David looks like a combination of a few of the past Supermen. Not surprising though since there is defined a mold and a look to Superman that's quite distinct. He mostly resembles Cavill, but in different pics, you can also see hints of Routh in there too.
So if they're looking for someone to play Lex Luthor, (and idk why I didnt realize this sooner) this could be good to have a more grounded villain compared to Brainiac, as much as I'd love to see him appear on the big screen but maybe not when starting Superman just yet. It makes me wonder what could they do differently with Lex, could they introduce Metallo or Parasite or other smaller Superman villains as his lackies? And if it's not even that, could he be a background/secondary villain like how the Penguin was in The Batman? Btw, I mentioned this in the Discord but I think Tom Brittany, the other actor considered for the role of Superman, could be a good candidate for Batman or Hal Jordan Green Lantern.
I’m so happy it worked out like this! I have so much trust for James Gunn and am excited to see them in action. Also, that twitter user has to be psychic lol
9:45 i had the same thoughts! That the authority do heroism a certain way but Superman is here to set a new tone, by holding people accountable the right way! The authority is the perfect first enemy of the Justice League/Superman as it shows the way things are done before Superman shows up and now we can see how things will be going forward
There is a lot riding on this movie for the new DCU so I hope it does well! I don’t know about Rachel Brosnahan though, she seems about 10 years too old for this Clark Kent. Just my opinion
She's only 3 years older in reality tho, as it's not an origin and just jumping into their world think she'll be an established reporter and Clark Kent just starting at the Daily planet imo, who knows, we'll see, I just hope he has the fortress and voice of Jor-el in it
David Corenswet is absolutely perfect for Clark Kent. You cast Clark, not Superman. He's going to be great. Rachel Brosnahan is going to be an amazing Lois Lane. Cannot WAIT for this movie.
@@mohamedfawzy5843 I doubt BatFleck would sign up for it. He was ready to stop playing Batman, so he probably wouldn’t pick up another comic character. And I definitely can’t see him playing a married, Gay superhero. I don’t think Ben is that progressive….(Unless it was with Matt Damon) IJS
I could see Alexander Skarsgard as Lex luthor. He is a bit older than I'd want him to be but I wouldn't be mad if he got the role at all. Him or Nicholas hoult is top-notch for Lex. And I'll say this again, Hoult would also make an excellent Brainiac.
This is a really good cast for Superman And Lois, my only concern is The Authority because I wanted a Superman villain to be part of the movie that wasn’t Lex Luthor, what do you think? I just finished the comic run of the Authority and it’s really good. Recommend.
my guess is, the authority will be financed by lex. who will either work as the kingpin behind the scenes, or will end up as the big bad at the end of the movie. in all honesty, i hope they do something in the middle of golden age era superman, and the more modern take. kinda like set in a "Tim burton's batman"-esque americana version of metropolis. kinda like a mix of modern day and 50's era US.
A couple of months ago, i saw Look Both Ways cause i like Lily Reinhart and obviously i would've love to see her as LL but when this dude appear on screen, i immediately said 'This dude should be the next Superman!!".... and whats "funny" Rachel looks like Lily.
Henry Cavill failed to distinguish between Clark Kent and Superman in terms of persona. Hopefully, David Corenswet delivers on this front as a more uplifting Superman compared to the constantly stoic Man of Steel from the DCEU.
I agree about Holt as Lex. I watched a bunch of interviews and clips of David and Britney..... And even David though looks like a younger Cavill and Tom Welling combined.... His demeanor and the timber of his voice don't resonate as much as for Superman as Brittany, who i think might have been a great new casting. His smile too, is very guileless and honest, kind of in a Christopher Reeve sorry if way. The timer of his voice is also deeper and more man of steel like....We'll see Maybe David is a Good voice actor and has the range that I haven't seen any footage. Can't really argue with Rachel. But I also would have been really curious how Mackie would have showed up for the role of Lois. David has the iconic look but I think Brittany really would have grown on everyone as a new Superman. I wonder how close the decision was and I wonder how much of it had to do with chemistry with with Rachel. Even though i think Britney is the better Superman, maybe Clark gets more screen time.... I don't know that I really saw nearly as much Clark Kent in Brittany footage as I did Superman. Maybe that was the difference maker. Britney would have been an awesome Superman though. I'm telling you, once you got used to a new look, David would have been a better Superman than David. Clark though.... Maybe not.
just from the pictures alone you can see Lois' Sass dripping from her eyes and that smirk. i seriously cant understand how anything thinks there was a more perfect casting than her.

