Tinseltowns Whizard (Chloe) Road To The Horse 2023 Bridleless Reining/Dressage Freestyle

Chloe's performance from last Saturday at Road To The Horse... Every time I get to step into the arena with this girl and share her brilliance with others, something special happens, and this time was no different.
We again didn't have much of any real warm up, so although she was quite fresh as we went into that big atmosphere, I was so proud of her for still being able to stay so connected. She also gains quite a bit of confidence from Rio when they perform together, so this time, she had to rely on and look more to me for support.
She stepped up beautifully, and since we had a little more time during this performance than we sometimes do, it was so much fun to be able to combine more of our dressage work with the reining, especially since we so rarely get to show, since I have still not used any headgear during her training since I started riding her. Chloe blended the two together into such a challenging, yet beautiful dance.
Since we had a little more time, I was also able to structure my performance to give her more opportunities to reset and relax mentally and emotionally during our routine, that you can see if you look closely. While these moments may not be as exciting or thrilling to watch, I point them out because to me they are just as important, if not more so, than all of the thrilling maneuvers and movements, in helping my horses to maintain confidence, relaxation, and trust in me, while performing.
I absolutely loved the way Chloe helped me hit some of the music transitions with her own little flare, and I got chills as I rewatched it again last night. I am so thankful for this beautiful girl, and for the way she is inspiring people to look at things differently, and to realize the power of creativity and maintaining an open mind and heart.
And last, but certainly not least, I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to live in America, the land that has afforded me the opportunity to work hard and chase my dreams, see them come to life, and then to share them with others. Thank you so much to all of the men and women who serve and have served to protect that freedom.
