Good stuff as usual Brad. I’ve had one of those lights for a few months. I dig it. It seems more stable than some of the other Meross products I own. Meross stuff as a whole is ‘hit & miss’. - Their In-wall Switches have been stable since their last firmware update. - Their GDO Controller still goes ‘No Response’ a couple of times a month. - Their In-wall Dimmer goes ‘No Response’ about once a week. - Their Outdoor Smart Plug goes ‘No Response’ at least 3X a week. Sometimes more frequently. Just my experience. Anyway. Again. Great video. Thanks for the review.
Hi Bradley, I've had pretty decent luck with Meross (a few smart plugs and wall switch). In general I try to avoid too many wifi devices but maybe I've gotten lucky. Thanks for watching!
I have on my bed side table and I love it. It’s easy to setup with home and I have some scenes already that use this lamp. I think it’s a great purchase.
So strange lol I bought this a few days ago! I like it so far. The only issue I had with it was, I had to connect it to the Meross app before it would connect in the home app. And then the sticker adhesive protecting the touch button on top, was way too sticky and I had to scrub it with alcohol to get it off. Wasn’t impressed with that. But I will say for the cost and reliability with connectivity it is a great light!
Wow, crazy timing! I’m glad you like it. I didn’t have any residue left over from the sticker but great feedback for others to consider. I hate when that happens! I agree though, it’s a great little accent light! I’m so happy with it!
Hey just an fyi you can adjust the trim on the lutron dimmers to stop that flickering! Also if your lutron dinner is off, if you hit the up arrow it will turn on to the lowest setting. Combing this with adjusting the trim I was able to make it act like a night light in the middle of the night
Hi Nick, interesting info! I have to hit the up arrow 3-4 times for the lights to come on at all. I have a PD-5NE installed in our bathroom (has the favourite button similar to pico) I can just press it and light will come on at a customized light level. I'm not sure what you mean by the trim, can you expand on that? Thanks!
Great review Brad, you have inspired me to get into setting up a smart home now and just bought 4 Meross smart plugs. Subscribed Instantly! Perhaps you could help with me? I have had this lamp for over a year and could not connect it so gave up, now I know why and can give it a go. Do I need to seperate the wifi bands on my modem router so it connects with 2.4ghz only? I was planning to start using the Apple AirPort Extreme router for all my apple devices which I believe combines both 2.4 and 5. Any advice would be appreciated mate. Love from Oz 🇦🇺
Thanks so much Padma! Appreciate your support. I don’t think it’s necessary to separate the wifi band since most routers including airport express will broadcast in both. Having said that everyone’s set up could be different so if you’re having trouble, you could try that. Cheers! 🇨🇦
Thanks for the review. I have Mijia bedside lamp and sometimes it is not responsive. Do you have the same problem with this one? Also where did you buy your HomePod stand and would you recommend it? Just an idea, perhaps you can do a video on how to neatly organize the cables of your HomeKit devices such as HomePod, lamps, air purifier, etc., so the cables are not as noticeable.
This has been very responsive. I haven't had a no response error once in the 2 months I've tested this out for. Thanks for your video ideas too! The Homepod Mini Stand is from Balolo and I LOVE IT. The lagging in brightness change, that doesn’t bother me. But, is this lag also present in color cycle? Like, can i set cycle of colors to change automatically and will there be lagging between color changes? Please answer it… thank you

Hi thank you very much Is it possible to set the intensity of the light to increase over time? I mean, can I set at night to automatically set the clock to 40% brightness in the morning at 8:00 and then 60% brightness at 8:05 then 80% brightness at 8:10 and 100% brightness at 8:15
Hi Brad. I got the Meross Lamp and based on your video added it straight through Home Kit. It worked the first time but it doesn’t show up in the Meross App. Have you had any feedback on this happening to others?

I was getting "Flickering" on my hallway LED light, until I adjusted the trim.

@@TheBradLloyd thank you. I just ordered the HomePod stand using your discount code. Hope they give you a nice cut!
@@amphreded Hey it all adds up! I think you will love it!
Meross needs to add Thread support to all their HomeKit products. They would be a good competitor to Eve's rather overpriced products.
I would be on board with Meross adding Thread! Hopefully in the future.
Curious about this 😉 cheers from Portugal 💪😃
It's a great light. Glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching!

Awesome video. Nice product for an out of the box solution. Would be nice if it had a flicker effect like a candle.
Thanks Lawrence, this is a great product. I agree that effects, like flicker, would be a nice addition!

How to reset this. I’m not able to add it in home kit because I changed my wifi password may be that’s why it’s not working what’sthe solution?
how you turn too setup mod ?
Je to connect Thiswaka smart light with My phone
Future video Apple home key locks
Oh yes! Great idea, I can't wait to try out Apple Home key locks. Thanks for letting me know you'd be interested in this!
Have you tried the Meross Floor light? If so, any thoughts?
I want to connect to My Home. Your commentary is wordy but ok however, not what I need. You even mention that set-up is tricky.
