreme negative luck and still buy legendary items.
@@Cephalopocalypse I posted a recommendation on the steam forums for luck to have greater impact on shop items and the dev responded with this information that level is what drives the shop items, not luck. Extreme luck will help a little, but basically the shop level is everything.
I don’t know, if you intentionally make math mistakes you will probably lose viewers. My wife and I refuse to watch videos if we realize that the content creator doesn’t use proper grammar in thumbnails and descriptions 😊 Another fun video, my friend! I suck at playing mutant
What...? That's a crazy thing to say, think and mean. People who don't speak English fluently are just off the table because of their improper grammar. I get that you get to choose the content you watch, but telling someone that they're inferior at their job and that they will fail their task to gain viewers because of a grammar mistake, is an absolutely insane thing to say, especially to someone who does this as a hobby, but maybe with the intent of turning it into more than just a hobby in the future. This is a private person. A guy working in retail does not need to be told that fewer customers are visiting the store, because of his grammatical incompetence either.
Recently I finally got brotato, your guides are priceless for someone like me
Same here!
Awesome, glad they're helping!
"Why aren't you getting three bags in the shop?". Best comment to live by. I will surely try my best to follow that directive.
??
Great video! The 9 times 8 error was pretty epic.
Thanks for the guides! Started playing when I saw it on gamepass. You’ve helped me a ton because I’m horrible at bullet hell games
i just watch this every time. you make good ones
That initial weapon roll reaction was amazing😂😂
Nice run! Looking forward to trying out your strategy of being more lucky, I think that's what I need to finally beat Danger 5 on Cyborg :P
I highly recommend it!

For me, i am so poor at saving. So, with a xp boost is the best play style for me. Also, i envy you with that smooth knock back. XD
Commenting for “comment farming” comment. Brilliant.

There was a Arctic air event, that was really cool this year, I mean it got down to 14 in Texas. Oh you mean the other way :)
tell me about it, we have about five inches of solid ice on the ground right now, all the roads are shut down

Yes..... i love all ur vids but the nilla random/randoms r my fav
Great video as always.
If they ever do something like make skins that you can unlock for the different characters… The Mutant needs to have a Leela skin 😄
No, you were right. 9 times 8 is 56. 🤣
A good thing that happened to me this year? So far, I got 4 people starting new jobs.

Whats the best character to play rn?
Depends on your goal! If you want the easiest win, probably Knight or Doctor - otherwise, whichever you'll find most fun!
"farming engagement" haha
nice potato

I'm curious where you saw that! That's not what the in game description or the datamined calculations say (you can check the wiki for those).

I just did mutant with smg because smg is op and it was easy
just aggresively roll for ranged dmg in the later waves'
how to get rich: put a dollar in a piggy bank everytime you say "i want x but i'll take y" in a video :D

Talking about mistakes, double-check you comment, there’s no comma after your initial “I don’t know” because there’s and IF after.
@@seisdoble6 he edited his comment like 5 minutes after your comment lol
Oh my! Sorry I didn’t mean to cause any trouble I was just being sassy. Oh, internet…
No one wants to be farmed for engagement. You make comments like that, you lose viewers.
