I realize a lot of these shows are about the "shock " value but it's still entertaining and enjoyable. And the bigger the jerk (Dave) are the more entertaining it is to watch.
As I recall Grace did not ask him about a job. Marcus could not even consider that option until the matter of the Sexual discrimination/ harassment lawsuit proceeded in the courts. Marcus had the patience of a saint with this Soup guy. It was one hour of mostly drama.
Marcus is way too nice. If I was in his position as an extremely successful businessman and venture capitalist, I wouldn't even waste more than 20 minutes speaking to that Dave character, let alone invest in his garbage soup business.
I mean, he kinda has to. He signed a contract to film these videos, each business is specifically chosen, and they have an entire filming crew flying out to this location
⭐️ First of all, Marcus, you acted correctly in walking away from this partnership. The situation here is very simple, Dave is the type of a person if things don't go the way he wants he pouts. Dave doesn't have the education or the understanding that a CEO or owner should have with his employees. And, for this reason, he will never have the success that he could have if only he would have come clean to Marcus. Furthermore, I do not doubt that Dave's been after Grace from day one, Not the other way around and since Grace doesn't care for him in that manner, he fired her.
@@leeleefluffy06 I think she was stalking Dave. She is probably the educated partner in the marriage, teaching at my Alma mater University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and Dave may lack self control and requires adult supervision from his wife because she ( and he ) knows he's a screw up, especially interacting with other people. I've concluded this having watched this episode several times.
I am pretty sure marcus made big money out of this 100k , he must have added some clause for business misconduct among other things in the Business Agreement all smart businessmen do
It's cool seeing these recaps like 10 years after and having places to comment. I know Marcus wanted to make it a healthier food spot, but I dunno why he was messing with the recipes. That dude is the chef, and people love the soups. So stop trying to change a succesful product.
For a supposed professional, this guy does an appallingly low amount of due diligence. Maybe he makes up for it with paychecks from the show? Cause in real life he would get to the bottom of most of these issues way before he ever considered investing in them.
Do you recall seeing the Fuel Foods episode where Marcus finds out that one of the company's biggest equity owners was under investigation by the Federal government for an alleged Ponzi scheme and the company manager got hostile and went nuts and couldn't understand why Marcus bowed out of the deal ?
He does not want his name he does not want to work with someone that is going to court falsely terminated an employee and is a terrible person in general
That's why his wife is always around. Dave is an uncontrollable whack job and he needs adult supervision because he has problems interacting with other people.
Really?! Some people feel they are entitled just because of their status in a company or in their society. This doesn’t give anyone the right to abuse another.
lol. Dave is a fool and so is his wife. his wife was the one controlling him about the grace situation. they both through away millions due to his wife's jealousy and daves beta attitude. they'll never have a franchise model. marcus could have turned that business into 200 locations worth tens of millions of dollars in 5 years. dave is a fool.
@@sahibsingh2044 But not for 50%. He offered a bad deal. All these years of watching Shark Tank taught me you never give away more then 49% stake in your business.

Where has this been! Ive waited a while Marcus... The best show ever!
OMG this show has been around forever!! It is the best!!! Welcome aboard!!🙂

You let people treat you a certain way they will do it. Grace fault for letting it happen.
I think Dave make love with Grace and after that the problems came because his wife.
she was there in the beginning and the brains. i think he fell in love. he's not an attractive nor rich man so I doubt grace did anything.