@@channe3049 I've never seen anything he's in so, I have no idea. Same with the lady playing Lois.
6:17 this is a Tom Holland type of break out for David.
The news of David and Rachel is the best thing I've heard out of DC cinema since Henry was first cast
I’m so happy it worked out like this! I have so much trust for James Gunn and am excited to see them in action. Also, that twitter user has to be psychic lol
Bobs looks like he’s been cast as their Jimmy in that awesome down right goosebumps popping thumbnail 😆😯
I was hoping it would be them, so I’m very happy with this casting. Great video as always.
Corenswet: "This looks like a job for Superman"
I want to see Gunn's Metropolis using those Architecture designs from "Never Built New York".
You called it my guy! Keep up the great videos!
All what you say in the beginning I would have believed if you have said it maybe last week 🤔🤔🤔
Holt can be Lex, Barry Allen or maybe in Lanterns.
Hoult could also end up trying out for DCU Batman. I could see him doing a good job as Batman in the Brave and The Bold
I feel like Hoult could be a good Ray Palmer or maybe even Ted Kord
DC Rises.
I was waiting for your reaction 😂
9:45 i had the same thoughts! That the authority do heroism a certain way but Superman is here to set a new tone, by holding people accountable the right way! The authority is the perfect first enemy of the Justice League/Superman as it shows the way things are done before Superman shows up and now we can see how things will be going forward
There is a lot riding on this movie for the new DCU so I hope it does well! I don’t know about Rachel Brosnahan though, she seems about 10 years too old for this Clark Kent. Just my opinion
She's only 3 years older in reality tho, as it's not an origin and just jumping into their world think she'll be an established reporter and Clark Kent just starting at the Daily planet imo, who knows, we'll see, I just hope he has the fortress and voice of Jor-el in it
@@JasonBorn89yes that’s true. I just meant for my preference she isn’t the Lois I would pick
This right here was phenomenal casting fr. We gotta let James Gunn cool boys
Love the choice. About time we get an actor who has range and can play Supes well. Lois lane, and Luthor too. Feels good.
Ok right NOW I dare to hope again
David Corenswet is absolutely perfect for Clark Kent. You cast Clark, not Superman. He's going to be great. Rachel Brosnahan is going to be an amazing Lois Lane. Cannot WAIT for this movie.
Since he was ALMOST The Batman, how about Nicholas Holt as Midnighter? Especially with the Authority slated to appear in Legacy….Im here for it!!!
I was thinking of him as Manchester Black since he's British lol
@@cloudsareriddles that could definitely work. I was just thinking Midnighters mask with Holts pretty mouth…yummy lol
@@SashaAmessMaybe James Gunn would cast Ben Affleck as the Midnighter since his Batman has the same moral code.
Recommend.
There will probably be another villain too. Lex his Supes big bad so he needs to always be around in some capacity.
my guess is, the authority will be financed by lex. who will either work as the kingpin behind the scenes, or will end up as the big bad at the end of the movie.
in all honesty, i hope they do something in the middle of golden age era superman, and the more modern take. kinda like set in a "Tim burton's batman"-esque americana version of metropolis. kinda like a mix of modern day and 50's era US.
@@marcosdhelenoLex Luthor is basically Vought inside human body while The Authority is The Seven but they have a very flawed moral code.
@@channe3049Yeah that's really cool and Manchester Black needs to be apart of the team and have the same Homelander evil moral code.
For some reason, I see Nicholas Hoult more as Jimmy Olsen. Look at him in the X-Men movies he was in. That’s Jimmy Olsen right there imho.
