I have to say, I grew up with stick straight hair and desperately wanted curls and waves my whole life. In my third pregnancy, I got some waves for the first time ever, and with my fourth pregnancy I got legit 2b wavy curls and I could not be happier! My fourth baby is almost 4 and it’s just gotten curlier as I’ve learned how to treat my baby fine, low density hair to encourage my curl. I’m now 2b-3a with some 2a in the underside. It can be a crazy mess of chaotic different curl patterns but I love it so much!

I have only a few gray strands but even without the color change, my hair has gone from ~1b-2a to 2a-2c in the last few years! not sure how to make the 2c look good with the 2a but working on it.

One of my go-to's, especially as a busy momma, is to make a little pompadour in the front and then do a ponytail (at any height) or a half up ponytail. I love retro styles, and this gives some retro vibes. I live in Georgia and grew up in the 80s, so I'm not afraid of big hair LOL!

do you have any advice to actually keep your curls without having to wash them? my issue isn’t styling, my issue is my curls fall out so bad after sleeping on them. I’ve tried the t shirt, a silk bonnet, and i just can’t seem to keep my curls without having to wet my hair again!

Hi, I 2b - 3a curls and I've found that if I refresh my curls (just wet them and let them dry, no product) they turn out to be A LOT better and naturally wavy and textured than when I shampoo and plop and everything (I don't use heavy products, just use oil and aloe before washing, wash my hair, put a little conditioner on and then sometimes flax seed gel, that's all) Does anyone know why this could be? My mom has type 2c - 3c hair and it's the same with her
I love this . I noticed that all around your hair the waves always look so perfect . Whenever I scrunch the back of my hair it refuses to curl . Whenever I try to do the cute wash and go scrunch the front looks super wavy and the back looks straight . Keep in mind yes my hair is naturally wavy and yes in high school I always used to straighten it . Is there something I'm doing wrong or any tips or tricks that you might have for me and other girls that have the same problem? The 2 hair gels I use are Miss Jessie's Jelly Soft Curls gel with a bit of the Curlsmith Curl Defining Soufflé gel . I literally put the Miss Jessie's one in first always and do not use more than a dime or 2 of the Curlsmith gel .
