I know this video is old, but I wanted to let you know that as an alpha I tried this fit earlier today. First room? 2 Anchoring Damaviks and a Vedmak. I made the mistake of attacking the frigates first and the Vedmak just liquified my ship. Even overheating the boosters wasn't enough tank. Next time I'll kill the vedmak first!
Good video, and so far the fit has worked quite well for me in T1 electrical! Although there was close call once when I got two overminds and a leshak. I still managed to get out alive but with pretty much no loot and 10ish seconds on the clock lol. Thanks for making the video :)
I would recommend using Worm for tier 1 abysses. More money, stable destruction of all NPCs. But you need to collect only the main container. The Worm can be used as an Alpha Clone with 1 mil SP. In T1 abysses, it's about 40 mil/hour.
@@JustKorben The downside of the Worm is that its very expansive compared to this. The hull alone is 100mil. If your unlucky the Knight can alpha u before u get away. Even if u have high transversal speed u still need to get within 35km to lock him up and send your drones after him. If he gets 2 lucky shots before u can get away after locking him up he will kill u.
I've been running T1 and haven't had the luck of running into not just one, but TWO Overminds and a Leshak. I didn't even know that was possible in T1!
Thanks for the video! Tried and died to second room, always learning! Died to the 2 leshak spawn, they were keeping 50k all time and my arc approach didn't go as pretended, ended up almost burning the boosters but finally died. Any tip on that particular spawn?
Its hard to say :( I think you may have had to go in a less steeper arc. It was a while since Ive used this fit. @Aceface great vid, works great for me, but i cant figure out how to loot everything within the time limits, killing the baddies is no big deal but getting to all the loot in time is a whole other story. thought of using a MWD but then id balloon my sig rad no? and that and that battleship would wreck me?
Don't bother with extraction nodes imo. In t2 they aren't worth it. They only start getting wort your time in t4+. Also sometimes extraction nodes spawn close to you, you can go for those don't have to go for every single one. An MTU and mwd could help getting them all.
I find the jackdaw is a fantastic ship to fly with a similar style -- As a bonus you can bring ATMs and afk all the gurrista sites looking for escalations while you build up skills and ships to abyss run faster. I'd bet a jackdaw could handle this pretty well too with the correct build and a decent pilot. -- Though they can be prone to exploding if you don't pilot correctly.
I don't trust the Abyssal sites. If you're like me and restarted playing the game and decided to speed things up by plexing some isk, be careful. I can't even do a T2 in a blinged up Cerberus. 750 DPS and can't even clear the T2s. The 3 stages look nothing like these when I do it. I get huge swarms coming at me every step of the way in T2s! I'm starting to wonder if CCP flags PLEX buyers in Abyssal for some kind of SUICIDE MODE.
I would recommend always doing a tier lower at first with these builds, so you can absolutely master your ship And the money gain is not really big due to your ship doing lower abyssals so much faster Doing t0 abyssals with my hookbill instead of the recommended t1s made no difference in isk, because I only needed 5min for all rooms instead of 15

i dont see why it wouldnt but i think doing t1 in a dragoon or worm is better since the sites are a lot faster and give better isk per site compared to cruiser sites
Can Alphas do T4s? I gave it try with a ~400m Gila and mid-grade crystals (the ones Alphas can plug in at least), and could finish like 75% of T4 gammas, but the clear times were pretty tight most of the time, and I don't know how much of that is just lack of skills, and how much is due to my inability to fly properly.
Thank you for your guides. They are interesting but with only 2.5 million skill points I cannot really use this Caracal fit. It is supposed to require only "Pretty crappy alpha clone skills". LOL. I need 6 weeks of training just to fit the launchers. The best downgraded fit gives me 153 DPS.
I find it works best to put the ship you wanna be able to fly together in the fitting window and then add all the requisite skills to the queue by clicking on the orange icon that lets you know you're missing skills. Then you can apply SPs to the stuff you absolutely need and anything that takes 33m to 1h I throw in the queue and let simmer for a day and that maximizes your application of SP.
@Aceface Hi, thanks for your videos, they are helping me a lot in my coming back to the game. Do you think a similar fit in a Bellicose would do the trick in the same abyss tier? Same lows, I wanted to drop the hardener for a painter, it's only 4 launchers but more drones in the dps department, and the painter should help there also.
Just can't seen to get this build to work. First attempt, smoked in first room because I forgot to change my default orbit from 1k. 2nd attempt timed out in the 2nd room. 3rd attempt timed out in the 3rd room. Just took forever to chase them down and constant reloads. Hitting at 360 DPS. Looks like I'm sticking with T1 and my Punisher for now.
Very true, hopefully by then the fit has paid itself off. Marshal spawns aren't very common and the fit is decently cheap so I'd assume you can still profit off of T2 abyss
@@goofytycooner5519 losing a ship make u'r income overtime go down. you can run t1 exotic in worm as you may know. as long you know how to deal with the devoted knight. I think i know how to deal with it now.everything else is easy . its better to run t1 exotic in worm than to run t2 electric in a caracal.I already know all the spawns to t1 abyss.
@@JamesSmith-qc6sp I found the Agitated Dark easier then the Electric. The turret nerf of the Dark doesn't affect me and the Capacitor buff of the Electric is not needed.
Hey, i've started using your Corax fit for T0 and it's been working wonders. I was thinking of moving to T1 and as I've already have a Caracal, do you think I could use this fit in your video for T1 electrical ? Would it be faster/easier than the Dragoon ?