A couple of months ago, i saw Look Both Ways cause i like Lily Reinhart and obviously i would've love to see her as LL but when this dude appear on screen, i immediately said 'This dude should be the next Superman!!".... and whats "funny" Rachel looks like Lily.
All well and good, the script needs to be on point ❤
aint that the truth!
Nicholas Hoult as Jimmy Olsen! 👍🏼👍🏼
Funny that it was a lengthy search but these two have been fan cast as far back as 2019
Henry Cavill failed to distinguish between Clark Kent and Superman in terms of persona. Hopefully, David Corenswet delivers on this front as a more uplifting Superman compared to the constantly stoic Man of Steel from the DCEU.
Emma Mackey as Talia Al ghoul or Poison ivy
Coming back to this video, Brit bro here predicted Hoult as Lex! My boy Boba 🙌
Maybe not.
Rachel Brosnahan is 💯 the perfect Lois lane, thee Mrs Maisel absolutely!
just from the pictures alone you can see Lois' Sass dripping from her eyes and that smirk. i seriously cant understand how anything thinks there was a more perfect casting than her.
You called it. Nicely done.
So hyped for this upload
It’s Maisel! Excellent choice! I can’t wait to see the tone of the movie.
To me Emma Mackie looks like a Lana lang to me than Lois Lane
I wanted tom Brittney and Rachel but I’m ok with what we got I think Tom Brittney could play a good Hal jordan, booster gold, or maybe even Bruce Wayne
I really like Tom Brittney and Phoebe Dynevor, I hope they get cast in the DCU.
I just thought it was terrific castings and I can't wait to see them in the DCU.
Henry is a god to them!!!
Been waiting for this video!!!! 😊
Hoult should be cast as John Constantine it would be perfect for him
He's not blonde
@@BaithNa neither was keanu reeves but i know you are talking about more comic accurate version of him but he could easily dye his hair blonde or else the other character that he could play would be "The Question" For me.
Let's there be hope
I think Holt should try out for the Flash or Batman brave and the bold
@@ahmadmohammed4212 yeah probably, I just like that he seems to genuinely like these characters and I think he could be a very good Batman although not my first choice and I think he could be a very good flash
Waiting on that superman and Lois review it was fire asf 🔥
Releasing tomorrow! I haven't seen it yet but I'm looking forward to it from what I'm hearing!
@@BobaTalksDavid Corenswet: "This looks like a job for Superman"
@@marcusyates3044 100% I agree
I will see this just because Rachel is Lois! I love her and love this part for her.
Nicholas Hoult is destined for something great, you can't take so many L's without at least one W.
I just hope they put enough work into his physical appearance too. Judging by the time still there for the movie to start filming i would like to believe he will be going on some sort of fitness training to bulk up enough to become Superman.
Waiting for your Superman & Lois season finale review!
Hoult has already shown he can play a manipulative role. If anyone has seen Skins he already played it as Tony Stonem
Great video keep it up you're doing amazing things 😁👍
I feel bad for Hoult, man. But like he said, it’s part of the game. Some of the best villain castings have come from the actors auditioning for the hero, though. Think Cillian Murphy as Scarecrow (who originally auditioned for Bruce Wayne) or Tom Hiddleston’s Loki (recently learned that he went out for the role of Thor to begin with). I think we’re looking at a very similar situation here. Make Hoult Lex and let him be charming and conniving
How about Nicholas Hoult as Midnighter of the Authority 🤔😎
Boba strikes again! He called it!! Got both correct
Excited for David Cornswet and Rachel Brosnahan. Please Movie overlords, fingers crossed Nicholas Hoult for DCUs Bruce Wayne/Batman.
Good Call
I think Corenswet will do a great job as new Supe
The fact holt was passed for both batman and superman is kinda funny not gonna lie
Dude wants to be a Superhero so bad he might have to travel to the past to be one... Booster Gold
@@JasonBorn89He's a phenomenal actor and deserves a BIG role. Especially in the DCU.
They look great, Boba. Strong start to the new reboot. I feel either Skarsgard brother would be great and I certainly love Hoult, that said, Alexander adds a physical presence the other 2 don’t have and Lex Luthor to me has always been peak physical fit with high intelligence 😎
