Jacksons tempo, style, and arrangement got me tho. -and then with the intro/fanfare.... but this part undeniable 00:46 Jezus but this too lol 1:46 (lower brass)
TSUs trumpets did not carry the melody alone, their lower brass assisted the carry, as TSUs trumpets were just as weak in projection; as it was claimed JSU was... JSUs trumpets were not assisted by their lower brass, as their lower brass delivered the groove and dramatics; which they carried majority of the arrangement.
to be honest i call it a draw.. J State just not pushing watts like they were previous yrs when playing this. I like the Boom, but anybody claiming the boom took this is a straight j State zealot. Tnsu version was clearly more powerful, but J State had the groove and familiarity and classic we love, and in all honesty that's the Only thing that kind of saved J State. Even Tnsu Tubas was shining on J State. not sure what was the issue with the Boom but they truly was skating on thin ice with this one. I think J State is trying to focus ALL and i do mean all their energy on playing extra sharp and clean so much so that it's really hurting their power. that' or they're being held back.
I’m lost. I swear I heard JSU sending it right back with groove and power. Tnsu version was clear, but it was a snoozefest. I love Tnsu sound, but some the energy in some of their arrangements are bland.
Jackson State for the win in my book then they had a fanfare
We played that back in 2012. It's nice hearing it again after all these years 😂
@@cchisolm92cc I been waitin
TSU arrangement was more powerful, but JSU brought the groove.
The Boom gave me that “Bobby Brown” energy in this arrangement. TNSU just played it straight through.
TSUs arrangement was very choppy... JSU gave that groove, however their tempo seemed to had issues, being played so fast
JSU! I also loved the 93 version with that baseline it had.. classic!!
The only thing that changed was the btones taking the octaves up
TnSU gets this. Trumpets are more prominent.
Agree JSU had no melody because of the lower brass taking over
Jacksons tempo, style, and arrangement got me tho. -and then with the intro/fanfare.... but this part undeniable 00:46 Jezus but this too lol 1:46 (lower brass)
TSU with the W. JSU is not allowing the melody to come through like it's supposed to come. You can hear each part in TSU's arrangement.
TSU had no groove. It didn’t capture the essence of the song.
JSU mos def! But the arrangement changed a little bit from the 92/93’ version. Boom-tastic babeeeee!
BOOM GOT THIS...NO DOUBT..TSU PLAYED IN ONE TUNE...WHY MAKE AH CHEESE TOAST WITH NO BREAD. TSU🍞🧀...HUH??
Thee Sonic Boom 💥 for the win here.
Boom took that!

TSU got dat W
JSU not even close. They got groove

Bullshit. Jackson State with the clear W

@@jheht2000 bland as unseasoned chicken😂👎🏾
@@jheht2000 are you sure you're listening to the 2019 battle? lol
Reese Madden Even they guy at the end was “pressed” about JSU sending that fire across the field.😩
😂😂😂😂 now everybody go listen to southern version.
Why so we can hear how out of tune they are? Nah, I’ll pass.
I listened. It really doesn’t sound much better than TSU or JSU....JSU’s version sounds the best out of all 3 tbh.