Like your content. I have to say though, I tried this fit and I wouldn't say it is easy. It is perhaps doable, but really need to know what you are doing. New alpha clones, don't try this for your first go into the abyss. Start with the T0 and the Corax - that really is pretty easy. If there is an omega clone fit for Caracal anyone recommends, want to see what can be done to improve. Probably would do better with more experience with this fit too. first go got low on time, got pretty beat up. Made it out but had to skip looting.

Don't be sad, man. Today i lost an Astero to a ganker in wormhole, i didn't even have any cargo with me. Happens sometimes, gotta move on. Insure the ships you'll take risks in, it helps you in the long run.
Id say lower tier filaments always been worth it just imo its not enough for me lol. Also depends a little on filament i mean you can do firestorms and filament price is basically nothing so more isk that way.
Now i know why you shouldn't change the fit :). The only thing i've changed is the AB with a MWB and i've got distrupted so the MWB didn't work. Don't use MWD.
Would this fit be OK in Dark Abyss as well? From what my headcannon says since I run t1 in a similiar fit I basically never get hit and if I do it's very little damage.

Ok, lesson learnt. I downgraded some of the modules to meta, ended up with 170dps. I ran into overmind but i only brought 500 missiles. In the end, i ran out of ammo for the last room(2xDamavik, 2xRogue drones). Seems like a promising fit though! Edit: I have max skills that an alpha can have in missiles. Edit2: I did the maths, and 1 navy HAM does 10dps to frigs with signature radius of 40 and velocity of 1000. 1 navy light does around 9 dps to the same frigate.
Also, i don't get why you wouldn't use HAMS. They do more damage, and the increased explosion radius is mitigated by the damage. Th RLML have a long reload time as well.
Tried this ship on my omega clone. First time i had issues with the timer but made it out just in time. 2nd time i died in the first room. I got that exact same fit, got the 5% hardsehll booster. And some implants on shield boost and missile damage and application. Am i getting bad spawns? or bad flying. 1st attempt i got some 7 or 8 cruisers in room 2 and a BS in room 3. 2nd attempt i ended up with 1 cruiser and 2 concord BS's. Because i was in reload one shot before the 1st BS dies i coudn;t tank enough. Edit: Lost a Dragoon yesterday as well in 1st room with Sansha phantasm, but that might be because of the 400% sig radius cloud i ended up in

I just could kill the Striking Kikimora. I do have good enough skills but they just instantly kill my drones if I fly them out and my missiles won't do enough damage :/
Its not outdated but if you really want to do these without some insane boosters, you need months of experience to not die. I lost like 8 20m isk hookbills until I finally mastered t1 abyssals to an extend, in which I was finally profitable
so if this fit can run t2s can it run t1s im tired of buying worms for so much isk i need something cheaper so far ive lost 3 worms to t1s with 2 different fits

Why not a damage control instead of the power diagnosis Also heavy assault missiles might be better...shorter range but more damage, as well as better application and lower reload time
Diagnostics was for easier fitting for the alphas otherwise it would have been good. Heavy assault have really bad application compared to rapid lights actually
@@Aceyface well yeah, thats true. When I did missions in a Drake, I had HAMs for clearing anything larger than a frigate, and lights for clearing frigates. So far I havent seen any need to use my drones, and Im an Alpha with next to bare minimum skills for using missiles. Most of my 5 mil SP went into drones and exploration, anyways :p
@@Aceyface I was at 342 dps .. 309 from missiles .. only got 2 more upg on warheads skill. The 35s reload time gave enough time to enemies to armor back up. Got a few more Caracals in ship hangar to try some similar fits :)

I've tried almost half of your cheap/alpha tutorials and not a single fucking one of them worked. The videos are great but this game just will not let me make money. any other ideas? (I have attempted: triglavian spawn hunting in a shuttle, not enough space to bring back any decent loot. Spawn camping triglavian invasion wormholes, battlecruiser made it not even two minutes before it got ganked by some coercers worth 2M each all of the T1 abyss stuff. nothing could ever survive more than a couple hits from even the weakest waves, the stuff that did didn't have enough firepower to complete even 2 waves in under 20 minutes. of all of the T0 abyss ships, only the corax worked, and barely so. for some reason the missiles literally remove themselves from existence 75% of the time they are fired. No damage, no particle effects, but still took my ammo. Even so, T0 abyss has been the *only* thing I have made any sort of money on, everything else has just been dissappointment. The only other thing I was hoping to make some decent money on, L4 missions, I grinded rep for for days to be told that they are only Omega accessible and a lot of other things I can't remember right now.) what am I doing wrong?
I do not think this build is viable, you have roughly 1.5 minute cap life and your video has you running your boosters for longer than that with good cap, I call BS on this, your Dragoon buuild was also a crap build, the range on missiles and turrets was so short that by time I was close enough to take a shot I was dying, none of your builds have worked as demonstrated in your videos.

