Actually Russia being independent from Kazakhstan is real, but not about Ussr. It is way before, Golden Horde was controlling nowadays' Russia and Ukraine lands. When Golden Horde collapsed by Amir Timur, Russians (Slavs) became independent from Turkic domination. The funny thing here is, both of Timurid Empire and Golden Horde were Turkic. A Turk destroyed a Turk.

Uhh... I don't think they declared independence from Kazakhstan. It is true that Kazakhstan was the last Soviet Republic to be in charge of dissolving the Soviet Union but the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic declared its independence from the Soviet Union, Kazakhstan was declaring independence from the Soviet union as well even though they were the ones in charge of it at that point. If anyone disagrees with this then please, enlighten me.

Yall can laugh all you want, but Kazakstan did a smart move there. By 1990 ethnic Kazaks were reduced to 40% of KazSSR's population. If Kazakstan left USSR it could've caused ethnic clashes and separatism as it already happened in some republics. But Russia's secession before Kazakstan prevented territorial claims and thus "betrayed" ethnic Russians had no one to blame but Russia.

Eh, no the USSR was a political federation, all states there were defacto still sovereign but for example Belarus had its own seat in the UN, the rest including Russia were represented under the union. So when everyone left, including Russia, the union for a couple days was simply just Kazahstan, despite yes Russia being the dominant stste during its time. So by legal junction, the Russian federation on paper got its proverbial indpedence recognition from Kazakhstan, the Soviet Union.

Yea, no. I know this video is only meant to be a joke, but this is basically "Russia is Ukrainian because it originated from Kievan Rus" logic. The government and Gorbachev was still in Moscow, and all the international discussions were held in Moscow. Kazkahstan never represnted the USSR as a whole and was always viewed as a part of the USSR and never a state representing it.
So this video shouldn't have used the word "technically", since those countries technically declared independence not from Kazakhstan but the USSR which wasn't Kazakh-centred.
