Thank you, Robert. I think I'm about to print some photos of these screw mounts as a collection. Unfortunately, I only have two left, which are permanent in my collection.
I have Leica II as well and I totally agree with you that this camera is special... Size is perfect and black paint and Nickel is so beautiful. Anyway great start of the Camera channel...
What a find. Even at a bargain price that must been ouch to the wallet. Have never owned a Leica-although, I have picked up an old leitz-Elmar 3,5cm f3,5 lens that was sitting at the bottom of a box at garage sale. I’ll have to pick up a Barnack to mount that lens on.
Screw-ins aren't as much as you would think they are. A better value than jumping up to the M3. A IIIc would do you right without crushing your pocketbook.
@@FilmCameraObsession i had a M2 a few years back, sold it then got a M3 i do regret selling the m2, but the m3 i love it. also i can get one of those Leica II black version but i would need a LTM lens, i am curios of having one of those old ones.
I just got a 2. Very excited to use it. First roll in now. The range focus is a little stubborn. It needs new lube. But I'm trying to understand what the focal ring should feel like. Should it be easy to twist or have a little tension on it?
Nice! Congrats. The focus ring should be smooth and easy. It will need a CLR. I highly recommend Youxin Ye in New York. He has a website. The focus will always be difficult. Most people added a separate range finder focusing column.
I have sold all but three! I am keeping the black and nickel Leica II--I love it! And I'm also keeping the M2, but it needs some work. I still have a IIIc to sell but I'm going to send it off for CLR first.
Sigh. I just sold the IIIg, which I was hoping to hold onto. BUT, I still have the Leica II (check out my video on it) and the M2. Those are staying! But selling them allowed me to keep these two for free and make a little money. I am still kicking myself for selling my M3 double-stroke.
Leicas are beautifully made - I love their shutter sound. The lenses are the real gems. I'm always scared of buying Leicas because there's so many replicas that look so similar... 🦘
I've not had to do this yet, but soon coming. I have found this company nabell.com/products/camera-bellows/ but I can't speak to their pricing. I know new bellows can get expensive. Once you have them, it doesn't look difficult to replace yourself. I have only used Youxin Ye to repair my Leicas, and Dave's Camera in Michigan. But in the end, finding someone without a big wait who isn't overpriced is the key. Which model camera are you working on?
Too late! I have four left. A 1932 Leica II that I just posted a video on. The M2. A IIIg that has an offer. And a IIIc that is for sale. I couldn't afford to keep them all!
Sorry, my friend, they are all sold. I still have one IIIc that will need a good CLR, and I'm keeping the II and the M2. Good luck on your Leica search.
WOW! What a score! I hope you put a roll through each one before you sold them (and made a video about it!)! Great videos! Keep ‘em coming!
Beautiful collection of great and fantastic cameras and lenses! Thank you for presentation.

Thank you, TAK Motors. It is definitely a timeless camera. New episode on the Kodak Retina IIIC coming up.

Just picked up a IIIc and a IIIf off ebay for under $250 each. They're fun cameras.
Indeed. I have one IIIc, the II, and the M2 left. Keepers.
that black leica is so beautiful
Isn't it a beaut! Despite the really difficult range finder, I love shooting it. It is a keeper in my collection for sure.
really cool!
Thank you. I've been loading them with film to check them out.

Yes! Full agreement.
It is so very cool. I will have a show dedicated to that one camera soon.
@@FilmCameraObsession great! Looking forward to it!
I love to own one IIIG…
Almost one or two Cars is on the table…!
Not quite, but I was able to sell most of them to afford keeping a few and buy a new scanner!

I don't even know the model of either camera.