I tried upping to T2 abyss the other day, but got a double Trig battlecruiser wave as my first wave and proceeded to hopelessly die to it.

what about dual marshel spawn. if you get a marshel spawn your'e done for.

I wonder if these T2 electric are more difficult now. I can't beat them with your fit. Failed 3 times. Takes too much time with this dps.

I used the Corax in a T1 but it got dicey. My Caracal died twice on T2. I'm 0-3 in T2s

0:38 As I understand it, this is all happening on a test server. Since the cost of Caracal is 10M isk. It's not as easy as shown in the video.

I enjoy the caracal more with heavy launchers. Is it possible to do this same tier abyss with them?
mix up heavy and rapid light because rouge drone wave will take forever with only heavy I run a caracal navy issue with 4 light and 3 heavy launchers

As an Omega using this Caracal fit, I could not even pass the first round against the Cynabal - This was a T1 not even a T2 Abyssal.
What skills do you have?

I just could kill the Striking Kikimora. I do have good enough skills but they just instantly kill my drones if I fly them out and my missiles won't do enough damage :/
Died first try to something called a Twilit Abyssal Overmind. Maybe the video is outdated :(
Its not outdated but if you really want to do these without some insane boosters, you need months of experience to not die.
I lost like 8 20m isk hookbills until I finally mastered t1 abyssals to an extend, in which I was finally profitable

Alpha clone? Rapid light missile launcher 2 requires light missile 5 spec.
You just need light missiles lvl5 and just spec lvl1. You can train it as an alpha.
so if this fit can run t2s can it run t1s im tired of buying worms for so much isk i need something cheaper
so far ive lost 3 worms to t1s with 2 different fits
U have How much dps in worm also t1 Cruisers has way wrost loot than t1 frigates
Man I normally use Caracalls for T1 too. Just use a Caracall with a passive shield and it's done.

you probably piloted wrong, the only factor isnt the ship fit

Yup! Only thing I'd says be a little careful in concord spawns DPS is quite high but you should pull through , especially when you train more skills
Concord hurts so bad I got nocked out by 3 of them in tier 2 with my cormorant surprisingly survived cus I had a buddy in with me.
Took too long to handle frigate, strike frigate, taking too long to reload in abyssal

I found this a great fit just a little slow
The fit did not quite work for me was on the last stage and got wracked by 1 battle ship and 3 frigates it’s a good fit but did not work
I met battleship two times and fail
Lost my ship first try, spent to much time collecting loot xD

i died many tries with his fits but it's ok life is hard
The problem with cruisers is you get shit loot, you get best loot in a frigate.
This fit lasted me about 1.3 minuets
Why not a damage control instead of the power diagnosis
Also heavy assault missiles might be better...shorter range but more damage, as well as better application and lower reload time
Diagnostics was for easier fitting for the alphas otherwise it would have been good. Heavy assault have really bad application compared to rapid lights actually
@@Aceyface well yeah, thats true. When I did missions in a Drake, I had HAMs for clearing anything larger than a frigate, and lights for clearing frigates. So far I havent seen any need to use my drones, and Im an Alpha with next to bare minimum skills for using missiles.
Most of my 5 mil SP went into drones and exploration, anyways :p
Nope, doesn't work. 1 Striking Damavik and 2 Anchoring .. missiles can't do enough damage over their armor heals

@@Aceyface I was at 342 dps .. 309 from missiles .. only got 2 more upg on warheads skill. The 35s reload time gave enough time to enemies to armor back up. Got a few more Caracals in ship hangar to try some similar fits :)

in the test server it works in the real one no, believe me I stayed a whole day and spent 500 mil I'm very broke

I've tried almost half of your cheap/alpha tutorials and not a single fucking one of them worked. The videos are great but this game just will not let me make money. any other ideas?
(I have attempted:
triglavian spawn hunting in a shuttle, not enough space to bring back any decent loot.
Spawn camping triglavian invasion wormholes, battlecruiser made it not even two minutes before it got ganked by some coercers worth 2M each
all of the T1 abyss stuff. nothing could ever survive more than a couple hits from even the weakest waves, the stuff that did didn't have enough firepower to complete even 2 waves in under 20 minutes.
of all of the T0 abyss ships, only the corax worked, and barely so. for some reason the missiles literally remove themselves from existence 75% of the time they are fired. No damage, no particle effects, but still took my ammo. Even so, T0 abyss has been the *only* thing I have made any sort of money on, everything else has just been dissappointment.
The only other thing I was hoping to make some decent money on, L4 missions, I grinded rep for for days to be told that they are only Omega accessible
and a lot of other things I can't remember right now.)

Hey dude! Try on test server and try different strategies. On test server you can practise without losing any money. Should feel. Alot smoother then

I do not think this build is viable, you have roughly 1.5 minute cap life and your video has you running your boosters for longer than that with good cap, I call BS on this, your Dragoon buuild was also a crap build, the range on missiles and turrets was so short that by time I was close enough to take a shot I was dying, none of your builds have worked as demonstrated in your videos.
